Great looking game and the game play mechanics are lifted from the first game with a few additions added which for me was fine as I thought the first game played well. There's a bit of added exploration in some larger areas too so that makes a change. The plot is just ok, its made up mostly of smaller short term objectives that ultimately don't build up to anything and i really didn't care for the new characters. I think seeing their perspective was supposed to make me feel for them but I honestly just spent the second half of the game wanting them dead. The ending felt daft too, like a big waste. Its not a 0 by any means but its not a 10 either. Also yes there is a bit of £representation" in the game but it doesn't really beat you over the head with it, much like the first game didn't (in fact there were a fair few people who didn't even realize it was in the first game). opinions aye.
Played this game on hard mode start to finish in a day, was all day mind but its a bit short regardless. Also the story is a tad predictable. Negatives out of the way i had alot of fun with this game, as a fan of warhammer the feel was just right, blters felt right, chainswords felt right, jump pack sections were fun and brutal and the space marines, orks and chaos all felt right wich was a concern when getting the game. One for the warhammer fans ignore my other review that says 10. 8/10 is my official score
You the chosen undead make your pilgramage from the undead asylum in the north to lordran to fulfil the prophecy and break the curse of the darksign. For people who played the previous game "demon's souls" this game will be very familiar as it plays exactly the same with the odd addition here and there, there is also the familiar concept of souls as currency that you drop when dead and have to fight your way back to. The best new feature of this game is the intergrated world, no longer do you have the nexus hub and warp to each level now you must fight your way to wherever you must journey. This game like the last one is for gamers seeking a test of skill and determination. A game not for the weak of mind or the weak of heart.
Having heard of this game a year or so ago I was taken by suprise when it came out on XBLA as I was under the impression that it was due for a full release but seeing as that wasn't the case i downloaded that game and gave it a whirl. From the outset the tone is bleak, you see the video diary of the protagonist and he doe sthe usual "if you're watching this it means im...." so off we go seeing the journey of this man in search of his wife and child. I really dug the look of the game, its a tad simple but the grey works to portray the destruction of the city as well as keep the limitations of the graphics hidden well. The climbing mechanics are pretty neat, you have a finite amount of stamina so theres no hanging off the side of a cliff for hours like nathan drake or lara croft. Food is in short supply, water too (though i found alot of soda) and there are people that need helping too (doing so rewards you with retrys) even rarer is ammunition for your empty pistol and the lack of weaponary makes for interesting enemy encounters. Id say this game was GOTY material had it been a full snadbox game, the limited amount of time you can spend at street level makes exploring tough but fun and the major climbing sections are pretty intense somtimes. Id say theres only a few gripes i have with this game, one of wich is that although the fight scenes are interesting they are a bit samey throught. efforts are made to add new factors to the fight such as the addition of foes in armour but theresnot really enough to do in fights. Also the survivors that arent hostile towards you dont really factor enough into the game, they seem more like decoration. This is an excellent concept for a full game, the ending leaves it open for continuation should they feel the need yet also closes the story should nothing else come to pass.
Ok so call of duty 4 was really good, great plot and nicely done action scenes, modern warfare 2 was essentially the same game but with a new story that got a bit silly. Modern warfare 3 continues on along the same line and while the story is alright its so samey i just dont feel anything from it anymore. every section has been done before in a previous game so much so that you can just tell whats going to happen next and thats never any fun, even the final scene of the game is pretty much exactly like the ones in Mw1 and 2. Multiplayer looks to be the usual affair, nothing to see here. This game really isnt worth paying for if you have any of the previous call of duty games. Gamers like change in their games but its hard to do it right, change too much or change at the expense of good features and there will be complaints however even worse is when games stay the same. Time to retire modern warfare, the water in the well has become stagnant
Tis is simply put one of the most wonderful games ive had the pleasure to play. I can spend hours on this game doing every little thing, just riding about and taking in the landscape and the story is grand and bittersweet. Rockstar have provided a great game and then lavised a bunch of extras on top of it and thats even before you get to the multiplayer mode. This game will go down as one of the true greats. This game picks up where arkham asylum left off, the game feels bigger and there are a few new gadgets to make use of. The best addition to the game is the side quests that you can choose to participate in, one even setting up events for another game later on. Boss fights are much improved. The biggest draw for me was the batman characters, the way they are portrayed in these 2 games is excellent and really got me interested, the voice acting is top notch also. Theres plenty to do, see and take in here wether you're flying about the city or spending time pitching your wits against a much more involved riddler. A well reccomended game.

Gitaroo man and the Lives version on PSP are must have games, this is the only game ive ever gone out and bought the soundtrack to because the songs just get stuk in your brain. I especially like the "metal header" song in the lives version on PSP. If you have not played this game yet then what the hell are you waiting for, go do it now.
This game is so much fun, its funny and awesome at the same time. I loved the fact that you are able to create combos and the roulette system is fun as f**k. One for the ages this game, often overlooked but always awesome
Utter Utter Utter disapointment, im not agaisnt them revamping the gameplay but the story and characters in this game are so half arsed. Any decisions you make in the game lead to nothing there are no consequences the story will still go where it goes all that changes is your group. I really dont see why when they had such a winner on theior hands with origins they decided to much about with it so much and chop so much out. I know they were after a call of duty type audience but those types dont typically go for RPG games so Bioware has forsaken its audience to pursue another that wont want what they have to offer.
This game got me good, only game ive ever properly imported. The sheer punishment just compels you to try harder and the atmosphere has you on constant guard because anything and everything can spell your doom. The story is good too but you have to interact with the world to get the full gist of it so its not in your face. Any PS3 owner should have this game in their collection.
Quite possible one of the best games on the Playstation 3, great story, art, music and gameplay. You'll keep trying to do every mission without losing any of the militia. 9/10
Where to start. Multiplayer is better than ever and i feel that the game is worth the purchase on the strength of that alone. The maps are well designed and the weapons are fun and match a nice variety of playstyles wich has bred a fair amount of discontent from the hardcore fanbase who are used to only having 1 type of player to deal with. Story mode falls on its face a little. With any story i feel the toughest part to nail down is a satisfying ending and gears of war 3 pulls the old "i win button" one wich is a fairly large cop out in story telling. There were some great parts of the story to play through such as defending anvil gate but its a bit short and some of the plot is a bit daft. I give the game 7 out of 10 based largely on multiplayer, the story itself has good characters and not alot else and seeing as its haf the game its underpreforming brings the overall score down for me.
