Great game. Takes all the best stuff from the Uncharted series and perfected them in the 4th installment. Game blends well between action and cutscenes. The sound effect for the guns are actually much better (couldn't stand the last 3) now. U4 is "THE" high-end quality movie-game that will be a challenge to all developers to beat, and I don't think any game can do that for years to come. Pacing is great; the story starts off slow because it needs to introduce several characters that was in Nate's past but never mentioned in the previous 3 games (Rafe, Sam, Nadine), to make them coherent to the plot, and right after that the game takes off. Animation is gorgeous, facial expression is amazing, and all the characters are love-able (villains included). Some tracks in the game are quality orchestration, but for the most part the rest are not memorable. Gameplay is the typical Uncharted series plus grappling hook but with better animation, so don't expect great innovation in that department. I like the darker tone of this game because it really grounds Nathan Drake and also concludes his saga (unfortunately). A must buy for PS4 gamers.
I'm very mad at this game's cash grab. Everything requires money to progress. Your build from 1yr is irrelevent. Bungie is nerfing/blocking a lot of things and forces you to pay to progress. The story still goes no where. This is very unfortunate because the game is actually REALLY FUN, GORGEOUS, and GREAT MUSIC which makes it deserve 8-9, but with the way Bungie is microtransacting progression this falls down to a 2. This game is meant for ppl with money or is addicted to it like crack. I am retiring from this game. I'll probably come back 8yrs later when the game is close to complete to finish the story and see if the pricing is lowered.
This series is perhaps my favorite movie-game from Telltale. Its quirky. Its dark. Its funny. Despite the game has 1 ending, you get to choose how your behavior is with Rhys and Fionna. The casts are lovable. Vaughn is just a badass accountant. The only thing disappointing about this movie game is the romance and I hope this gets addressed if Season 2 is ever made.
This could've been a great game but its flawed in so many ways. -The story is unfortunately no where as compelling as Origin. The main character's dialogues are rather weak. What happened to the Grey Wardens? Besides Black Wall, the Grey Wardens are just not there, and Black Wall is not all that interesting to say the least. I just didn't like how the main character accidentally gets his power and calls it done. Origin built the world with Grey Wardens being the champions needed to defeat the Blight, but now they are totally irrelevant in the series. -The gameplay has improved greatly over DA:II but for some unknown reason the AI hierarchy system from Origin was removed. The game makes for flashy play on normal mode, but when it comes to the highest difficulty your AI teammates are constant liability that always waste away potions and dies in a heartbeat against multiple enemies. I do enjoy the grinding but against enemies from the rift the AIs just don't really stand a chance which leads to frustrating do-overs again and again. -For some odd reason the elves just look uglier and uglier in each installment. What is even more odd is Dorian is the best looking guy, Leliana and Morrigan looks prettier than Origin while majority of the casts are average to not attractive at all. Its like high quality ugly. The funny thing is that there's actually quite a few interesting characters. Dorian and Cole is two of them. I also find Sera and Solas interesting as well but elves are just ugly to look at. -Outside of fighting, the animation/facial expression can be rather stiff on many occasions, making the conversation rather awkward to look at. The game's world is beautiful... but there's just so many things wrong with this game that just adds up.
Bad game. Bioware took everything I loved about DA:O,and destroyed them in DA2. Stiff, locked, and awkward hack and slash really messed up DA2 for me. The characters in DA2 is no where as interesting and heartfelt like Origin. What happened to the many choices I can pick? Why am I getting a choice wheel? This is not f'n Mass Effect. Also, Tons of fetching/killing quests that will have you backtracking the same map over and over and over again. DA2 and ME3 really dropped my confidence in Bioware's game quality.
Hate ME3 with a passion. I swallowed ME2 because the non-existing storyline was compensated by great characters (Mordin, Garrus, Thane, Samara, Illusive Man). All the major characters in ME2 are irrelevant to ME3, because all but one becomes brief, un-join-able NPCs and their deaths are inconsequential to the story. While Tali returns as playable, her role is moot in the storyline. What is worst is that all the new team members are bland. The Collector story from ME2 is pointless other than vaguely explaining indoctrination and introducing the Illusive Man, who goes from a major protagonist to antagonist in ME2 to a side character in ME3. He even went from a racist to a racist who turn himself to another race. Ironic? Bioware ripped out the great character developments in ME3 and left us with a bad story. "Hey guys! I found something that looks like a blueprint to something. It might be a weapon but we don't know. This blueprint is from a race that was wiped out by the very entities threatening us, so we should gamble and put the entire galaxy's resource into building it!." WORST PREMISE EVER! The details of the device should have been placed before the making than after the making of the device!!! What the hell was Shepard doing for the past 6months or a year between ME2 and ME3? I can keep going like the story of IT, But all the other bullcrap can be viewed in bioware's social forum. Bioware you disappoint me. Time for me to go back to Bethesda.
