Definitely one of the best revival stories in gaming. What started out as a glitched mess has turned into probably one of the best FPS RPGs out today. They legit fixed almost every technical issue the game had, and added some good content to the game. Worth **** if you haven't gotten it et.

This game definitely has improved since it's debut. Previously it was an absolutely miserable experience, but with the additions of new areas (paid DLC), NPCs, pacifist mode, and general server stability improvements, and private servers (if you pay for their pass), it feels like it is as least now closer to a standard modern Fallout series game. If you haven't played it in a while, or are a new player, it's worth giving a try if you can find it on sale.

If you are looking for a nice, relaxing, chill life sim, this is a pretty decent option. Character cant die, and there's no end of day sleep requirement, so you can pretty much just zone out and do your thing. Game offers farming, house building and decorating, townsfolk relationships, crafting, hunting, gathering, and fishing. If you can find it on sale, snag it.

At it's core, it's a very competent arena team-based shooter. 3 classes with full loadout customization is nice, and the destructible arenas are really done well. It's plot is basically a TV Game show where contestants destroy each other and collect cash in a variety of potentially chaotic modes. However, the developers seem to ignore a few of the glaring balance issues within the game (which, given the sheer number of weapons is somewhat understandable), and a somewhat smaller player base leads to some very frustrating matchups (having essentially two separate ranked modes effectively splits the player base in half). Overall though, the game is very competent at it's core, and can be quite enjoyable when things go well, and best played with friends.

Overall the game still plays pretty well. It's easy for new players to pick up, and the different difficulty options allow for anyone to face a challenge if they so desire. Graphics are decent, but the overall story feels a bit short. However, longtime fans will probably feel annoyed because it does away with a bunch of plot points from previous games. It has it's plot, and basically decides what happened regardless if you've played the previous game. Some legacy characters also feel a bit changed in terms of personality and decisions. So, this game feels like it's geared more for new players of the series, both in gameplay and storyline, but it still plays well all things considered.

The game itself is a PvEvP mission-based hero shooter. Point of the game is to work with oyur team to complete objectives for a malevolent AI and their summoned hordes of dinos. As a standalone game, you could do a lot worse as it offers a unique bit of gameplay, the 9 classes all play a bit differently from one another even though they mainly fall within the holy trinity of dps, tank, and heals, and the progression through each match varies a bit each time through. Combat and gameplay also feels pretty smooth. Characters have a little bit of personality, and the storyline, while starting a bit slow, does pick up well for the climax battle at the end. That being said, there are some issues. There is only one main game mode, Dino Survival, where you need to play over and over again to progress in the story, which can feel very repetitive. Random teams also don't know what classes others are playing until they are in the match, and matchmaking doesn't balance roles from the get go, so if one gets stuck with a poor team comp and noone changes to a needed role, the already repetitive matches can feel like a miserable slog. Some missions also force direct PvP even if PvE preference is selected, which really can feel rough for some, especially given how the nature of PvP begets the worst kinds of people. Limitations aside, what they do have feels very polished. There are minimal bugs, and servers have been quite stable from the release. The PvE race aspect of the game is quite fun, and the raid bosses, which pit all 10 players in the match against waves of enemies along with some specialty super dinos, feel challenging and have a lot of a fun factor. The price point is also a little cheaper than the current $70 trend + $30+ season pass for games as it comes at a $50 base game cost. Is it worth it at the release price? Ehhh, maybe. Really depends on if they follow through on the post-release addition promises. Definitely worth it if on sale though. Overall though, one can certainly do worse when it comes to an arcadey class-based mission shooter. Far too many are comparing it to games like Overwatch where the only similarity is that the characters are class-based (with 1-2 classes being amalgamations of multiple other classes). Honestly, the game really should be taken at it's own merits as it does find itself it's own niche, and it certainly has future potential.

This is what should have been in the initial release of the game. A lot of the issues in the first year have been fixed, the UI is a bit more intuitive, the VA has improved, and the matchmaking works pretty well. The story mode has enough content to warrant it being called a single player campaign now, and the additional missions actually give more than a weekend's worth of things to do. If you have already bought the game on release, you are getting screwed with the additional cost, but if you were waiting on picking the game up, it's worth the $60 (TTK + Base game package if available).

Just a fun fact about the rating system, 90% of these negative reviews recently have stemmed from a pile of whiny entitled gamers who had a holiday event cancelled (eventually turned out to just be a delay), so effectively add about 2-3 points to the score, and subtract about 2500 negative reviews (mainly the 0s) from consideration.

For those who enjoy time management games with a twist, this game is quite phenomenal. There are subtitles provided for those who don't speak Japanese, the game mechanics are solid, the ability to run an item shop is pretty fulfilling, and the adventure aspects are enjoyable. That being said, the game definitely caters to a specific type of gamer. If you aren't into anime genre, the art styles and dialogue will drive you crazy. It's also pretty unforgiving when it comes to the amount of money that you need to make before it's game over back to the beginning. The dungeons can get monotonous, but if you aren't into that style of adventure game (top down RPG hack and slash) you probably wouldn't play this game anyway. The random events could also make this game really difficult at times when it comes to making money. However, overall, the game was really fun, and it is worth a $10-20 cost. So, to sum it up... Pros: Challenging, simple plot, solid game mechanics, decent economy sim, various adventurers to play for whatever style suits you best, Provides a game that is exactly what is shown on the tin Cons: Random events could make the goal impossible, Appeals to only a certain audience in art and atmosphere, Dungeons and routine can get somewhat monotonous.

As a long time fan of the Sim City series, I was one of the many who essentially was sent off with the latest EA debacle looking for a new form of city simulation. After picking this up on Steam during a sale. It has been worth every penny. While it may not look as pretty as other games like Cities XL, it makes up for it in every other way. The game itself is very smooth, the objectives add some sort of "Here, try to get this at your leisure" element, and all the construction projects feel that they have some sort of purpose to them. While there are some elements that I wish could be added or changed, such as perhaps a difficulty increase, or an option to set zones instead of actual buildings in some cases (think Sim City vs Sim Town style of construction), but overall, the game has been very enjoyable and it is worth the cost.
