Insanely egregious and unprecedented levels of greed from 2k in regards to monetization that overrules whatever is good. This is just 2k25 with a fortnite-esque battlepass. Avoid at all costs!!
WWE games have been getting ever so slightly better since the disaster that was 2k15, but this is 1 step forward and 300 steps back. The graphics are worse than 2k15’s, my career is a cringe fest with countless bugs and crashes, universe is practically the same as 2k19, the game wasn’t playable on New Years and many many more. The only reason this ain’t a 1 is because of 2k originals, the saving grace of this game. Visual concepts had a good few years to develop this and somehow f’ed it up more than Yukes ever did (they weren’t in charge of 2k18 for the switch and didn’t have much input). If you want a WWE game, buy 2k19 instead. That’s fun
If I’d spent more than £20 for this, it’d definitely be lower, but I managed to pick the deluxe edition up for £18 and it’s not great. One on one, one on two and triple threat matches run perfectly fine, but anything more than that is abysmal. Entrances are a nightmare, mycareer is unplayable, audio quality is significantly worse than the console counterparts, crashes happen frequently and the graphics are comparable to WWE 2k14. We’ve seen the switch do better with doom and Skyrim, how can’t this run fine. I’d like a WWE 2k21 on the switch but if it’s anything like WWE 2K20 I’ll pass
