As an adaptation of the board game (Elder Sign), Omens has the unsettling ability to be better than the source material. The gameplay still has the same depth and push-your-luck strategy, but shuffling and finicky tracking are things of the past. This is easily one of my favorite iOS games. I keep coming back year after year.

Fun little game with tight controls, but the dungeons quickly grow repetitive. One of the critic reviews mentions that it's "rogue-like," implying dungeons are procedurally generated, but the layouts and enemies are static. This game also has a fair amount of advertising. I didn't find it particularly annoying, but I could easily see it driving other people nuts.

War Dragons is a real-time building game interspersed with railshooter combat and monster collection. The graphics are solid and some people may enjoy the game a lot, but it just didn't hook me.
