A fair score would be something like 7.7 for this game. It has beautiful graphics, nice voice acting and an ok linear story, but also has terrible facial animations (the indie studio says that they don't have the money to buy better tech to make better facial animations) and some pretty repeittive quests (some of those felt like playing a single player MMORPG). Overall it is a good JRPG, though.

This version is a clear downgrade from the past one. The new voice acting is atrocious and some of the bugs weren't even fixed (look at you, corrupting save bug). Unfortunately the political bias of the writer of the game is still present and very alive (kinda funny that some fans like to pretend like it's not blatantly present). DISCO ELYSIUM is easily the most ULTRAoverrated game of the past 30 years that I've been playing video games. The pressure and demand for the players to "love it or love it" goes as far as to the point of fanboy bullies being a common vision on foruns of the game on Steam, Reddit and even discord.

What is up with all the obviously fake 10 rating for this game? Metacritic should do something about those fake accounts that massively voted this a "10/10 perfect game". This game is pretty bad to be honest; it's a game that wants to tell a history in the most dull and edgy way possible.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE TRAILERS! This game is mediocre! I bought this game on EGS with an awesome discount code coupon + regional pricing, and the great price I got is the only thing that makes me not regret buying this game! First things first: the dialogues are mostly amazing in this game. If this game was supposed to be only a dialogue simulator, I would probably rate it 9/10. But this is not. This was advertised as a FPS/RPG that had at least a minimally deep trope but it all just came out as one of the most hypocritical and shallow plot argument that I've ever seen in any RPG game. It is filled with teeganer edgyness in what could actually be some valid points on their arguments of anticorporations or anti-anarcocapitalism, but then the game goes against itself bringing "cool edgy" anarchists who fight against capitalism, yo! And all that with the most shallow arguments ever, which are the ones coming from ignorance of people that confuse capitalism with anarco-capitalism and welfare state with socialism (or communism). Too bad the plot argument creator of this game clealy missed his science politics classes. The FPS is also very weak - not only because it is clunky but also because there are less than 10 different kinds of guns and the general weapon upgrades are way too limited. With all that edgyness and shallow arguments one can easily understand how blatantly weak is the plot.

I seriously believe this game is the stronges contender to the title of GOTY 2020. The gaphrics are amazing and the story is good, but the best thing about this game is the liberty it gives to the player as there are multiple ways of getting rid of enemies. Besides this multitudes of moves and tactics the fighting mechanics are very fun. I think comparing it to assassins creed is not doing it justice. This is more on the higher level of Oblivion! I wish I could give it 9.4 because of the minor glitches and lack of great soundtrack but other than those small flaws this game is perfect.

It's pretty obvious by now that many "gaming news" websites are paid by developers to give them good scores. There is no way that a game like this would ever get a 10 score if those "specialists" were actually being honest. Not only the story was incredibly screwed and unnecessarily prolonged to say the obviousm (perhaps to increase gameplay time), but also the games forces you through a single view seeking you to accept the victimization of a criminal in the game(not gonna add spoilers here, but who played this one knows whom I'm talking about). Besides that the "visceral" violence in the game that some of the (PAID) press is praising is actually done in a way that psychologically screwed up the developers involved. With all that said at least the graphics of the game are good, but that's unfortunately pretty much all the good in this game.

This is an artificially difficult action RPG with glitchy combat that excludes many potential players. The lore is based on Norse mythology and is fun to read through; the individual stage designs are pretty nice with decent graphical elements; the bosses look neat until you go to fight them; and the glitchy combat + boosted difficulty makes the gameplay rely on good luck and continual grinding most of the time before progressing forward. Many people will have problems with the fixed camera angles, I did too in the beginning until I got used to where the transitions were and could often get myself into a comfortable angle during most combat encounters. Being generally aware of where your character sprite is on-screen relative to the enemies, as well as how fast the enemies move and what their attacks typically are will give you a good idea about proper dodging and attacking patterns that will ultimately benefit you. (This takes time to get there.) Overall, the game feels really very much like it plays in early access, with all of the glitches and bugs encountered. I am sure a lot of things were play-tested before release, but there are some simple things that should have been looked at and adjusted before release. These things I have mentioned to the developers through the discussion forums, and they have indicated that they will consider changes, though there has not been any updates or announcements about planned changes now 10 days post-release. (There are some really simple to correct things such as giving the player the ability to skip animations at boss encounters--because you are expected to die again and again, but the animation plays every single time. There are also other really time-wasting actions such as picking up each item individually that takes about 3 seconds each.) But those are QoL issues, and I understand that they may be working on some of the bigger glitchy aspects of the game, but I really feel that most of this could have been done before making the player base who planned on buying a full-release be the player-testers instead. So next thing I wanted to mention is the combat and the difficulty comes from a lot of enemies that hit super hard, and facing a small mob of them means that you have to constantly hit and dodge. Fortunately there is no stamina bar in this game, and you can use dodge to break up your current action, even if you are in the middle of a heavy attack. This is really necessary for this game. The not-so-fun aspect of the combat comes from the artificially boosted HP of a lot of bigger enemies and bosses. This is especially the case with bosses. Don't be surprised if you have to head into a fight and basically nip 1% HP off the boss per hit, having to dodge all over the place, and any hits you take will shave 30% of your HP. On top of that, there are issues with dodging around bosses because they are bigger, and sometimes you can get clipped between the boss and the wall. Burning through all of your healing items in any boss fight is just normal progression, and to get them back, you have to go grind through waves of enemies and hope for some good drops. Because shops have very limited supplies and do not restock. The ridiculous amount of repetitive fighting in this game is mind-boggling. (Repetitive in not only are you going through the same waves after waves of enemies, but also you are using basically the same attack, dodge, attack, dodge, series of button presses ad nauseam.) For some people like me, who wants to see progression in story, it just doesn't sit well with me when there are absolutely no difficulty options. Hopefully this will get added in the future. We are in 2019, and some computer games still don't allow for rebinding of keys. Why is that? I also had a lot of display issues, because there is no native 4K support, I had a lot of on-screen display aberrations during the gameplay because of the 1080P game window stretched across the 4K screen. I also had the game randomly jump out of full-screen to give me a 1080P window while I was playing. Native 4K support is really a must in 2019, in my opinion. I do wish some of the textures have finer detail, especially with the main characters, they could have had better polish. The game had so much potential... but having a full-release full of bugs and QoL issues without any updates/news does not sit well with me. Overall the game just feels like a game that hasn't been play-tested.

PROS: +Amazing gameplay +Amazing soundtrack +Amazing exploration +great graphics +Crazy fun +lots of variety in both weapons and enemies CONS: -You're thrown inside a vague and cryptic story while the game focus on being multiplayer-oriented, given the leveling and reward system that has been set in place. So one could say the story is a little OFF, but nothing much.

A huge step back from the previous titles as this title is more children-oriented instead of focusing on good Art Style, Political, Religious and Crisis management and expansion of the civilizations. Seems like Firaxis completely lost touch with their player base (mostly adults as it always seemed to me) and shot themselves in the foot with this game. The gameplay mechanics are just as bad as the style of the game and they completely ignored the now old demand from the players for a better Artificial Intelligence! Besides all that their DLC policy is noew even more shameful! This game was half ready when they released and then later they came with a DLC that didn't even fulfill in fixing this. They also added several civilizations that SHOULD HAVE COME WITH THE BASE GAME into several DLCs just from pure greediness (as if the base game wasn't expensive enough)!!!!

The gameplay is similiar to the first one of the series, which mean there is a lot of fun in the shooting and overall driving aspects! But that is where the fun begins and ends. I really thought Bethesda would develop a better story for this sequence, but it is even more bland and pointless than the first Rage, which says a lot. Also the voice acting is terrible! It feels like voice acting from a 2001 indie game. So it's a game I would only reccomend buying if you're on a "mindless shooting and driving" mode, but even for half of the current price you can still get WAY BETTER games, so at least wait for some huge sale, otherwise it will be a waste of money.

I really tried to like this game but it's TERRIBLE! I'm only giving it a 4 and not a 0 because it has a nice soundtrack and a good artistical touch in the drawings but it's not only pointless and boring, but also also choices don't really matter at all in the end. This game reminded me of that joke about games having multiple endings: all the same thing, but in different colors! Gameplay is mediocre at most. Too bad, because the iniatial idea sounded pretty good.

It's also too expensive for what it delivers (not even taking the account the gigantic amount of time you'll have to waste fixing this game's problem and bad performance). - It doesn't matter if you're using 980, 1080ti or 2080 rtx, this game will play badly on your PC (unless you're reading this in the waaayy future and they have fixes those terrible problems). Well, all I have to say is that it was pretty disappointing to see that Bethesda stepped down on the RPG type of game and just created another FPS for teenagers. It's a nice FPS, but it's just not a true Fallout game as 1 or 2 (or even FO3 - NV). It's also as bugged as you would expect a Bethesda game to be, and on the top of that there is no Karma system, no plethora of lines to follow in conversations (as the good old FO1 & 2 had) and also way less dark humour than the first ones in the series. So, yeah, do buy it if you just want a casual FPS game, but if you wanted a true Fallout, you'll just have to way a few more years. I wish the developers would understand people crave for a game that requires more brains than fingers to be well played.
