Very fun. Titanic in terms of content, though if you’ve played prior editions, the content is mostly the same. Actual at bats and the game pitch to pitch are plenty of fun. It can get the heart going, joy in critical moments late in games. If you’ve played prior want to be a manager or a player, there is so much to do and enjoy, no matter if you want a more surface level career or a deep, real daydream. The graphics used to be some of the most impressive in the sports genre, but they’ve stagnated for a while to the point where this year isn’t PS5 pro enhanced. This series was my system seller a long time ago, but now you can get it on Xbox as well. I feel like this may not be a popular opinion, but I would like to see even deeper statistical analysis in the games to come. I think they do that in other sports, really trying to simulate the sport the game is based on, and I approve of the show taking that route. With baseball in particular, stats are a prominent way to enjoy the sport. Overall, there might not be enough new or different stylistically to enjoy for series old hands, but this is still a highly enjoyable game. 7/10 for people that play every year, because it is heart pounding fun. 8/10 in isolation. If the content all feels fresh, this is highly enjoyable and a massive amount of content.

This is a special game, turn based rpgs are a total blast if you give them a chance. The game isn’t like some of the monolithic giants of today, but it’s still hearty fun to battle monsters and slowly level up your party for a good 20 hours to completion. You might need to google what to do next these days. Without this being the huge release of the hour, my patience is limited, but this game holds a special place in my heart. Plenty of fun to be had, would recommend it to anyone that likes gameboy style games or remembers the NES.7/10

Sublime. I never was into Forza Horizon instead of Forza, but this kept me coming back for dozens of hours. Cars are very realistic and highly tuned already. After market parts make a big difference in how they respond and I feel overmatched making a tune that feels as good as the base car unless I just add piles of hp. Japan is stunning to look at. I feel right at home going back to my Xbox after playing games on my PS5 pro for a while. It’s a true graphical leap from other games. Races are exhilarating, and nothing beats the set pieces of the wristband events. I feel like on highly skilled difficulty I have the most fun; driving in Forza shouldn’t always mean first place. Adjusting the line is key to gaining places, but people might complain the best way to get in front is slamming into people at the first corner. Race variety is excellent. Playing on pavement alone would have been enough, but the other off-road race types are fun, though cross country can be a challenge with simulation damage on. Overall 9/10. This is one of the best games of the year. I don’t know if it’s a classic, but it’s a must buy for Xbox this year.
