This has got to be one of the worst movies I think I've ever seen. That being said, I watched it with some friends and we made it into a YTP. 8/10 YTP movie, 2/10 normal movie. Not sure how else to describe it.
This new entry into the Avatar franchise fails to do anything correctly except look nice. Avatar 3 utilizes the same revolving-door plot as its prequel film, Avatar 2, in which the entire movie is a three hour long game of cat and mouse. Characters randomly grow a conscious out of seemingly nowhere, and by the end of the film, every single character has adopted a belief opposite to one which they held at the beginning of the movie. Not only does this movie lack any narrative excitement, it also forgets that emotional moments are only impactful when applied correctly. Avatar 3 attempts to make every single second jammed full of sad stories, heavy hearts, and tear jerking scenes. This ends up making none of those scenes feel impactful because there is no room for the viewer to stop and rest before some new visual spectacle or sub-par, surface-level drama is thrown at them. The Avatar franchise has never been noted for the tactical savvy of its human characters. This film, however, takes human strategic ineptitude to an utterly ridiculous level. In Avatar 3, humanity is not only seemingly unable to learn about their foes, but also completely unable to learn from its past mistakes, battles, and experiences. The human antagonists of this movie are comically incapable of anything competent. While some new additions, such as the fiery Mangkwan tribe, are interesting and a pleasure to watch, the majority of this movie is wholly devoid of worthwhile contributions. Avatar: Fire and Ash cannot decide what it wants to be, and in doing so, presents the most visually stunning dumpster fire of 2025
The definition of wasted potential. The film starts with a blisteringly interesting premise that it fails to explore in any interesting way. The second and third acts are tedious at best. Add a not-so-subtle commentary on modern times, and the film loses all hope of being worth your time. Disappointing.
There are very few movies that achieve maximum entertainment, character development, and plot all at once. This movie is NOT one of them. Made me pull my hair out.
Road House suffers from several falloff syndrome. The first half is enjoyable and the environment of the film is enticing. The second and third acts progressively seem to stray from the charismatic draw the film initially presents. Fun to begin but disappointed to finish.
There is nothing positive to say about this movie. It is one of the worst pieces of media available for public consumption to date. Death row inmates would rather face the chair than watch this garbage. Terrible.
