this game has been on my radar for a few years, but damn this is probably my game of the year. this is a monumental achievement in game development, like you'll be surprised at how well realized each game is, and there's 50! i am a very big spelunky 2 fan, and this exceeds my expectations. i love the meta story about uncovering this company's track record of games, seeing how they build on the last. not to sleep on the "older" games in the collection, as magic garden is in my top 3. theres a little something for everyone here, as long as you can keep up with the unforgiving nature of most of these games. i love how figuring stuff out is such an integral aspect. side note, definitely mind the very first game, it's clunky to high hell as it's meant to be their first game.

omori is a very story based rpg maker game. it takes full advantage of what it is given to tell a story thats deeply personal and keeps you engaged up until an unforgettable climax. I recommend for anyone who wants a good story that doesn't hold back its themes. maybe ill give it a 9 for sometimes relying on cheap shock value jumpscares, but at its core it is real great.

the ideal way to play mk8 deluxe is probably on a trip, like on a plane or bus. this was actually my first experience with this game, while i had the wii u mk8, i was overwhelmed with how good this experience was. but at the day it is still mario kart 8, im not good or bad at it, but it is reliably fun to play. i prefer smash, tho.

im not sure if i can give this anything higher than an 8, which is fine, not everything has to be a 10, and an 8 is still really positive. its just that 9 and 10 is reserved for my personal favorites, so ill give it the next best. i grew up with smash, first brawl briefly, then smash 4 for a few years when i really got into smash. ultimate is, speaking objectively, probably perfect. there is so much jank in brawl and smash 4 that they thankfully looked at and gave their all to make a perfect smash game. atm i never play this game more than a couple of times per year, but i love watching the coinbox tournaments.

extremely simple and polished indie game. perfect for friends on the couch, they learn it and master it in half an hour, the nights that towerfall really clicks are genuinely top 3 video game experiences. everyone feels on top of the world when they play this, it shows that competitive games like this dont have to be complex to work.

clash royale sure is a game. i just am not very good at it, and the strategy isnt for me. its fun tho so 5/10

since this game is about to shut down...tomorrow?! ill talk about mm1 briefly. it's a great game and im so glad it exists. giving fans the creativity to make games for everyone is great. amongst the piles of **** are some great levels to look back on. i never created them and i never felt like i needed to with how whole the game felt just playing the massive catalogue of levels.

this game is good. i liked the shrines. i dont have a whole lot to say, it honestly wasn't that memorable, but i ate it up and loved it, 8/10 but i will not be playing TOTK any time soon.

since i was much younger when i played galaxy/galaxy 2, will not rate that. I do feel confident in saying that odyssey is a great experience all around, and deserves all the praise it gets. by now i've sold it to gamestop tho. 8/10 i recommend.

play shovel knight if you haven't. such a good experience, it's fair except for instant death from falling in pits, it happens to the best of us.i have yet to play the plague knight and king knight campaigns, but i still think its beyond impressive how they packed so much game into this game. 9/10, play it.

helltaker is great. a good puzzle game with good post game content, although my goldfish brain did have to use a walkthrough for some of it. my favorite part was the justice section, 7/10

7 shouldnt be mixed or average, but whatever. spelunky 1 is good, and if you want to obsess over spelunky 2 without worrying about the difficultly, then get good at spelunky hd instead. a lot of it still holds up gameplay wise, and you can see what people liked so much about it when it came out.

supposed to be a switch review but my phone doesnt want to work ig. played it to death during 2021 i think. really great game all around, get this one or pack 3 if you want to get a jackbox game for the first time. pretty much all the games in this pack should scratch that itch for whatever you're looking for.

it gets one more point than portal 1 for being better all around. it was strange and unintuitive to look for a white wall far away for forever to progress, but other than that, my favorite standout part was the end of the game. 8/10 even more perfect for cracking out in a weekend and never play again.

enter the gungeon is a great game, i honestly wish the devs never got sick of it, because i was obsessed with this game when I played it. that period was so exciting, and is the feeling i want to get more of in games, i just wish i started playing when it was still being updated, curse you exit the gungeon!

Hades is too good, man. The art especially is incredible. It doesn't have the longevity of other roguelikes i've played, but it is still a treat. will have to play this more to get the true ending.

perfect video game, also has good replay value and opportunity for speedrunning. What can I say that hasn't already been said? it's a masterpiece.

Minecraft is such a good game. Will always be my old reliable, and I love playing with friends, and I have been for like 8 years now. It feels freeing to play, idk!

just finished this game an hour ago, it is very cute and fun to play. the highlight for me is the art quality and consistency, i love the sprites used, the attack visuals, and backgrounds especially. I did get stuck 2 times and had to use a walk through, but im a dirt eating homunculus with no attention span, so this makes since.

This is a solid roguelike. It is very satisfying to make builds, but i haven't gotten to a game breaking point yet. the bosses are okay, but leave much to be desired. they clearly put a lot of effort into it, 8/10
