Just finished watching this Movie. The one question I have is. Why would you make a movie about this guy Mark Kerr? There was no Tragedy. He never Won the Big Fight he battled addiction and got clean cool great job. Out of Biopics about fighters one of the more recent ones "Hands of Stone" about Duran that told an inspiring story about a Top Tier Fighter who came from nothing and became something. i really don't get it. The Rock did an excellent Job transforming for the Role he does deserve credit for that. All and All when it comes to a Biopic involving a past Sports star I do not believe Mark Kerr's career/story is anything worth Parading/ making a Hollywood film about. Mark Coleman's career was depicted a bit in this film and his Accolades are far superior to Kerr's. Kerr didn't die a tragic death or young he never got to the top of the Mountain he had a Selfish Girlfriend and Choked/lost at his biggest moments in his career. Not talking smack this is told in the movie. Countless people/ Celebrities have battled drug addiction and got clean I really felt bewildered the story that was told was lackluster and not glorious heartbreaking or dramatic Matt Hughes a more recent MMA legend deserves a Biopic over Mark Kerr there is a rise to greatness and a Tragic event he survived but it changed him. No Disrespect to Mark Kerr but when it comes to a career and trials and tribulations and rising from adversity I seen non of that it was a Film about a Fighter who never came through at his biggest moments got addicted to pain killers and got clean all while his best friend Won it all. If you want a Great A24 Biopic watch The Iron Claw..
Just finished this movie.. All I can say is part one is leaps and bounds better. Part two barley has any kills in it The Grabber is not even close to a Horror Icon i was hoping he would become Other than Art the clown Modern Horror is thirsty for a new Boy on the Block. The Grabber is portrayed weak and unimposing and his Final Stand is/was forgettable and Anti Climactic . I am so Glad I didn't spend money to see this in Theaters it is a One and Done. The trailer made it look better then it was. I loved the first film so much it was a pleasant surprise but the sequel was forgettable and dare i say a waste of time. The Main character from the first film Finn is put in the back seat and in typical Modern Hollywood Fashion his sister is tapped on the shoulder to be the Girl Boss star of the film. For Horror standards there isn't even a kill count to talk about not one. 2025 has been an abysmal year for horror fans I had high hopes this film would be a banger boy was I wrong. Pros the Cinematography was good , Ethen Hawk owned every scene he appeared in he was by far the best part of the film in retrospect he was the only good thing in this film. The way the flashback scenes were shot was kinda cool the gritty grainy 70s film cuts were cool if I am trying to give compliments.. Basically if you are like me and loved the first film you are going to feel obligated to give this film a watch which I did but by the end you will feel let down and disappointed All and all my last words to myself when the credits started to roll was "that movie was Mid AF" ... Black Phone 2 a Mid movie, forgettable, One and Done you can spend your time watching something else and not miss anything worth while.
Just watched this movie on a recommendation from ChuckTheMovieGuy apparently it is one of his go to flicks.. Once the Action kicks in it is an ok flick but all in all it is Mid at best with a grim ending on par with Funny Games Grim, there is no pay off or satisfaction. Dont get me Wrong I do not mind a Unhappy ending but sometimes you want more of a pay off and this film gives you none. No Spoilers but I hate movies were just when things get bad they get worse and so on. Something Bad happens and you tell yourself it couldn't get any worse then all of a sudden wrong place wrong time things get worse. If you are going to watch this movie skip the first Half an Hour the story doesn't start until a half hour into the film you are missing nothing. Should have been a bigger Body Count The Children are all unlikable especially the ring leader I never wanted a punk to get it this bad since Joffery in Game of Thrones. Hats off to that Actor for playing such an unlikable POS that's what the Role called for and that's what he delivered. Five out of 10 Mid it is a one and done.
I was born in 1984 I am an 80s baby. I was raised in the golden age of horror.. This was not a horror movie more like a suspense. Weapons was so hyped just like Sinners in the year 2025 I felt like I had to watch them just to see what was up.. Weapons and Sinners were both trash, boring , and uninspiring. Weapons is literally a slow build to a last 15 minute were you finally get a pay off which was lackluster. I firmly believe the modern audience doesn't know a good movie if it hit them in the face. anybody giving this movie above a 5 out of ten needs to reevaluate how they spend there time watching movies. They probably regurgitate what the status que/ New York Times tells them to. A Vary forgettable film were when the credits finally roll the only feeling your experiencing is regret for wasting two hours of your life. Redeem factors The Blond Teacher who played in the Ozarks did a great job and owned every scene she was in so good job for her.
Just Finished Eddington. All I have to say is Wow! The Movie is Original its a Tad long at 2 and a half hours but the story it told was twisted. I felt a lot of emotions watching this film almost on the level of Hidden Gems when it comes to Dredd and Anxiety. I would have to say this is the best movie I have seen that came out in 2025 by far it is well worth a watch. Joaquin Phoenix kills it every scene he is in.
keep it short and sweet. a satisfying ending to Jesse's saga. it makes me more stoked for Saul Goodmans Saga to cap it all up in the future. hopefully god keeps me alive to see that sight seeing it takes almost a year and a half to two years to get a season and it has not been announced if next season is the last season or not I assume it has 2 more seasons left before they end Saul. This movie gives us Breaking Bad and Saul Fans alot of answer's it fills in some blanks and gives us some sort of closure. all and all I am happy Vince and AAron gave us this story. I am a Pleased fan..
just watched it few hours ago. sat on it digested it now giving a quick approval. all and all great movie I hope they continue with a future batman vs joker. Jared Leto is a chump compared to this bad boy. its a slow burn but the climax made this movie for me. Great flick i vote with my wallet I spent 10 bucks to see this and i would spend 11 on a sequel .
Was really pumped up for this movie. I bought advanced screening tickets was front and center night 1. All and all I laughed I cringed and thats about it. the Clown scene was best part of the flick. The ending was Meh and the added Captian Spalding replacement DoomHead /foxy who I think is a badass actor. His character foxy was so forced and. Out of place. I've been a Rob Zombie Film maker fan since day one 3 from hell is my least favorite of all his films.
I liked part two better. It's a good franchise like James Bond or Die Hard but I'm hoping they have an end game planned I don't want to see a John Wick six. Like what they have done with the fast and furious franchise.i would pay to see one more chapter in theaters.
