While I expected a standard Gwent experience with a nice story, Thronebreaker delivers above and beyond. For a Witcher fan, it is really enjoyable to discover a new side of the North-Nilfgaard-Scoia'tael conflict, this time from the PoV of the most badass queen of the North, who will often have to choose "the lesser evil" in her journey to defeat Nilfgaard. From a game mechanics perspective, developers oviously put much effort into trying to keep things interesting, with a lot of engaging puzzles.
This game is practically flawless. The gameplay is excellent, and provides a true challenge on hard/classic mode, as well as a no-grind experience. I couldn't care less about the "censorship" of this game, since I'm not that interested in supports, and the cut minigame feels like a weird waifu stuff, already all too present in the game anyway. But as I said, in my opinion the point of the game is the game itself, which is excellent and probably the best thing that could come to the late years of the 3DS, not the relationships between characters. Overall, I'm truly grateful to Nintendo and to Intelligent Systems to have revived those series, even if on handheld, and I hope that we will get more of the same vein in the years to come.
Revelation is, without a single doubt, the worse path of Fire Emblem Fates. Not only that, but it is a solid contender for worse Fire Emblem game ever. The most important feature of the series, i.e. the gameplay, is terribly lacking. Maps are quite weak in terms of strategy, but they are also a hassle to complete, not because of their difficulty, but because they are lengthy on purpose. I stopped at chapter 12 (out of 27).
The game itself is good. But it's probably the most uncomfortable experience I had on 3DS. I own a N3DS XL, and still, the D-pad is much too small to play Street Fighter on it, a game that needs precision to correctly input the moves. Playing with the stick is even worse. My advice is to save your money and your thumbs, and play it on another platform.
To put it in a sentence, SteamWorld Heist is the best game I played on 3DS in 2015. It achieved everything it was aiming for, to create an enjoyable 2D tacictal RPG à la XCOM in the SteamWorld universe. TRPG often tend to be repetitive, and filled with grind (FE:Awakening). However, like XCOM, SteamWorld Heist is neither of that. Though the story itself is quite straightforward, the background of the game benefits from a fantastic soundtrack, engaging graphics and funny characters. This game is definitely a must have for every 3DS owner.
