Great game, mechanics and graphics are all still clean and crisp as expected. However, there are two cons, and each one cost the game a point: 1 - While they may have added a real deal deckbuilding mechanic to this game, they did so at the cost of Two-Headed Giant. Big mistake, especially for couch co-op folks like myself. My wife and I used to spend many hours slaying people online, and it's gone. I can only hope they update it into the game. 2 - It is incredibly hard to get an online game. When there are no games, it will tell you so, however, if there is even a remote chance of a connection, it will cycle the search until you end it, or it throws you into a dead lobby that no players ever join. Definitely needs work.
Easy 10, Zombies is literally hours of fun, plus the new maps are all really well built. Best DLC in a long time. Also, while Zombies is missing a few things, I am super happy with the updated things, like the gun upgrade that doesn't take an eternity. Working EXO's into this was also a great idea.
Good game, however if you don't have a team, and get stuck playing a role you don't know, it is terrible. Seriously, unless you walk into this thing solo and get the Monster spot, or come in with a full team, this game isn't for you. Really hard for me to enjoy when the community really seems opposed to helping new players learn, and no friends bought the game. Big disappointment for me on this one.
I always do my reviews about 10 hours into a game, whether it is a linear gam e or a huge open world, 10 hours is enough to experience all the game mechanics and open up a good deal of the map on open world games. Far Cry 4 is probably the best open-world game of 2014. Actually, scratch the probably, it IS the best. I have gone through numerous open world games this year, GTA V, Unity and Destiny were all good games in their own right, and for a few weeks it looked like Dragon Age Inquisition would take my pick as top sandbox of the year, and then I put in FC4. The world is immersive and beautiful. It is quite easy to get lost in it, but on top of that, it is expansive beyond any game I have played before. 10 hours is usually enough for me to have unlocked the entire Creed map, or the entire GTA map, but I still have 3 major sections of the map to remove fog from, much less liberate. This game did exactly what we wanted, it gave us more Far Cry without making itself a complete **** or cash grab. And unlike so many other new games, there are no microtransactions coming up every few minutes in an attempt to get you to buy more from the dev. Ubisoft did an amazing job bringing the spirit of Far Cry to new levels. And While Pagan Min is definitely No Vaas, that is not a necessity, as the character development in the game definitely takes a backseat to your exploration. Awesome Game.
$15 per DLC that was already on the disc when I bought it? Check. Same price but less DLC features than Playstation? Check. Crappy Dev who wants to patch the Raid every time someone beats it so that current strategies no longer work? Double Check. Take your ball and go home, Bungie, you'll never get another dime from me.
This is absolutely the lowest score I have ever given a game and it has nothing to do with the actual gameplay. The mechanics are great, it truly is a good Hockey game. However, the reason I LOVE this franchise is because of the Be a Pro and Club modes, both of which are available on the 360 version but not the One. Excuse me? Why would you nerf the best features for the next-gen release? The only reason I play this game is to play with my hockey-loving friends and we always have a blast playing Club games, win or lose. Without those features, the game just sinks into obscurity and boredom. As quickly as it was purchased, it was exchanged for credit. Thank god I realized they were not going to deliver these features in an update before my exchange price dropped below $40 at GameStop.
I gave Unity an 8 for the simple fact that I do experience frame drops on occasion and have fallen through the map once. Other than that, I have had no problem with the game. I am one mission from the end and have found it very enjoyable thus far. Even where I am in the game, I am only 44% finished as there is SO MUCH to do. Add in the Co-Operative play, and this game really is a great next-gen entry for the AC franchise. I gave Black Flag a 10, and this game would get one too if it werent for the minor glitches.
I beat the campaign on Veteran and and on my 3rd Prestige in MP. This is a great game. Actually, it is the best game in the CoD series, without a doubt. I hear many people complaining about lag, but all I can say is that even with a 5MB down/1MB up connection, I have experienced absolutely no lag unless the game was preparing to change hosts. And so far, of my hundreds of games online, it has only done this a handful of times. Sledgehammer brought their A-Game with Advanced Warfare.
This game is plain Awful. I am an Xbox user since day one, and after playing this game, both story and multiplayer for 10 hours, I have decided that that's enough. This game has flashes of brilliance, but they fizzle out so quickly that it almost becomes tiresome to even look at the game. I had high hopes for this one, but it's just awful.
