Insurgency

User ScoreTriasadi

Insurgency is a tactical shooting game that runs on the Source Engine, so the graphic is very similar to CS:GO. When you first play, you will die a lot. But when you get the hang of it, it's quite simple. There is no ammo counter, mini map, and also no crosshair. Hip firing is very unreliable, so you will use iron sights most of the time. And there is no kill feed too, some servers have this, but most don't, so you won't know who and from where you've been shot. The HUD only displays the objectives, team respawns, and number of magazines. If you aren't wearing armor, most guns will kill you in a few shots, so you have to be careful. There are roles in Insurgency and all of them has unique weapons. Instead of buying weapons, we can choose weapons and put extensions on them depending on your weapon points and role. Sometimes, when playing in team insurgents, some players will role play a little bit too hard. Most of the people I've played with are quite friendly and will work together. Though there is a lack of servers and a minor technical problem with the game. Every time I try to close Insurgency in my computer, I have to use the task manager because when I press quit, the game freezes. But it doesn't interfere with the gameplay. In summary, Insurgency is a unique tactical shooter that relies on teamwork and tactics. I really recommend this game.

I bought Terraria a year ago, I haven't played it much until now. Terraria is an awesome game. There are so many things to do in Terraria, like exploring the underground, fight enemies in the dungeon, building houses for the NPCs, fishing, etc. The bosses in Terraria are quite challenging, but when you have the proper equipment, it will be very easy to defeat them. You can play alone or play with friends in Terraria. Since the 1.3 update you can play with your Steam friends very easily. I recommend playing Terraria with a friend because fighting bosses will be easier. If you get the hang of it and would like some challenge, Terraria offers an Expert mode where the bosses will have more HP and do more damage. There are events that will happen randomly in Terraria where many monsters will try to attack you in your base which is very annoying most of the time. There are so many items in Terraria, and you can craft so many things, like furniture, weapons, armor, potions, etc. You can build your house with almost anything. There are many weapons in the game, not just swords and bows. There are guns, rocket launchers, boomerangs, yo-yos, magical staffs, spell books, lasers and more. The achievements in Terraria are fairly easy to complete. The Steam Cloud feature is very neat as I wouldn't be worried to lose my progress. Even though the graphics look outdated, the gameplay is truly amazing. I would really recommend Terraria.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City

The characters are great, EFLC has new features like parachuting, motorcycle racing, gang wars and new weapons, vehicles and places to visit like nightclubs. The game is a great complement to the GTA IV story. Though it runs on Game for Windows Live which is very annoying and quite difficult to setup. The game couldn't run on Windows 8.1 unless you tweak it, but it could run normally on Windows 7.

I really enjoy the game. Great story and gameplay. The physics are amazingly realistic and revolutionary at the time. For a game that was released almost 7 years ago, the graphics withstands the test of time. The graphics are still relevant to this day. Though the PC version has technical issues, I tried this game in Windows 8.1 and it couldn't run, but it works in Windows 7. GTA IV is poorly optimized for PC. And then there's Games for Windows Live. The game 10/10, the PC version 7/10.

Saints Row: The Third

Saints Row: The Third is hilarious. The story and the missions are crazy and over the top. The soundtracks are also great. The vehicles are great and the customization is excellent. The character customization is also great. Some of the characters are voiced by famous people like Hulk Hogan, Sasha Grey, etc. The weapon upgrade system is what I don't like. I accidentally upgraded my SMG to shoot fire and when I shoot it at someone they caught on fire which is annoying because when you're in a hurry and run close to the enemy you shoot, you'll be caught on fire too. I wish they had some way to downgrade weapons or an option to remove the special ability for weapons. Overall Saints Row: The Third is a fun and funny game with may things to do.

Saints Row IV

Saints Row IV continues the story from Saints Row: The Third where you rescue America from a nuclear missile launched by the antagonist from Saints Row: The Third Cyrus Temple, the former STAG leader, who has gone insane and is obsessed with killing the Saints. After killing Cyrus and saving America from the missile hitting Washington, after that you'll become the President of the United States. Saints Row IV is different from its predecessor because in Saints Row IV your character will have cool super powers like freeze blast, telekenesis, super stomp, etc. In Saints Row IV cars are pretty much useless because you'll most likely be using super jump and super sprint to travel. But you can still cuztomize them the way you like. The character customization is excellent, you can customize almost anything. The side actvivities are very fun, I really like Prof. Genki's Mind Over Murder because it's fun and challenging. The game has many refrences to other games. The weapons are funny and unique like the dubstep gun and the blackhole gun. Collecting the clusters are very fun too. Overall Saints Row IV is a very enjoyable game.

BioShock 2
9
User ScoreTriasadi

Bioshock 2 takes place 8 years after the first Bioshock where you play as Subject Delta, a Big Daddy that was revived. This game offers more content than the first Bioshock because you will play with weapons and plasmids at a time. The gameplay is more brutal than the first Bioshock. And like the first game, you can upgrade your character, weapon, and plasmids. The game may crash once in a while eventhough you have a good spec so be sure to save as often as you can. Bioshock 2 is a worthy sequel to the first Bioshock. The story is very complex as the first Bioshock. I recommend to play the first game before playing Bioshock 2.

1960, you play as Jack. An only survivor of a plane crash in the middle of an Atlantic Ocean where he finds lighthouse that leads him to Rapture, an underwater city created by Andrew Ryan, a man with a vision to create a utopia where people aren't restrected to government, religion, and morality. But rapture is in a civil war caused by a rebelion group lead by Atlas. Bioshock is an FPS game where you use weapons and superpowers. You can also upgrade your weapons, superpowers, and your character throughout the game. The story is very complex as you will mostly learn them via audio recordings of peoples in Rapture that you'll find throughout the game. The atmosphere is very unique.

May 19, 2015
Bioshock Infinite is the third Bioshock title and takes place in 1912 where you play as Booker DeWitt an investigator that is sent to find a girl named Elizabeth in a floating city called Columbia to erase his debt. The game play is a little weaker than the first two games as you can only use two weapons at a time. The weapons are a little bit boring. The atmosphere in Infinite is very different than the first two games as it takes place in a city in the sky. You don't have to play the first two games to understand Infinite. The story is quite confusing and the ending is mind-blowing. The game is quite different from it's predecessors.

I've done much research on the game before I purchased it because it was on sale, It's quite a good game. Most of the reviews here are irrelevant since Maxis had fixed the server problems and added a single player mode for SimCity. The game is very fun but every city I made usually last for only about a day or two because most people in the region has either stopped playing or abandon their city. A better communication system should be added. And the biggest weakness in the game is the city sizes. The size of a city in SimCity is very small and square. It doesn't let me have much space for me to expand my city. The concept for a multiplayer city builder sounds great, but in reality, not everyone is a top-notch city planner. So playing with other people maybe enjoyable. So far I've been playing for about 20-30hrs, and I really enjoyed the game. I recommend buying it when it's on sale.

Stronghold: Crusader

Stronghold Crusader is my favourite RTS game. I first played it since 7 years ago and bought the steam version recently. It was one of the best and most addicting game I played back then. The game is quite simple when you get the hang of it. Stronghold Crusader mixes castle building, RTS, and resource management. The soundtrack fits the theme very well. The campaign will teach you most of the things from resource gathering, building and defending your castle, to siegeing the enemy and defending your castle. The AI for Stronghold Crusader is excellent, different AI lords will have different strategies and difficulties. Each AI has different castle builds and different troop choice. You can choose using Arab or European troops or even all together. The gameplay is still great till this day, event though the game was from 2001. And I really like the HD addiction of the game, the max resolution used to be 1024x768 and after the HD addition you can play with almost any resolution. Stronghold Crusader is a must have for RTS players, overall 10/10.

Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword is a very fun game and addictive game too. I really like the use of firearms in this sequel. And the single player game is great. The game's historical setting is very realistic. There are many features that I like from this sequel. But there are many bugs that are very annoying. And there isn't much plot in the game. I really hope TaleWorlds will fix this bug.

Stronghold Kingdoms has a very addictive and fun gameplay. The help and support always respond whenever there is a problem. I don't think that Stronghold Kingdoms is a pay-to-win game at all. This game tests our efficiency, strategy, and timing. One of the best free-to-play games I've ever played. Though there is also some technical problems sometimes. Overall, Stronghold Kingdoms is a great game and certainly deserves all the honor.
