Games like Gorilla Tag, Animal Company and Big Scary all have one thing in common- a unique locomotion approach where one uses their hands as feet (and hands). This way of playing has immediately struck a charm in the VR community, but due to abusive players, tryhard sweats and unbalanced gameplay, the aforementioned games all have problems. That's where Yeeps comes in. Yeeps takes the unique movement system of Gorilla tag, the wide web of items and gizmos from Animal Company and the spine-tingling terror of Big Scary, sews them all together, stuffs them with a charm all of its own, and tops it off with sandbox-button eyes and a welcoming smile! The game, initially made by a team of under 10, has become beloved to so many people- including myself. In Yeeps, one plays as- you'll never see this coming- a "Yeep", a living plushie with a puppet-like head, dexterous arms, and a belly full of cotton stuffing. This stuffing can be used to create pillow “blocks”, that feel straight out of the Minecraft Movie! Throw them, place them, blow them up, build skybases and pillow forts to hide in while taggers race and chase you, and more! The only limit is your imagination! Is that jump proving too difficult? Are you struggling to catch up to other players? Access the Tech Web in any map, and unlock fantastic and creative items! From gliding umbrellas to razor-sharp (stuffed toy) daggers, Yeeps boasts over a hundred gadgets and doodads to experiment and play with. My personal favorites are the firework rocket and the wild-west revolver! Yeeps stars two amazing modes- minigames and adventures! Want to play Hide and Seek? Tag? Spleef? Prop Hunt? King of the Hill? You can! Maybe you want to raise an adorable stuffed pet? Absolutely! Or perhaps you want to trek out through an open world of exiting parkour and deadly dungeons? Go right ahead! Yeeps has it all! But perhaps, you’re more of a creative person, and want to make your own little adventure? Hop through the portals of your new home, and build to your heart’s content in your own private world! Yeeps is a sandbox as well as social playground, meaning you can build to your heart’s content. And don’t worry, Mum and Dad- if you’re planning to let your little ones on Yeeps (despite one having to be over 13 to have a Meta account), the game is completely family friendly. No blood, adultery or illegal substances here- just good old-fashioned silliness! When a Yeep is killed, they will reappear at the current area’s Respawn Point, alive and well, with all of their items intact, ready to jump back into the fun! No money? No problem! Yeeps is completely free! One simple download, and you immediately have access to the majority of the items and every single world. Of course, you can still purchase in-game currency- “Button Coins”- as well as fancy new cosmetics and item skins, but gameplay is never impacted, and those who have doled out their credit card must work as hard as free-to-players. Pay-to-win? No thanks! And of course, a new player joining Yeeps is never met with cruel laughter, toxicity or ignorance. No- whenever someone new appears in the world of Yeeps, they’re always surrounded by friendly players ready to lend a hand! I myself have guided quite a few noobs through the dangers of the vaults, and I’m proud of every single one! In conclusion, Yeeps is a FANTASTIC game, and, in my opinion, the best one on the Meta Store. The sheer amount of content it has is frankly silly, the gameplay has me smiling ear to ear, the players are friendly, the pets are adorable, the world is charming, and the only limit is your imagination! So?? What are you standing around for?? Come on in! We need another for a Spleef tournament! YEEEEEEP!
