Keeping in mind this game is made by a small studio Hazelight, it's lived up to expectation. One of the best co-op games, truly fun and gameplay is far from repetitive. The story is great and takes unexpected twists. The small little mini games within the game keep things fun and competitive between the two players. It does well to blend the lighter and serious sides, great game.
The journey was a great idea and addition to a fifa game whose offline side was getting rather bland and repetitive. Decent voice acting and the Frostbite engine really makes a difference. However, on the gameplay side they changed way too many things in the way we take free kicks, corners and penalties, and it becomes very frustrating trying to get the player to do exactly what you want to do. Good game overall
As many have said before, this game is absolutely brilliant. In essence it's a smartphone game about drawing a line from a starting point to the finish. But put that in a huge open world with beautiful colours and landscapes, intelligent puzzle design and challenging you every step of the way. Some puzzles can be frustrating if you don't understand them but when you do, that sense of satisfaction keeps you playing on and on. Slightly pricey at first glance, but when you realize how much work and thought has gone into the game you will be astonished, it's definitely worth it.
I don't write reviews often but ever so seldom a game grips you and you feel like you need to share it with the world. That's exactly what Life is Strange does and it does it predominantly by its storyline. The gameplay mechanics aren't going to win any awards - its straight forward point and click and exhaust the available options. But where the game shines is in it's ability to give the gamer choices that relate to real life relatable issues, and it **** you in. Many will have that nostalgic feeling of their highschool days. The story takes many unexpected twists and each episode ends with a cliffhanger to keep you coming back for more. And last but not least, the indie soundtrack of the game is amazing and does such a brilliant job at setting the tone and location and mood. The sunset sunrise lighting and slow moments where you can just sit and appreciate the atmosphere makes this game a true gem. A must play for all casual gamers and story lovers.
If you play this game expecting portal 2, you're going to be disappointed. If you're looking for an easy to pick up and play first person puzzler, and you loved portal then this is for you. Game is a bit short but to be expected for $10, achievements keep the game relatively challenging and you won't necessarily find yourself throwing the controller on the group to work out a puzzle nor will u be leaving it to your 8 year old brother to play with. 7/10
Great game, very addictive. Don't expect anything more than plants vs zombies gone Third person shooter(or chomping). The cons are that there are no offline modes, which you would expect from an originally single player game; the split screen only has a single mode. And the unlocked characters don't add enough difference to their originals other than elemental effects (toxic, fire, ice, electric, etc) Would like a bit more reward for unlocking a character. But for the price of the game it's really fun.
Good addition. More of the same from dishonoured but its adds some good quality missions. Disappointed that they didn't add more powers but the pull is very interesting to work with. Overall a good way to see out one of the best games of 2012. Lets hope for a dishonest 2 on next gen with a deeper storyline.
Anybody who is marking this game down most probably has not finished it or just wants to balance out the score. It is an incredible STORY, cliché but emotional and unique to video game. It felt more like a movie. As for the game play my only problem is the confusion in controlling the two brothers with two sticks but by the end of the game you realize why. The art worlds are amazing it captivates you, the puzzles intrigue you but never frustrate you. The beauty may be in its simplicity, its not very challenging but that is a good thing in this case. 10/10.
Good value for money for anybody who really liked Dishonored. I'm giving it a 10, for 800 MSP this DLC gives you more than enough content, brand new missions constructed with a completely new story that's intriguing, modified skills and weapons that change the game play, and achievements that keep the DLC's replay value at a minimum of 2 playthroughs.
Gameplay is as u'd expect the bioshock formula. But the story... the story is confusing, you sit there at the end of the game with your jaw on the ground trying to understand. This just makes you want more, it engages you, its not another game that's all about gameplay and the story is a side game. I felt like I was playing a movie. The characters are great, what some people have said is that they needed more faces to the voices, a face for Fink a face for Booker because we play it we feel like its a movie nd we want to c the faces behind the voices with the emotions being formed in their faces. Only complaint but it doesn't take away from the beautiful city in the sky, the music that creates the atmosphere, its brilliant. This is what new gen games should be like. This is what dishonoured wishes it was.
I'm giving this game An 8 for what it's meant to be. It is not meant to be a world beating game, or an accurate installments in the marek avengers tale, but a fun kinect game to put you in the shoes of the marvel superheroes and just have fun. The controls work really well, interesting gimmicks such as use of the kinect microphone to make super moves. There are enough characters, content does become repetitive but it will last long enough to unlock all the characters, play through the trials and picking up the fairly simple achievements. For a kinect game, it's comparatively very good.
Second review, after playing the game for a while. My score for it hasn't changed, still 10/10. People have complained about the length but achievements wise, you have to replay the game many times, and u get to study each map so for me the length is perfect. The story, yes it isn't the greatest or most dramatic but honestly that's not why we play this game. Graphics on the 360 leaves much to be desired but it didn't bother me at all. It looks better on PC, which is puzzling. The reason we play this game is for the gameplay and concept and both of those have been implemented Brilliantly. The abilities are all significant and unique, the maps all have multiple paths that u learn about each time u play. For the intrigued you have the ability to be creative. Don't put this game down for not being an open world rpg. That's not what it is it's not assassins creed. It's dishonored and it's a brilliant game.
This game is amazing. Its a new take on gaming that we desperately needed in these times of repetitiveness. The art style is unique, scenes and maps amazing. Personally I love the sand box feel and the separated missions much like portal 2. This also lends a hand to those completionists as it assesses your mission stats and you can always work on improving. Maybe the endings leave much to be desired but do we play these games for the story or for the awesome supernatural assassin powers and awesome gameplay? May be a bit easy but up the difficulty and we have a contender for game of the year. I'll rewrite this review after one week to comment on replayability.

Shame. The user score of 5.5 is undeserved and driven by angry fifa 12 players. Taking the game on merits alone its pretty solid other than the loads of GLITCHES. Like EA rushed the release without doing testing. There are many occasions where U will choose to play as real Madrid and end up on the field with Nani. Or be stuck in an everlasting arena mode. Other than that the EA matchday and fifa store are welcome additions, as well as augmentation to the two most popular game modes: ultimate team and seasons. Its a solid game for fifa fans and 12 months down the line most of us will still be playing. Should be 7 with glitches but granted that they release a title update and fix it, 8/10
It would have been a 10 if they included LOUNGE MODE!! Otherwise its easily the best football game ever made. Defence is difficult but more realistic. Watch a football game and see how often players get tackled successfully. Its not as easy as they have made it before. Online play is awesome, and the euro dlc is slightly over priced but a good addition. All in all, every soccer fan should have this. Don't even dream of comparing to PES. FIFA and EA is in its own league.
Power up heroes really is a kids game and if U judge it as that its rather impressive for a Kinect title. There could be more content and more diverse rather than repetitive fighting system, and more game modes. But for a $38 and 13 achievements its not bad. Online community is dead and I struggled to sign in with two profiles, but taking it for what it is, 8/10. Good fun.
While its hard to take this game on merit alone for us who played the likes of sex tricky and SSX 3, Il try to keep it objective. Firstly there is no 2 player splitscreen mode! Major points lost there. All the riders are pretty easy to unlock within your first hour of play, unlocks have proven over time to be a great incentive to keep on playing. The only incentive I had to keep playing was for the achievements, many of which require months of playing time to achieve. There are way too many tracks! So learning the routes and honing your skills and times isn't an option. But other than that its a good game. Game play is slightly different to older ssx titles but once U get used to it its good. And the gear and equipment are welcome additions but overall they missed the mark, with way to many changes needed to make this game great. 7,5/10
This game might not be Forza 4 but for a Mario cart clone and the simplistic fun that comes with crashing into your friends and blowing them up, it's an enjoyable game for 800 MSP. It brings back the now forgotten four player split screen mode and local competitiveness. It puts the avatars to good use and the stunt parks you'll find yourself spending more time in than you thought. The Achievements gives the game some good replay value but even without it, it's 800 MSP, if u played it for one week and never again it would be good value. Solid 8/10
