This is a great remake of old school dungeon crawler games. Everything is very true to classics like Dungeon Master, including controls, movement and combat. Just the graphics is modern (and very well done). This game is clearly intended for older gamers familiar with these classics. Younger people used to modern games are less likely to appreciate grid-style movement and clicky, error-prone combat controls. Overall, a superb game but not for everyone.

The most important thing in a game is to be FUN! And Orcs must die! really delivers in this respect. It's not particularly long nor complex but it is very well executed. The gameplay is basically tower defense with (major) action elements played from first person perspective. And it works great! The main character speaks and acts like a brat, and believe it or not, it goes perfectly well with the whole idea of merciless orcs carnage. This is one is a must.

When I first heard of "panda expansion" I thought it was some kind of joke. However, after trying it out I must say it isn't too bad. The continent of Pandaria - despite the stupid name - is actually very well done. I also got used to pandas fairly quickly and found out they didn't spoil my experience like I thought they would. Pet battles are fun and make all those companions much more desirable yet at the end of the day it's just a minigame. Overall, this is a solid expansion - not very innovative but it's very well done and it's very polished.

The game still suffers from major performance issues and TRION is not able - or willing - to do anything about it. The expansion feels empty and soulless. The new continents are indeed very large but they are poorly designed and boring. If I could at least say it's "more of the same" but no, it's not. It's inferior to the original game. Skip this one.

New player experience is horrible in this game. No tutorial, no training grounds, nothing. You just spawn in the middle of a warzone having no idea what the objectives are or how to achieve them. While you try to figure out how the game works you keep getting killed over and over. Worst first impression ever. For me, this is indicative of an unfinished product. Uninstalled after 20 minutes. I'll check back when it's a complete game and not a torso.
