pros: Its an improvement. The effort with the music in certain cutscenes was cool. Weapon skill tree idea was good and the new skill tree in general so much better. New prone move is a good addition. New base developement and customization is great. Bring back sending assassins on missions like in brotherhood. Story is fine. Not that confusing with the time jumps but I feel like the beginning could've been more linnear in terms of in-game time between story points. cons: quest map ****, hard to decipher, hard to follow, getting new side quests also weird. very missable. Map is empty. there's nothing to do when going from main story quests across towns and cities. make map smaller then. massive framerate drops specifically on the coast of Sakai. Parry and dodge is clunky, needs tightening, and have a dodge and a roll option.

Fun concept but the amount of lost time going over the quest log and dialogue menus is a chore.

Combat is fun and its not an ugly game, but after playing Pillars of Eternity, they are capable of a much more interesting story and dialogue. Also wtf happened to dialogue checks. You already had the concept down. Now conversations are boring, you don't learn anything and there's no branching narratives. I'd have settled for a smaller world with more in it. And more dungeons. And varied dungeons. The problem with the setting is you're stuck with the same ancient architecture.

For a AA game, really good. Combat is a little janky and gameplay is repetitive with most of the side quests basically being fetch quests but the story is interesting and the different game areas differ enough to keep things visually interesting. OST is also good. NPC pathing is a also janky and I would've loved for there to be more interaction with the open world.

Story is fine. Set dressing, even with graphical upgrades doesn't have the same gravitas as previous Batman games. Having character progression split between four protagonists shows the developers limits as storytellers. Some of the line delivery is poor and the voice chosen for Batgirl is an odd choice. Gameplay ****. Its repetitive. The combat is bad, Auto-lock terrible. No manual enemy lock, even though you have range weapons which is a weird choice. Considering you had the perfect formula for enjoyable combat, and what you did was simplify it and make it worse is baffling. No counter, which means your just dodging the entire time and different moves make no difference. Graphics are last gen even though they didn't plan to release it on PS4. Just an incredibly poor iteration of a beloved series.

The plot is excellent and there is so many aspects of this game that is great and elaborate, from the speech to brewing potions. But when you have a poorly designed system of battle for PC that is then un-optimized for PS4, you end up with one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I've ever had and nothing exemplifies this more than the quest 'Baptism by Fire' because it presents every possible issue you will face in-game. You have the ability to lock on to opponents, but this is made moot because you will "soft" lock onto opponents anyway and it will lock you onto opps across the battle, not the nearest enemy, teleporting you while you get hit by every other enemy near you. You can only shift the soft lock by flicking R3, but because that is also your directional aim for combat, it will not register. This coupled with frame rate issues, animations that clip through your first person camera make the quest difficult to get through without taking damage (there are also archers placed on an unreachable wall that will lure your comrades' AI, leaving you to fight seven enemies by yourself.) Then, if you are able to survive, you get put in a boss fight that aggros immediately, making it impossible to heal. All in all, if it wasn't for the other aspects of this game, I would've quit it ages ago. I honestly can't believe its in the state that it is in. You can say "get good" but there is only so much polishing a dog turd can do.

I'm comparing this to other RPGs based off tabletopgames, like Pillars of Eternity and Buldar's Gate. While its in depth game mechanics and long and attentive story is something to applaud; the way Paizo chooses to implement a tabletop system into a video game borders will fill your screen with pop up menu after pop up menu. If you have no or intermediate experience with playing DnD, this game will feel like getting directions in a different language. What makes DnD go from convoluted information dumps to an enjoyable experience is a Dungeon Master. There is no dungeon master here to help you. Most of the game's trophies are locked behind core difficulty. No one would recommend playing core difficulty on your first playthrough, because of 1) how pedantic the combat system is and 2) how convoluted the information you are given is. You may go looking for a walkthrough to help, but considering how janky the flagging system is in this game, you might as well free ball it. Several conversations didn't flag for my playthrough and the solution was reloading older saves over and over and maybe it might jostle something loose. As someone who played Pillars of Eternity 2 on PS4, Ive probably seen the worst port job yet. WOTR doesn't have nearly as bad loading screens and game crashes - and yet I still enjoyed POE 2 more, because the port was the problem, the actual gameplay mechanics and dialogue flagging worked. That is not the case of WOTR.

Pretty good. Graphics still hold up about a decade later. The maps are pretty varied which is necessary because the gameplay is repetitive. Its a good story. I would've liked more stealth options and pathways on the map but its a FPS at the end of the day with lite stealth mechanics so I'll take it. My only real issue was some shotty hit boxes and the main story weapon being mostly unusable and still pretty unusable in the late game bc of its recharge mechanic, even though you can get a SPOILER -hidden upgrade for it to help the recharge. Barely used the weapon.

Story is weird and pretty empty. The controls are clunky, slow and actively works against intuitive movements. I'm amazed at some of the critic reviews because they must've been on something. This game plays like a barely AA MMORPG with a souls-like stamina bar. A combination I wouldn't even wish on Elon Musk.

I've played all the games in the series, my favourite is 3. For context, played this a year after release so all the bugs have been addressed so its a completely different game than at launch. I liked the color, fun and clownish additions, after a pretty oppressive farcry5. I liked that it had third person cutscenes and a return to a fleshed out voiced protagonist over the create-a-facelessbeing in the last installment. Gameplay was good and varied, but the guerilla operations would've been better if they took a page out of New Dawn's operations where you travel to new small maps and conduct a mission. The story was good, I was invested and Espisito could make a pile of **** sing. Weapon customization could've been a little more indepth and varied but I like the cosmetic stuff. PLEASE bring back the fauna difficulty of Far Cry 3, it was perfect.

I dragged myself through this brokenass buggy port on PS4 so when I say 8/10, I mean it. This game was bomb. Voice acting was so good. The story was good. The multiple branching narratives and ways to approach quests, even side quests will ruin AAA bs like Todd Howard's brainchildren for me 4ever. Very little hand holding, they just kinda throw you in and say "float". Turn-based mechanics, dialogue options, an entire ship combat system. Difficulty scaling and God Challenges are present. I think the only lacking parts are the socializing with your party members. There wasn't enough interaction there, the companion quests were very short and if you get the DLC, you have to complete it during the main storyline or reload a save, there is no gameplay after the end of the main quest.
