Positives: The art direction is pretty good, the music is alright, and when the gameplay works, it can be pretty fun... Cons: But again, that is if you can overcome its many buggy and infuriating shortcomings like the hit collision, the strafe buttons not being useful, and the bugs that you might come across like sliding out of the track or magnetism not always working. Stats customization is an interesting mechanic but the game does a poor job at explaining to you just how drastic these changes are. Not to mention two out of 6 (not 12 despite what the game marketed) has the exact same stats, so they might as well be skins. There are also only TWO tracks with barely any additional content exvept trophies to unlock (but the same can be said with other games that hev trophies). Also the menu is a bit barebones witj no options, and the magnetism only works on the 2nd track but other than that, it's pretty useless. In all honesty, I would only recommend this game if you're looking for something similar to F-Zero and when it's on a sale because thankfully, I managed to nab it for just $4 because for $12? It's definitely not worth getting for what is essentially just a paid demo. It's not terrible and I do lile the character designs (even if they can look a bit edgy and can clash a bit too much with the game's neon aesthetics), but hopefully the devs can do a better job next time because there is a good game here. Just that it lacks a lot of polish and it's just not worth pricing it beyond $10 due to how short the content is (even in co-op there's no unlockables but atleast it's a bit more fun than in singleplayer I guess).

Very disappointed. Was very hyped when it was first announced despite some rough edges. What i got instead though feels like a soulless project with minimum effort poured into it. The combat feels, especially with sabers, has zero satisfaction and feels broken at times like the blocking mechanic. Gun works fine but it's not satisfying to use and lacks an ability to auto fire by holding. Gravity attack sounds nice on paper but it's broken and I rarely even used thoughout the campaign with the exception of the final boss. The game just loves to introduce many mechanics and yet it feels rather underutilized or not very well executed. Enemy fights are boring and easy, with Ai ranging from getting stuck to not doing anything at all. Bosses are interesting but the execution are left much to be desired. First boss is mostly QTE, second boss is buggy as heck (masamune is underwhelming), third boss is tedious due to heavy reliance on random blocking (not to mention for 80% of the fight he's invisible), and the final boss is mostly fight enemies while the game tells you where you gotta shoot the boss. Or so I think that's the case, cause there's a bug that's preventing me from beating this boss, due to teleportation not working. Also, there's no weapon/skill customization, story is non-existent, no english voice acting despite the given option, no additional content aside from replaying stages for S ranks (which are easy obtain with the only thing holding that fact back are broken QTEs), enemy variety was scarce, graphics are okay at some parts though are rather generic and are downgrade compared to how it looked at the Pax demo, sound design is meh (the saber sound effects are literally stolen from Star Wars), translation isn't on point, and the music was okay at best though it did get annoying since it loops for 25-30 seconds and considering how spongy bosses are that's not helping. The slice-dice mechanic that's similar to that from MGR was especially disappointing. It only applies to one generic enemy (even though the early demo made it look like you could do it to the enemies) and the position it gets sliced it's the same as always, so once you see it 2 or 3 times, it's old news. Also, it happens randomly when the enemy is low on health. You can't even activate it whenever you want like in MGR, so even if the game gives you the chance, sometimes it won't work (not that it was good or anything since you can't remove from the game and it won't be missed). Plus, sometimes enemies will die even when their health was 20-30%. I'm really disappointed cause the developers really tried their best to make this more ambitious than their first project, adding a hint of Star Wars, Sairento and MGR, but fails to execute those ideas properly. No wonder the launch trailer was the exact same as the one from pax east, cause even they knew how bad the game actually looks. I can only wish the best for Geronimo Interactive in hope they will learn their mistakes and improve on the next one :(

HARDCORE MECHA7

For a China hero title, I was pleasantly surprised. The gameplay is pretty fun and gives the player a decent amount of options in battlefield and customization. I especially like the characters and the j-rock like music. Multiplayer was pretty fun, although it's also the game's biggest drawback since most of the game's additional stuff is accessed there, which is very questionable. There's survival mode which more or less fixes that issue but it hinders the campaign, making it rather repetitive. The story was especially not that interesting (though they atleast tried) and it **** that you only play as one mech in the campaign. A lot of questionable design choices holds the game back. Still, it's an enjoyable game nonethless. Some flaws here and there, but overall, if you love mechas, then I recommend this game. If you're not a fan of multiplayer games, then I suggest waiting till it drops to maybe $15.
