From an adult's perspective I'd call this mid-level Pixar; perfectly executed but hardly memorable, so, a 6. From a kid's perspective, though, it might earn a 10 based on the furry critters alone.

Well, we have "Liam Neeson movies," I guess now we'll have "Bob Odenkirk movies" too. I can't begrudge the guy the right to earn a living, but this is a far cry from "Better Call Saul."

Cute astronaut and his cute alien pal R2D--I mean, Grog--I mean, Rocky, cavort in space. Cute, but too long.

Tearjerker for people of a certain age based on a true tearjerker. Kind of like the old Partridge Family TV show, but with more health issues.

What a great movie. Nice and strange. Likable characters, a plot you can follow, fantastic set design, and some good, fun monster action. Skip the blockbuster you were gonna see, and see this instead.

File Under: Violence Porn. This thing should be rated NC-17. There is a point at which violence becomes obscene. This film goes beyond that. The filmmakers use a threadbare plot with little dialogue to fill the screen with revolting gore. If you’re tripping on some adolescent male power fantasy, this one might be for you. Otherwise this film is an insult to human intelligence and creativity.
