Who hasn't been part of a forum, a fandom, or a gaming community? Taking us into the last days of an online console service, Videoverse delivers an incredibly relatable and emotional internet drama, all wrapped up in beautiful pixel art.
The sun is slowly being devoured by a black hole, so we have to look for another habitable planet and for that we handle this space telescope, scan the sky in search of stars, and using different real methods, such as transit or spectroscopy (simplified of course) we get the data to analyze, it is very good, although of course, for people who have a little interest or knowledge of astronomy.
BORE DOME is a NO-Game, about simply experiencing mundane and mediocre experiences, like queuing, saying good morning or sweeping a dirty floor, it doesn't try to be fun, although it can be with its absurd art style, I played it fairly quickly and without stopping too much, it lasted me 1 hour and a half and I left satisfied with its weirdness. It has a free demo so you can try it before buying.
Lovely visual novel with cooking puzzles, all its parts fit together perfectly, making it entertaining from beginning to end. A solid 10/10 and must-play experience.
A rotten and surreal game where we search for pearls while avoiding the music, with a variety of endings and roguelike touches. Good if you're looking for a different kind of horror game.
For a Vast Future is an exquisite retro RPG set in a world devastated by war, it has a gameboy aesthetic that gives a nostalgic touch, but the dystopian / futuristic story and the combat being based entirely on the use of items / ammunition gives this game a distinction that makes it feel fresh.
Maboroshi caravan is a game about caravans that free the souls of the dead chained to a cursed desert. But we are not part of it, we are a helpful observer (deity?), so it is an Idle game and our role is one of support/administration. An endless idle game, which surprisingly got me hook for over 30 hours.
Gameplay is fun, half golf, half racing, with a huge number of modes, from single and co-op campaigns to pvp with different game modes. Also features a good amount of power-ups that make the games a true blast.
I don't expect much when I buy 1 dollar games, and this one pleasantly surprised me, the graphics are very attractive, and the gameplay is simple, it's one of those climbing games like getting over it, but it has checkpoints in the single player mode and more important, it has a super funny online mode, it's friends.
Torii is an emotive adventure with a deep introspective story that stands out in its artistic sections, from the Japanese style graphics, the story full of poetry and it's music with high emotional charge. The puzzles are not difficult but require good observation. It seems to me a quite different experience, it could be a little more polished in some areas, but for being an indie and the affordable price is excellent.
Great Top-Down racing game, at first it takes a little getting used to the gameplay but after a bit painful first minutes becomes very satisfying, has plenty of content and the dev still working on it. A very strong point of the game is the leaderboards that are by lap time on each track and with each car class.
A relaxing adventure of exploration and contemplation in a world that leaves behind an era, that's what Season is all about, our mission is not to save the world, but to carry its memory, to photograph, record and draw as we ride our bike through the desolate landscape.
Easy gameplay, beautiful graphics and a super cliché story of agents with voice acting. I liked that it lasted just as long as it had to, the main story can be passed in just over 2 hours but has side missions if you want to extend it to a couple of hours more.
Little hidden gem, both for solo and co-op, the climbing gameplay is quite simple but the map is very large and varied in content to make things difficult, it has different quests with leaderboards and the pixel art is very beautifully crafted.
Its a Galaga/Space Invaders roguelike whit several ships to buy with different stats, game modes, difficulty, leaderboards and all with simple graphics but with elegant and varied aesthetics.
With rusty graphics and Quake-like levels, Daemonic Runner offers us a short but frustrating little game, where to attack we have to gain momentum and hit the enemies as if it were a medieval Joust. At times it can be very difficult but certainly gets the thumbs up for the original approach.
Great game, addictive, well polished, a constant fight against a boss with many attack patterns, I have half an hour and already died 82 times without passing the first level. Highly recommended, the price is really cheap.
Quite surprised that it had such a large amount of content, many modes, maps, things to customize and so on. Despite being a chill and relaxing game, it is also demanding and challenging.
A funny and amusing adventure that knows how to fill the heart. It has bullet hell boss fights, puzzles, minigames, secrets and above all, lots and lots of silly humor. It's not a game to play for 2 hours straight, since every dialogue is a joke, I think it's best to play it in small doses.
The idea **** set in Brazil is very good, but at the moment the game is a half empty shell, there is no story, very little content, poor optimization and little communication from the developers, although the atmosphere of the game and the radios are a delight.
The story is original, the narration is excellent, the pixel art is very well crafted and brimming with personality. The beginning of these cult short visual novels is very promising.
Taking place in the same world as Mothmen 1966, Varney Lake brings us another awesome story, which is a delight to read because of how well written it is, accompanied by a visually stunning pixel art, which causes one to stop and admire it several times. Although I completed it in about 2 hours, a large amount of content remained to be seen, making it more replayable than its predecessor. Visual novels are not to the taste of all gamers, and these pixel-pulp are a rather peculiar content, luckily both Mothmen 1966 and Varney Lake have free demos so if you are not sure, I invite you to try them.
Solitaire survival with a good core gameplay, very nice art and a little short on content, which explains its low price, a great companion for waiting lobbies, watching videos or listening to podcasts.
This game not only gave me back my love for old school RPGs, but also, it removed certain prejudices I had towards games made in RPG maker. The game has a story about broken hearts with a classic gameplay but with some twists that give it freshness such as team attacks and mana recharge abilities.
Undoubtedly one of my favorite games, the space puzzle gameplay is very well done, with a story where we make decisions that DO AFFECT THE PLOT, 17 endings of which I only saw 6, a true hidden gem.
This procedural 2D golf game is a lot of fun, one of my favorites, the amount of factors that vary with the procedural maps make each level a challenge, it has multiplayer and leaderboards.
It's a rogue-like FPS inspired by Smash Bros, where you have to climb a tower and you lose if you fall, it looks and plays well, although as a negative point the runs are very long.
It's amazing how beautifully drawn this game is, with an incredible music and lighting. As if that were not enough, the gameplay does not fall behind and despite being an easy game, except for some bosses, its platforming stands out in rhythm and speed, making it extremely satisfying.
Nice short horror game with stealth, PSX graphics and a bit of humor, length is perfect and it even has a scoring system to give it some re-playability.
I love this "cute and unique little thing", it's a puzzle adventure in which we advance in the day to day at our own pace, doing small quests and advancing in the plot, which is a bizarre, surreal and above all enjoyable madness. The soundtrack is also incredible and deserves its separate mention, really worth it.
I tried it for a while and I loved it, it is one of those puzzle-city builder where you have to put pieces efficiently following certain rules, it has a puzzle mode where you learn little by little how the pieces work and their rules, and then go to the endless adventure mode which has more things, like magic and events.
An unnoticed gem without a doubt, is a very fun game designed for cooperative play, easy to learn and hard to master (as we all like, right?) has lots of levels, well designed, so it doesn't get boring fast, all the friends I invited to play liked it (and they usually don't like my games xD).
