1. Gameplay ReviewFirst off, the environmental puzzles. They are genuinely engaging and they will make you think. The game has this really bold approach where it refuses to hold your hand. There’s a noticeable lack of obvious hints or UI markers telling you exactly where to go or what to do next. Honestly? I loved that. It forces you to actually pay attention to your surroundings. You have to be observant and meticulous to figure out how to progress, and if you’re a fan **** challenge, you're going to appreciate this design choice. But the real magic here is the companion mechanic. The character development goes way beyond typical video game progression. You’re not grinding for XP or upgrading your gear; instead, you’re watching a natural, organic relationship unfold. Early in the game, the fawn is incredibly vulnerable. Your entire focus is on protecting it, meaning you constantly have to factor in your little companion's limitations when navigating obstacles. It creates a feeling of genuine dependency, this isn't just a generic AI following you around. Then, as the deer grows up, the whole dynamic shifts. Puzzles that used to require careful, solo navigation slowly turn into team-based challenges. The adult deer becomes a powerhouse, it can reach higher platforms, smash through barriers, and honestly, just provide this sense of emotional support during the rougher sequences. It feels incredibly rewarding to see that growth reflected directly in the gameplay. Gameplay Score: 8 / 10. 2. Story Review Deer & Boy is a masterclass in visual storytelling. Like I mentioned earlier, there is no dialogue. No text logs, no spoken exposition. It relies entirely on the evolving friendship between these two vulnerable beings to carry the emotional weight of the game. What really struck me is how this game has such broad generational appeal. If a younger kid plays this, they’re going to see a really touching, surface-level story about a boy and his animal friend. But for older players, there are so many deeper layers here. It tackles heavy themes like healing from trauma, learning to trust again, and finding your own courage through the presence of someone else. Story Score: 8 / 10. 3. Performance Review For the most part, the game runs beautifully. The frame rate is stable, and it feels smooth during the platforming sections. However, I have to knock off a few points because of the bugs. There were several frustrating moments where my character just got completely stuck in the environment geometry, unable to move anywhere. When a game does such a good job of immersing you in its world, getting soft-locked like that is a massive immersion breaker. Hopefully, the devs can patch that up soon. Performance Score: 7 / 10. 4. Visual & Audio Review The sound design and the musical score are phenomenal, perfectly swelling and fading to match the mood of a scene. But the art direction is really the star of the show. It has this gorgeous, hand-drawn aesthetic that feels like you’re playing a classic animated film. Every single frame feels meticulously crafted to convey a specific atmosphere. Because there’s no dialogue, the animation has to do a lot of the heavy lifting, and it absolutely nails it. You can see the personality of both characters just in how they move. The deer evolves from taking these hesitant, shaky steps to confident, powerful leaps. Meanwhile, the boy’s posture slowly changes over the course of the game, mirroring his growing self-assurance and his emotional recovery. Even the environment tells a story. The landscapes shift from this dark, threatening wilderness to calming, bright sanctuaries, directly reflecting the inner journey of the characters. The weather, the lighting changes, the transitions between seasons, it all visually reinforces the emotional beats of the story while keeping your eyes glued to the screen. Visual & Audio Score: 8 / 10. 5. Conclusion So, wrapping things up. Deer & Boy offers a very distinct take on the platformer genre. It actively chooses to prioritize an emotional connection over crazy mechanical complexity. By focusing on wordless storytelling and the beautiful evolution of your companion, it creates an adventure that resonates no matter how old you are. It’s a perfect example of how innovative, thoughtful design can turn simple mechanics into a deeply moving interactive experience. Overall Score: 8 / 10.

1. GAMEPLAY REVIEW In this section the focus is on the gameplay mechanics, it provides the elements that are standard for a title in the James Bond series, including a protagonist with a strong presence and a narrative that generates interest. To complete objectives, the player uses specialized electronic and mechanical tools. But the stealth systems are particularly prominent, those mechanics share many structural attributes with the Hitman series, which serves the needs of players who prefer strategic movement. At the beginning of development, there was a concern that the developers would only change the appearance of the Agent 47 character. By choosing a different path, however, the studio created a product that is more distinctive and focuses more on the motivations of the characters. As for the combat design, it functions through a system that allows for various methods of completion. If a player prefers to move without being seen, they use the shadows, the surroundings and false clothing. And if a player chooses to abandon secrecy, the system allows for forceful and audible neutralizations. With this design the player decides the specific manner in which they finish a task. For many players the bluffing system is a significant addition. It is possible to use dialogue to escape a situation where enemies are suspicious. By using those verbal interactions, the player influences enemies to enter secure zones or moves them into positions where they are vulnerable to a physical strike. Then again the game is not without faults, if there is a primary criticism of the experience, it is the sections involving vehicles. The operation of the cars is slow and repetitive. It does not provide the high level of excitement that is common during a James Bond vehicle pursuit. GAMEPLAY SCORE: 8.5 / 10. 2. STORY REVIEW It is positive that the story does not function as a low quality product that depends on memories of previous movies. By doing the necessary work, IO Interactive provides an original story about the character when he is young. As a person who likes the films, I saw that the developers managed the character of Bond well. He displays a specific type of male presence that is similar to the versions played by Daniel Craig besides Pierce Brosnan. He is likeable but also poses a threat to others. With this writing, the game shows that he is susceptible to harm while he remains calm and composed. Because of this approach, the events in the story affect him in a private way. When the game ends, the plot is interesting enough that a player might feel a sense of sadness because the experience is over. For many there is a desire for more chapters to be available to play. STORY SCORE: 8 / 10. 3. PERFORMANCE REVIEW For the majority of the time, First Light operates without significant errors. It is common for the motion to be fluid and the number of frames displayed per second remained consistent during the period of play. However, it definitely needs a few patches. In some sessions the program stopped responding entirely, which made it necessary to return to the system menu and initiate the game again. When the display contains many moving elements like explosions or large numbers of opponents, the frames per second are lower than usual, those events are not frequent enough to prevent progress and the system creates save points often so that players do not lose much progress. On the whole the game is stable. PERFORMANCE SCORE: 8 / 10. 5. GRAPHICS & VISUALS REVIEW On the subject of the visual presentation, the game contains high quality graphics. As traveling across the world is a significant element of the James Bond genre, First Light represents this accurately. To play the game involves moving between locations that are visually impressive and the team that created the environment art produced high quality work. The views are wide and detailed. When missions occur at night, the lighting mimics the way light behaves in the real world. Because the graphics are detailed, the experience is more intense for the player. It is pleasant to explore the levels because they have many small details. GRAPHICS & VISUALS SCORE: 8.5 / 10. OVERALL SCORE 8.5 / 10.

1. GAMEPLAY REVIEW Honestly, the absolute best part of Voidling Bound is the sheer joy of discovery. The system for finding, evolving, and literally engineering new bio-creatures is incredibly addictive. I found myself losing track of time just experimenting with gene-splicing, unlocking new evolutionary paths, and hunting for specific creature parts. It scratches that creative itch perfectly. However, once you leave the lab and touch down on a planet, the cracks start to show. The combat is a third-person shooter, but the balance feels a bit uneven, and the actual gunplay, or rather, creature-play, can feel a bit too simplistic after a while. To make matters worse, the environment design frequently fights against you. During chaotic skirmishes, the camera loves to get trapped behind dense leaves or jagged rock formations, completely blocking your view. It’s incredibly frustrating to take a massive hit just because a stray bush blinded you. And if you’re playing on a controller like I did? Good luck. The target tracking is fast and twitchy, making precision aiming feel like a chore. If you're planning to pick this up, do yourself a favor and stick to a mouse and keyboard for that much-needed accuracy. Eventually, the initial magic wears off a bit because the mission structure becomes heavily repetitive. You fly in, do essentially the same routine, and fly out. It’s fun, don't get me wrong, but it feels like the gameplay loop hits a ceiling earlier than it should. GAMEPLAY SCORE: 7.5 / 10. 2. STORY REVIEW Story-wise, Voidling Bound doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. It gives you a clear motive, save the galaxy, and keeps it at that. While the lore behind the Voidlings and the corruption is neat, the narrative definitely takes a backseat to the mechanics. It’s a serviceable framework to justify why you’re mutating alien dogs to fight cosmic horrors, but don’t expect a deep, emotional sci-fi epic here. STORY SCORE: 6 / 10. 3. PERFORMANCE REVIEW On the technical side of things, I was pleasantly surprised. The game runs like a charm. Even when the screen got absolutely cluttered with hordes of enemies, projectile visual effects, and chaotic explosions, the frame rate stayed remarkably stable. No major stutters, no crashes, just a consistently smooth performance, which is crucial for a game that relies on quick reflexes. PERFORMANCE SCORE: 8 / 10. 4. VISUAL & AUDIO REVIEW Visually, the game has a lot of personality. The art direction is strong, distinct, and gives the planets a genuinely alien feel. But where the eyes are treated, the ears get a bit neglected. The soundtrack is hit-or-miss; during some of the most intense moments, the music feels bizarrely quiet or uninspired, leaving the world feeling a bit empty. What really hurts the immersion, though, is the total lack of voice acting. Reading through silent text boxes makes the interactions and dialogue feel flat and flavorless. A bit of vocal personality could have gone a long way here. VISUAL & AUDIO SCORE: 7 / 10. OVERALL SCORE 7 / 10.
