Sad. One would think they would have learned from the 'Prometheus' disaster, but no, again, they send a bunch of incapable goons on a billion dollar mission into space. None of these characters would be able to get or hold a job as a store clerk, but now they are in command of a super expensive spacecraft. And please, if you have a female lead, at least pick one that is even remotely attractive...

I always found any Nolan movie nauseatingly unwatchable. It took me a while to figure out why: it is the lack of human emotion, the lack of emotional investment. It is almost like when you talk to a robot, there is no connection. This movie is no different. You do not give a camel's behind about one of the actors. It is all very static, acted out. lifeless.

I could stand about an hour of this incomprehensible babbling. I have no idea what this movie was about. It was nauseating, they never stopped talking. Who talks like that ? Please, learn the English language before you make a movie.

I had a hard time staying awake. It was really hard to follow because of the ghetto slang (which I hope was only used in this movie, and not in real life, because if it is, here you have the one reason ghetto residents will never get a real job). This is a movie for a very small audience, I have no idea why it won best actor.

There really is nothing scary about this movie. The one thing that scares the living hell out of you is the kid. You must feel sorry for the mother, and during the entire movie, you hope that this annoying brat gets eaten alive by a terrible monster.

This movie is really bad. Bad acting, scenes that are just beyond ridiculous, nothing really makes sense. The script could have been written by a 12 year old: cool one liners delivered by self righteous soldiers. Bradley Cooper delivers something in between a comedy and a drama, but it is none of either.

There are a few actors who ruin every movie they are in, simply by being in it. Christian Bale comes to mind, and Ben Affleck is one of them as well. Until a few years ago, everybody KNEW that Affleck couldn't act, and he was made fun of all over the place. Now, for some weird reason, he has been catapulted to A-list actor status. Looking at his performance in this awful flick makes you wonder, again, why he choose acting as his career. I have never watched a movie where the entire plot is revealed halfway through. One for the garbage bin...

As a filmmaker, I would simply be ashamed to present this garbage to an audience. Sub par CGI, horrible acting, dialogue that makes you cringe. The costume department must have had an off day as well. Just awful.

Any movie starring Julianne Moore is a disaster waiting to happen. This one is particularly bad. Horrid acting, a lead character that is just too weird to feel any sympathy for, the question is: why the remake, if the original is just so much better ?

Truly stunning how the worst movies of the year get Oscar nominations. This movie is a joke, there is not a single redeeming feature in all of it, except for maybe Amy Adams' looks, she is cute, but that has nothing to do with the movie. It really is hard not to fall asleep. The characters are all unlikable, they look weird, they dress weird, the are weird. This movie, together with 'Gravity', should have never been released to the public. Simply awful.

I was truly left breathless after watching this movie. I mean, how bad can a movie be This must have been Brad Pitt's worst role ever, why does he do these movies There is not a single redeeming quality in this movie.

Awful, just awful. The acting is atrocious, the main male character too ugly to convince that he could charm a princess, the CGI is simply poor. The story is boring and incoherent. Why are these movies made They will never make the studio money...

Sweet Jesus, the only one that deserves an award is the audience, and being able to sit through this without...falling........asleeeeeppppp.... This movie is completely lifeless, void of any dynamic, the characters are far more boring than anyone can ever be in real life, and you will have a hard time not wishing for them to just die so the movie can end. I am not sure who exactly is sitting on that Cannes jury, but they seem to have forgotten that the one main element that makes a movie good is whether or not the audience is entertained.

This movie was so poorly written, the acting so bad, that I did not even care about the actual subject matter. This could easily be Matt Damon's worst performance ever. How believable is it that he is the top sales guy for a billion dollar company He behaves like a loser salesman who cannot even sell a used car to a blind man...stuttering, mumbling, no eye contact. But yes, he gets a promotion. I really wonder who puts down money to get this crap produced. Because it will for sure never earn itself back.

Beyond bad. Where the heck did they dig up Taylor Kitsch to star in this I saw him in 'Battleship' which bombed as well, and he was one of the main reasons. He has absolutely NO charisma, and that in turn makes each and every one of his lines...laughable. This entire movie is a nauseating mess, where one scene is worse than the next. Anyone who sits through this deserves a medal of honor.

Well...truly amazing how bad a movie can be. Truly amazing how bad a script can be. Truly amazing how bad actors can act, I turned off the sound after a few minutes. This is worse than a home video of your dog catching a frisbee. Chastain is a complete miscast. Easily the worst movie of 2013, and the year has just started.

There is no way this movie did not win 'Best Picture' at the Academy awards. Truly fascinating It kept me glued to the screen. Congratulations to everyone involved here to make such a masterpiece. Daniel Day Lewis is truly an exceptional actor.

After all the talk, I thought well maybe Ben Affleck did something good after all, but I was sceptical. I was right. This movie is just one big orgy of tough man tough talk, which really gets annoying after 20 minutes or so. There is completely no character development in any of the hostages. I had a hard time not falling asleep. What an incredible bore.

Unbelievable. I have never seen a movie theatre that quiet. You could literally hear people think 'my god, WTF is this It's like the filmmakers thought 'how can we make every dialogue and every scene as bad as possible, and every character as unlikeable as possible ?'. The nerd at MI6 tops it off.

Stephen Dorff is a great actor. Why does he get cast for such crappy movies ? All the acting, except his, is utterly bad, the story is a mess, the very first scene is ridiculous to start out with, and it never gets any better. Don't waste your time.

What really **** the energy out of you is the barrage of fast talking, overly emotional men, who never seem to be in control of anything. When and where did this image of men ever emerge ? A laugh is usually created by something you can relate to in real life. There is nothing in this movie that is anywhere close to real life.

Utterly bizarre. How many people on this planet can manage to watch this movie to the end, or for more than 10 minutes ? Cronenberg, well, The Fly was good, but beyond that, the guy seems to be completely detached from reality. Why do people go to the movies ? To be entertained. And not to be bored to tears.

Unbelievable. One of those movies where every single scene makes you cringe.. Where at every single scene you want to scream at the director: cut, do it again. But they didn't. They edited this mess into a movie and hoped that the big names of Jolie and Depp alone would make it a success. To start out, any romance where the woman takes the lead and is basically the dominating party, is not a romance. And THIS romance does not even have the hint of a spark, there is not the least bit of tension. The entire movie looks like the director was awestruck with having Jolie and Depp, and let them basically do whatever they wanted.

This movie is so bad, it is beyond bad. It is basically unwatchable. When every second word in the script is the F word, it makes you want to turn off the sound. The script seems to have been written by a 14 year old. The acting is atrocious. The photography is nauseating. How can anyone sit through the entire length of this shameful attempt ?

Every scene in this movie looks and feels **** characters are lifeless, bloodless - and what exactly is the plot ? There is not an ounce of humor in the entire movie. The villain and his ridiculous mask, Christian Bale again as a complete miscast, Anne Hathaway's awful acting, Michael Caine's annoying accent, all that makes for an experience you want to forget about.

That was one good movie. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Matt Damon is one heck of an actor. By the way, does anybody know what happened to all the WMD ? Even if nobody seems to care anymore, I would like to know where they are...

A comedy is supposed to make you laugh, right ? Well, I did not laugh once. Vince Vaughn's overpowering presence was a big part of why this movie was so awful. He does the same thing for 20 years now, and it gets ever more annoying. A complete and utter waste of time.

Just awful. I watched this movie on a transatlantic flight, and I was just utterly stunned how bad it was. Easily the worst flick of 2010. Who is responsible for the terrible script ? Who greenlights this crap ?

What a horrible flick. Milla Jovovich throws in an awful performance, the kid is just utterly annoying. Who cares about any of these characters ? I know this is Famke Janssen's first effort, but please...this movie is unbearable.

Stanley Kubrick, a famous director, turns into a dirty old man before he dies. This movie is probably about his own fantasies. It is just sickening. What is the point of this movie ? It is not even interesting. Every man has fantasies about sexual experiences with other women, and on a daily basis. What else is new ?

Odd **** Germans, who are supposed to be the bad guys, are made to look like the good guys. It is almost impossible to feel sympathy for the basterds after they smash in the head of a POW in the most disgusting way possible. A POW, for Christ's sake. And one with honor as well, since he refuses to betray his comrades. Cinematography is great, acting is as well, with the exception of Brad Pitt. The weirdest thing is that they use a David Bowie song that has already been used in 'Cat People'. That is really the killer.

As usual, Herzog ruins whatever he puts his hands on. His narrative, with his spaced out voice, is boring, lifeless and depressing. At the very least, if you show a 'secret'. don't show the human made steel door that locks the secret in, because that kills off all illusion right away. The documentary is just like his movies, weird, drawn out, and basically unwatchable. To constantly stare at people who are nailed to the ground, speechless and in awe, becomes rather nauseating quickly. Herzog always seems like someone who belongs locked up in a Bhuddist monastery, he is clearly looking for something that can usually only be seen and found through the use of drugs. In short, simply horrible. Please do not let this man near a camera, ever again.

This movie is simply embarrassing to watch, and must be the low point in both Gyllenhaal's and Hathaway's careers. Hard to understand why they would agree to act out this utter nonsense...

This movie is inherently tragic. Both protagonists are searching happiness and fulfillment, but cannot find it. Meanwhile, life goes on. I sometimes ask people if their lives look like they had imagined it twenty years ago, and pretty much everyone chokes. This is exactly what this movie does, it makes you choke. I can think of only one remedy: increase the level of energy necessary to make your dreams come true, never ever give up, and screw everything else.

Will this ever stop ? Guys being depicted as clueless dorks, and women who take the lead ? Must be frustrating for women as well, to constantly see men without a backbone, behaving like children.

Godawful ! The monster was stolen from Cloverfield. I stopped caring when the train crashed, and that was at the very beginning of the movie. No way either one of those kids could have survived that mess, but miraculously, they all escape completely unharmed. Spielberg should stop making movies, it just gets embarrassing. This was a cheap attempt to revive the E.T. saga from the 80's. The fat kid should have been the first to be eaten by the monster, clearly every parent's worst nightmare.
