Dianlo 3 is actually turned out to be a fun game to play with some friends. Needless to say the game focuses on the coop experience. The mechanics are nice, the gameplay is fun and the story is also quite decent. So yes you should definetly pick this game up, if you are interested in some good old coop fun. So that is all i gotta say? Nope. So there have been some Statements here which are just blitantly dumb. So I will pick up some of these to actually prove them wrong: Statement 1: The game is casual, therefore it is bad. Answer: Ok so the game is pretty much easy to access. Well so why would you say it is bad? Tetris is on e of the most casual Games out there and everyone loved it! I do not see any problem with a game being easy accessible and still being a good game. Statement 2: No character Customization. Answer: Totally wrong. Everyone is just whining about the fact that Blizzard decided to not go with the Skilltree system. Runes which can be attached to your Skills can actually change the way your skills work and therefore provide a wide range of playing styles. I found myself not knowing what combinations to choose, because there were to fricking many! By the way: Everyone who was deeply in love with the Skilltree system Diablo 2 offered should take of their Retro-goggles. Actually 70% of the Skills were either useless or not involved in any build. It was the most efficient to just skill down one path in order to dish out as many damage as possible. Synergy was all that counted. Statement 3: Diablo 3 is Pay2Win. Answer: Oh.. my... God. Would anyone please tell how the hell you can win a game that is focused around cooperative gameplay?! All that the RMAH is actually trying to prevent is that People will sell Items via ebay for high prices. That was by the way the case with Diablo 2 (you could buy runes and hellfire torches online). And the PvP System is just there on demand of the community. And what other solution is there, then to make an arena-mode where you can fight against each other. Open Wolrd PvP does not work with a hack n slay game! Statement 3: Diablo 3 has bad Voice-acting. Answer: Nope. I must admit there are plenty of weird accents in this game but it s not that bad. Statement 4: It looks like WoW , therefore it' s bad. Answer: Ok so some of the Hud elemnts are looking similiar to WoW and the chat-system is almost the same as in WoW (which is btw an evolved form of the Warcraft 3 Battlenet chat system). But actually I do not see any point there why exactly that makes Diablo 3 a bad game. WoW is not a bad game either. Actually it is a pretty good game, and the only bad thing there is to it, is that you have to pay a monthly fee. The game itself does almost anything right when it comes to MMORPG standards. And the Art-style completly differs from the one that has been used on WoW. So to end it here Diablo 3 is a damn good game that defies hack n saly mechanics. And if you look close you will notice that over 80% of the negative Reviews were posted on March 15th. So they are more people raging about the fact, that the log-in-servers were crushed by too many log ins at 12:01 than people who are actually reviewing the game.

This game gave me some hope in the modern fps industry. Well it screwes up pretty bad. So the mechanics and the game were quite solid, even though the game was lacking stunning visuals like other games of the genre. And what you could play after the release was something that reminded me more of a beta then anything else. Also there were lack issues and it took kind of forever to unlock new weapons and modifications. greatest problem was the connectivity. Even dedicated servers were lagging like crazy. The feature to destroy buildings was pretty nice but not crucial to your success in any way. Also there bugs which just left some parts of the Buildings hanging in the air, where es the rest of the bulding was neraly destroyed. Also the community died out by now, so you won t find anyone to play with you. A sad example of how badly a good idea can crash and burn.

This game redembles a nice new take on the musicbased ganes and combines it with a retro style. It can be fun to play but you better prepare yourself to die often... very often. Good thing is that the game itself is designed for you to die: You will be set to the start. No Game Over scrren. No Overall Score. Nothing. Another problem this game has is, that you should react to the music but in fact all you will do is rely on your visual and try to dodge all the obstacles this game throws at you. Most of the time you will make tiny Progress and try to learn through an Trial and Error method how the level is build. And that will make rage quite often. BUT the game can make fun if you are interested in a Platformer wicth insane difficulty.

It is a short but yet very good game to play with your friends. The only thing that made me wonder is why would you use a level up system to unlock stuff when the only way to gain level is to repeat the only campaign over and over again? The game is pretty solid, the animations are smooth and the gunplay is awesome. The content that can be unlocked is also pretty nice considering that Alien Swarm can be downloaded for free. So you should give it a shot, if it doesn't bug you that there is only one campaign...

Shank 2

Shank 1 was a pretty awesomne game with outstanding and unique visuals. So what exactly does Shank 2 offer? Okey so the Story of the first agme was pretty much finished. Nevertheless Klee Entertainment now will take a look at the past of the protagonist. I guess everyone will understand when i say, that the storyline can not live up to shank 1 standards. Is that bad? not really. So what did they change? The combat! Some mechanics have been added, like the counter-attacks, that let you take out enemies in an instant, and the usable weapons feature, which enables you to pick up weapons of your fallen enemies. So Shank 2 has some frantic and mind-blowing combat mechanics. Visually Shank 2 tries to connect to it's prequel, but i personaly think it doesn't look as good as that. But that impresion only regards the cutscenes. The in-game graphics are pretty nice. So if you liked the first game you should play the demo. If you just like 2d brawlers you will get one of the best combat systems that has been developed so far.

Rich games brings forth a well executed arcade title. The music is decent and the gameplay entertaining, even though it is kind of repetetive. So you just blast your way through random generated spaceships. Yes, it is pretty short but you have to take it as what is is: An arcade title. Also there wil be updates, as mentioned by Rich Games. It is worth a look anyways.

Realm of the Mad God

The producer of this game must be plain mental or a genius. So Realm of the Mad God mixes up the MMO genre with the arcade shooter style. Does it work? It works even better then you would think. The game dynamics are quite simple: Enter a realm, find a raid, shoot things. The rpg element is symbolized by the different character classes you can play with. actually you will unlock even more character classes as you level up. The twist of the game is that it features a perma-death mechanic. If you die your character is gone. and he took all of the items in his inventory with him. Thank (the mad) god, the level cap is at 20 and if you find a group you can grind your exp pretty fast. So why no 10/10? Well it takes A LOT of players to get some high level God raids going and sometimes it is pure random luck that will let you survive. Anyways if you havesome friends to play with, this game is a unique and funny experience. (Did i mentions that you can play it for free? And it is Steam now!)

This game defies third-person-shooter and brawler mechanics. First things first: If you are a Warhammer 40k fan just like i myself am you will love every tiny little detail they put into it. The atmosphere, the level design with it's vast and huge buildings is near to perfect. And then you have to take this Scenario and put in highly aesthetic close combat which is even enhanced by one of the best control settings i have seen so far (if you are using a xbox 360 controller). Blending shooter Elements in an third-person-hack'n'slay is pretty hard to do but Relic did the job fairly well. So what else to tell you about this? the campaign is kind of short, i must agree, but that does not influence the incredible fun this game actually makes. if i had to write a review on the singleplayer mode only it would definetly get a 10 out of 10 since i only paid 20 Bucks for it. But there is also a multiplayer mode. Unfortunately this mode is stricken with balance-issues and a lack of internal match-options. If you are playing PvP you will most likely discover that player level and equipment matters. some weapons are plain overpowered others prove themselves to be obviously useless. And of course the level and the perks you have equipped will make you either inferior or highly superior to your enemies. Then there is also an PvE mode where u find yourself in an arena and slaughter waves of orcs. Problem with this mode is, that it is made for 4 players. And you can't even adjust the options to make it any easier when you are playing with 2 players. Nevertheless if you have 3 or more people and you are able to survive in the arena this mode provides a ton of fun. So to sum this up: 9 out 10 and one of the best third-person-action-games i have ever played. And it is even pretty cheap by now (~ 20 bucks on steam) so you should consider buying it.

Gotham City Impostors was around for quite some time and i hesitated buying it until now. First thing i heard was that the matchmaking is broken and that was one of the most important reasons for me to not buy this game. Anyways the matchmaking has been fixed so i decided to take a look. And I must say that Gotham City Impostors got me. The Style and the weapons are pretty much unique and due to the gadgets which for most parts boost your mobility, this game is one of the most wicked and most funny shooter experience i had in years. Even though it is often compared to Call of Duty i would really prefer Gotham City Impostors because of the simple fact that it does not take this whole shooter-thing too serious. CoD always has this attitude, that it is resembling modern days military fps, on the contrary GCI is all about having some wicked fun. I do recommend this game if you are in search of an arcade-style action-fps. And with many many many unlocks, which are quite balanced. That means u can play versus players who have a level advantage of 100 but you will still be able to kill them. So far GCI really made a good impression on my side and is recommended to all fans of fun-based action-fps.
