Saints row, The reboot The franchise never needed. Players will start out by creating their own character with a moderate selection of options however with the somewhat limited options at hand the characters created are surprisingly diverse from one another. At first it gave off a promising beginning but shortly after introduces us to the cringeworthy lineup of main characters Eli, Kevin and Neenah. If it was a sitcom these characters would play their part but in Saints Row They most certainly do not With every waking moment spend around them players would likely spend it in their heads wishing Johnny Gat Or Shaundi Or Pearce Washington would return but to no avail they are stuck with these qwerky Teenagers as.. gangsters? It doesn't stop there. Later on Players Will break the Nahualli (A criminal who was arrested during the very first mission) out of prison to request his assistance for a train robbery. During His time With the Saints He Grows Quite fond of them in spite of first impressions. However he attempts to kill the boss in the big twist of the game. He's gone from Ally to Antagonist and his reasoning? He's jeleous of the boss and wants everything they have. Players will find a big variety in Customisation options but it order to unlock them the player must indure missions of the "Ventures" they can purchase. These venture missions are long winded and boring and take much longer than they should it's a grind of unwilling proportions. And finally in terms of the gameplay it has a vivid sense of its predecessors but in turn that makes it smooth, enjoyable and simple. Overall Saints Row is a reboot **** franchise that was once about gang warfare but now in its story and characters screams nothing of the sort. It's a bundle of poorly produced Characters, Unpleasant Writing and Side Missions which could bore a hole in titanium with the only enjoyable parts being in the things left untouched.

Oh dear where do we start with The Last of Us Part II. Very mixed opinions from the Community however, the gameplay and the story particularly with character development was done masterfully. Playing as Ellie, A 22 Year Old Woman Born In the mixed of the global Pandemic Induced by the Plantae Plague, Her mother Is deseased and Father Unknown, in The previous installment She forms a Father/Daughter Like Relationship With One Joel Miller, a character who fans of the franchise have come to love and cherish who gets Brutally murdered in cold blood in front of her eyes by Abby Anderson Of the Fireflies. Shortly thereafter she embarks on what looks to be a revenge mission, Hunting Abby Through the Beautifully Designed Desolate City Of Seattle Washington. While On this Journey Players Will Have to Take every scenario with a strategic Thought out Aproach, Limited Resources and Neccesity to Craft Usefull Items Will have players Planning their Every Move as they encounter all new enemies which will require them To Play Differently than before. Players got hit with an unexpected big twist as they were suddenly playing as the supposed Antagonist which may have been a tough pill to swallow and arguably the most controversial decision in all of gaming, but as players discovered this is all in light of showing that perhaps Abby is not such an evil character. It was certainly a unique and incredibly bold approach that sent players through the portal to the other side of the cutlery seeing all the events they had just witnessed play out once again but this time from Abbys Point of View. Players may notice that unironically Ellie actually carries out more actions associated with the word "Evil" than abby does but this does not mean Ellie Is evil Either. Both Ellie and Abby are in fact neutral. As we discover more about Abbys Past and The Events That Brought her to executing Joel Miller we realise that Abby and Ellies Paths and Goals are not so different. A truth that Ellie realises at the end. Players were met with disappointment through lack of control and decision over the ending as the entire community was split as to what they would've chosen to do if given the aforementioned choice. Overall the game has enjoyable gameplay, stunning visuals and a story that will send it's players through a tornado of emotions with deeply routed characters and intense relationships between them carrying with itself a very clear and present motto that violence only creates more violence. one of the most innovative takes on the common revenge story.
Forza Horizon 4 is a dream come true for car lovers across the globe. Featuring an outrageously impressive car roster of over 700 beautifully designed and accurately replicated cars of all types and time periods, a unmatched sense of both Customisation and Personalisation with untold thousands of possible tune combinations on each car the player is able to get their ride driving in a way that not only fits like a glove over their driving style but complements it. Not to mention with the auction house and wheelspins featured in the game any player can be driving around in a desirable car mere hours after first launch cutting back on the build up and getting the player head deep in those intense races as soon as possible. A beautiful, large, vast and evolving open world designed carefully with all details of driving in mind even the mere sights alone would be enough to keep the player suitably entertained and with fairly priced DLCs that bring more innovation and variety to the racing events available you can truly think you've seen it all in this game and would've barely started. Overal Forza Horizon 4 Is a racing game in which each and every aspect is purely and consummately created around the driving and racing experience. The best racing game ever made.
Ah WWE 2K20 or as I like to call it "The prelude to the horrible year to come" 2K and VC had good intentions with this one but set themselves a goal just too great to reach when the dev company was switched mid way through development and a strict and less than convenient time window to be released. The struggles are shown in every aspect of WWE 2K20. It's graphics are poor and not in any way up to standard with other games surrounding it's release time, very choppy gameplay with frame drops and characters that often contort into very odd shapes, a career mode with an interesting concept that effectively makes one of its 2 created characters unlovable while 2K And VC made the effort to return the "Wacky" to the wwe game series their attempts were met with amass overshadow by the poor content of 2k20s character, an array of glitches and Crashes added to the unenjoyable experience of this mutated disaster of good ideas poorly and insufficiently executed, an online mode that may aswell be non existent due to its lack of functionality often kicking players out before they even got started. The one commendable aspect of this game is it's Evolution of equality towards the male and female gender, being the first game in the series to feature a woman front and centre on the cover and a dual career mode made up of one make and one female character. Overall while the decision to switch devs may have worked out in the long run for this series there needs to be ugly for there to be beauty and WWE 2K20 is the sacrifice we all had to pay breaking the momentum of the previous game and bringing new meaning to the word "Disappointment" the worst wrestling video game ever made.
While I must give fortnite and it's creators props for their continued support the main personality trait of this game is profit with overpriced game currency barely available outside of microtransactions and overpriced characters and accessories all round. Fortnite brings an array of new items to its shop every week and a new "Battle Pass" every couple months it's the game that keeps on giving.... If you're willing to pay for it. Fortnites target audience is minors which makes this greed all the more infuriating. Fortnite also gives other game devs ideas effectively spreading this greed to other games all across the game universe like a bad virus it's fueled bad intention support for many video games and negatively effected the overall flow of continued game support. The game also presents itself as kid friendly and yet contains many inappropriate levels created by its community which shows the creators lack of concern regarding it's safeguards always remember your target audience. Encouraging children to attempt to rinse their parents bank accounts not only negatively effects their outlook on gaming but on life as a whole.
Mortal Kombat 1 is a strong Reboot which uses a unique idea involving timelines which I adore. Barutalities, Fatalities and Fatal Blows (X Ray's) are all new and just as grim as ever which is what we've come to love and expect from this franchise. The story was entertaining and allowed us to see a brand new perspective of some of these iconic characters. As for the gameplay there's a new addition of "Kameos" which is a selection of assist characters to do Attacks from off screen on command, they also join you for a team Fatal Blow (X Ray) which is a new and unique idea. Each Character has a selection of combos which are each fairly easy to learn allowing for intense battles to be possible relatively soon after starting out and each characters moveset is tuned up refreshing their feel while keeping their overall fighting styles intact.
The crew motorfest has a lot of positive changes and additions over it's predecessor (The crew 2). The ability to rewind, Reconfigure events and alter their settings from the pause menu, Accessing Every part of the motorfest experience from a single menu screen are some of the quality of life advancements made, other advancements includes the addition of 2 brand new modes in grand race and demolition royale. The grand Race is a highly competitive and intense mode in which up to 28 players race in a 3 Discipline Event whereas the Demolition Royale as its Title Suggests is beastly Demolition Derby Battle of Up to 32 Players in teams with one simple goal in mind to be the last team standing, I found it to be a much better utilisation of the demolition cars than in the previous game because who doesn't want to be part of an OTT 32 Car Blender of chaos? The microtransaction inducing motorpass has been removed in favour of a new 4 Track Leveling Setup which rewards the player with anything from Vanities to Vehicles To Car Parts and refreshing every month for continued incentive to return to the game. Events and Skills Have Now Been Organised Into Playlists. Each playlist has a select theme that I feel Ubisoft and Ivory Tower have gone out of their way to stay true to everything from the vehicles, to the tracks and even the music that plays during events within each playlist is a reflection of the given theme of that playlist Playlists also have challenges which are new for the crew motorfest and offer a new test for the players, challenging their driving skills and Paitience for big rewards these challenges and also the events of the playlist will have players using vehicles they perhaps otherwise wouldn't have. Some of these challenges require placing well in the grand race with a specific vehicle. As previously mentioned the grand race can have up to 28 likely em heavily competitive players, that's 27 fast racers you're up agaisnt reaching the top 10 or 5 can be a daunting task with a free choice of vehicles let alone being restricted to a potentially less sufficient vehicle than other choices. It can potentially make for a frustrating and tedious grind. Events have 3 modes Playlist, Main Stage and Custom in the playlist mode the player is required to use a specific vehicle, in the main stage mode players have a choice of 3 featured vehicles which change each week and Custom Mode allows players to use any vehicle from any discipline. There is no discipline locked mode in which to play these events which in turn makes most of motorfests impressive vehicle roster of over 550 obsolete an unfortunate fact I hope will be rectified soon. Vehicle Customisation is in a league of its own the game has many Customisation parts for most of its vehicles and a host of winnable Underglows, Tires, Nitros, Windows and Tire Smokes aswell as a livery creation tool which bounds the player only by their own imagination. Overall The Crew Motorfest is a pleasent bundle of varied and charming experiences Retaining The Crews diverse selection of many types of vehicles. One of the best racing games ever made.
5.6 ovr is definitely lower than expected. A wide Variety of Vehicles, More activities and Events Than I've ever seen in a racing game before, Fun Competitive modes, Decent Customisation and a driving experience that is very easy to get grips on, it also has a very unique idea about it with the addition or planes and boats. However there are many vehicles unavailable due to them being in previous passes or summits and I'm not a fan of that even tho I get the incentive to go into competition or buy the motorpass but I'd rather they either release all the vehicles to buy after some time has passed or remove them entirely. Also the sense of speed you get is very underwhelming you can drive a Hypercar and mistake it for a prius and I don't like how the parts can drastically effect your score on scoring events like stunt events and drifts. Overall a really good game with a great vehicle variety however falls short on the the ovr sense of thrill and many other minor but still present imperfections.
