I have owned all 4 releases of this series and have played each extensively. This is the best one date. For anyone who has played these games in the past, that should be enough said. If you haven't played this series and MLB The Show just isn't quite your thing, give this series a try. Game play is outstanding while the graphics go back to the old days of MLB Power Pros with a more polished and refined look. The addition of a lot of old time MLB player is welcomed, but the traditional Super Mega crew is still intact. Fantastic effort with this release and although it is a little pricey, I'm going to say that is worth every penny if you are a hardcore video baseball fan. Ignore Jacktronics review, another example of Metacritic troll that hates EA, Is an Xbox honk, and couldn't write a legit game review even he did actually play the game for more than an hour.
Great graphics, solid game play, enough elite courses. The clear choice for solo play on current gen systems. Huge game play improvements have been made with the 2 most recent patch releases, plus the addition of a new course. Not yet perfect, but the support from EA has been solid to this point, so things look positive thus far.
This game is highly overrated. It's not a bad game, but it is totally forgettable. I wouldn't go out of my way too far to give it try. After all the reviews I read before playing, I was disappointed.
It's not great. Many things are very unbalanced, decisions very questionable as to if they really affect anything. Just another ho-hum addition to a genre that is becoming over saturated like many before it.
This is just a simple and fun 2D platformer....period. If you miss the old days when platformers were just basic, cut and dry, fun to play games then this one is for you. Good control for a 2D platformer, lots of hidden items to discover, fun and colorful graphics, an overall end goal to achieve and a 100% completion goal that is clear to achieve without being obscure or off the wall. This game really surprised me. Give it a shot.
A very odd world to explore. Looks really good in docked mode. Fun adventure. If you are on the fence because the screen shots look a little "out there," give it go. You might just get a good surprised.
Ignore the complainer (posting multiple reviews under different names btw and should be banned) whining about the game not being "kid friendly". Not sure where it was ever claimed to be "kid friendly". Nothing like just looking at a few screen shots and making an assumption, I suppose. Game is pretty solid. Not mind blowing, but worth a try. Good puzzles, decent adventure, cool map building concept.
One of the very best narrative adventure games you could invest in. In a genre that is becoming more and more crowded with sub-par efforts, this is a true gem. I give it a solid 9 in reality but scored it a ten on here to help offset the reviews of ignorant blowhards that love to post reviews without have any fact-based intelligence to back their moronic opinion (looking right at you, Nintendist)
Held out for a long time on this game. Caught it on sale. This game is way overrated. Graphics are great. Minimal challenge. Controls are terrible. A lot of trial and error. Load times after each death are up there with the worst I have ever seen. It has some alright fun factor, but not near enough to make you want to complete the whole game.
If you loved Earthbound, you will at the very least like, if not become totally consumed by, this game, it's story, and it's characters. Yet another true indie treasure.
Overall, a pretty captivating package. Some stutters and bumps in the road, but nothing to get up in arms over. Plays much better in docked mode than handheld. Fairly interesting story lines across all main characters. Replay value is pretty high.
It is a plain, simple, yet fun Mickey Mouse game that is actually half way decent. Easy for both kids and adults to enjoy even though the difficulty isn't very high. Enjoy a game with Mickey that isn't long and drawn out by a battle system or isn't demoralizing you because of poor controls or camera angles.
If you liked the first LEGO Batman game, then don't hesitate to get this one. It expands and improves on almost every aspect. Huge hub world, more characters, and voices. This game is just plain fun and it looks and sounds fantastic.
Cute and fun game. Great multi-player game to enjoy with your kids. Graphics are crisp and clean and the story is engaging enough to make you want to finish the enitre campaign.
Great collection of Kirby's finest games. A must have if you are a Kirby fan! Great introduction to Kirby for all younger gamers. Really not a bad game in this collection and the bonus content is top notch.
Good, solid, old-school platformer. Elements of platforming, side-questing, and collecting. Well balanced. A fun weekend adventure throught the jungle.
