Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters10

This is a fun game but kind of on the short side. The visual novel portions are not very long, and it is broken into many different episodes. Each episode culminates in a boss battle. I read a lot of reviews saying this game was difficult before I bought it, which made me all the more excited for it. After beating the game I have to say that after the first battle this game becomes incredibly easy to play and beat because you figured out how to predict your enemies next attacks. Sure it may be hard for some people, but because chess is hard for some people that doesn't mean it is a terrible game. I enjoyed this game a lot, and I think that the things that can be improved upon are dramatically outweighed by the fact that the developers went out of their way to create a game that is fun and exciting. Another concern people have about this game is that there are not really any tutorials, and since I never have enjoyed tutorial sections in games before and always skip them when I can this is a welcome relief. For me this game is a ten, but you might not enjoy it as much as I did. Do more research before buying this game because it is not the most user friendly game.

Pokemon Alpha Sapphire10

After the disappointment with Kalos this game is perfect to bring you back into Pokemon. The 3d world of pokemon feels a lot better than it did when I originally played the game. There are also ample opportunities to get legendary pokemon from the other generations. Now that I am older and thanks to the breeding tricks from Kalos (see, it wasn't all bad), I can form the pokemon party I want in this game. While I bought a 3ds for Pokemon X, this is the game which makes the arthritis I am getting from the poorly designed console worth it.

Tales of Hearts R10

They took a great game and made it better. The Tales series always has had deep character development and this game is no different. For spoiler purposes I will not explain why the love relationship between the main character and Kohaku seems forced. The battles were fun and there was better monster design than in the latest Tales games on the PS3. The game is voiced in Japanese, but I don't really care that they couldn't voice it in English. The fact that they imported the game to the US is enough to make me happy. It is not as long as some of the other Tales games, I took under 30 hours to beat it. It is a great game and if you are a fan of JRPGs I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D7
May 30, 2015
They took and didn't really do anything with it. The visuals are better, but the game doesn't feel like the Majora's Mask nostalgia trip it could have been. The game has been made easier to appeal to the 3DS audience and it makes the game feel hollow for me. I remember the game being challenging when I was little. Racing against the clock at the very beginning with no save points. The rarity of save points. A bomber notebook which was poorly designed so I would actually have to think while solving the games puzzles. I can still see a lot of the things I liked about the original, but the feel is gone. My displeasure with this game also stems from the fact there is no master quest like in the OoT remake. The first remake soared off on such a high note that my expectations were crushed when I played this remake. If you are new to the series the game will probably be more fun for you, but if you are looking for a nostalgia trip just plug in your old N64, it is a better experience.

This game is Fantastic. It reminds me of the first Assassins Creed game, not because of gameplay but because of initial flack it received from the gamer community. Will this new IP appeal to every player right off the bat? No, but it will develop a following that will look forward to any materials released later in the series. This is an excellent shooter, with elements that let me adjust my character to serve my playing style. The class system is good, and maybe with more classes and customization this game could be "Legend". Currently most people are running the same character builds, and it makes it hard for me to have the identity that I want in a game like this. The loot system is good, and could be better if there were more chests to open up. (Maybe I just can't find them). I can equip the guns I want to have, rather than most shooters where I am limited to a very few types of arms. So this easily beats out the vast majority of Shooters I have played when it comes to playing how I want to. Which is important in a game like this. Something this game could add to make the experience more personal would be player houses, or pets. This game should be more about individuality. This game has excellent music, and the voice acting from Dinklage is nice fan service for the nerd community. The levels can feel repetitive, but if you have ever played an MMO it is not as bad as the vast majority of them. Skyrims dungeons were mostly the same, but that did not stop it from being a great game. This game feels better when playing with friends, and if you lack friends you can meet people to form sorties or make guilds. Occasionally Solo players will be forced to sortie up around Boss Time, and that can be annoying. Overall Bungie delivered exactly what they promised, a fresh new IP with great gameplay. We can always ask for more, but that does not prevent this game from being one of the best games of the year.
