Helvetii8

I can't help but feel a little sad for people giving games like Helvetii average ratings. If you can't enjoy games that are so well put together, maybe you have just overgrown games altogether and should look to a different hobby. There isn't anything wrong with that at all. But there's definitely something wrong with clinging to a hobby you've outgrown. Helvetii is what I want from games. In an endless sea of games that offer a) either no challenge at all and give you a platinum trophy in 6 hours (insert vomit emoji here) and b) games that are so excruciating, that truly make you wonder whether the developer wanted to entertain you, or literally torture you, Helvetii strikes right in the middle. It doesn't require controls that you need to study like you're going to school for it; it respecs my time. On the other hand, it doesn't throw the player rewards after rewards without earning it either. There is quite some depth with the strategy on this game. Now by depth, I do not mean "complexity". These are two different notions my book. After your first 6 or 7 runs, you might be rushed into thinking it offers no strategy, but nothing could be further from the truth. I was pleasantly surprised how big an impact did some choices make . Do you buy that item before the boss fight or after? Do you agree to deepen the deity pacts for big drops on your Health bar or do you open a chest first? There's a hundred more choices like this that will affect your run, and I'm pretty sure these little details go unnoticed by most petite that play games. If you love to strategize your run,I can think of a million games that are inferior to Helvetii. Getting S ranks comes gradually with your effort on practicing the 3 characters strengths and weaknesses in battle. But that's the wonderful ingredient, the effort and your gradual improvement is not an insane amount of practice like a lot of developers seem to request from the player nowadays. Scoring S ranks feels satisfying and I love how the third character talks to her crow during battle. Very nice little touch that just put a smile on me. The visuals are absolutely stunning. I'll put it this way. I've played 5 modern games after Helvetii and they seem like an eyesore in comparison. Everything is super crisp with beautiful colors and contrast. And not the type of contrast that causes a lot of black crush effect on your TV, where you cannot see shadow details well. It won't blow your mind or anything. I'm not saying it's perfect. It's definitely a lot better than the average score. I often caught myself smiling while playing it. And there's nothing more I can ask from a game

The Last of Us Part II2

I feel terrible for the programmers and visual effects team on this project. Their insane talent and hard work ultimately went to waste You can sum this game ine one word: misandry Every male character here was either brutally tortured or brutally humiliated. I won't say anything about Joel, other than he would have used fake aliases. He would not introduce himself with his real name Let's talk about the other male figures: Jessie, the guy who loved Abbey (I forget his name at the moment), and even the sandwich-making "bigot". were all humiliated, portrayed as weak **** that wore skirts, while the girls wore the pants. Maria is the boss in Jackson. Did she kill a lot of infected in Part 1, and so earned the trust of people to lead Jackson? Nope. But she is born a woman, so she has definitely earned the leadership title. After all, why have Joel or Tommy lead the town. It's not like they did anything to protect the town (sarcasm)., plus, they are born with a ****. Can't have a white man be the leader in a Druckman game. That would be blasphemy. Druckman's boyfriend in real life: Anita Sarkisian would have never approved, and that would mean no brand new **** as a birthday present for Druckman from his boyfriend Sarkisian. Ahem, back to the game. Maria orders the big man to apologize, who by the way belongs in the kitchen making sandwiches for people he can't stand (see the double standards yet?) I personally didn't see what made him a hateful person! If there were indeed kids in the party, as the father of my children, I'd also want to say a few words to Gina. Gina could have taken Ellie outside or to the washroom, no one needs to see that, yes even if it was a hetero-sexual couple, regardless, a family friendly event is a family friendly event. This was no girls night out party in college. Jessie is portrayed as a weak idiot and so is Abbey's lover. TLOU2 = Misandry propaganda. This was a fantasy turned video game, filled with endless hatred towards one particular gender: men. A love letter from Druckman to Sarkisian, who clearly wants to see all men dead. Being born without a **** is an unforgivable crime in her psychotic world, and her girlfriend Druckman agrees. Last, but not least, while the gameplay is fine overall, endless collectibles **** the joy out of gaming. Part 1 had much, much better pacing, mainly because it wasn't a collectibles festival like Part 2. In conclusion: if every male character in this game were female, every one would have screamed "misogyny" and they wouldn't be wrong.
