More of a 8.5 than a 8 but whatever.
Mohrta has great gameplay, worldbuilding and is overall really fun to play with many different possible playstyles, the many weapon allow for many fun combinations of weapon rotations in combat, which feel great when facing bosses, on that regard there is a crazy ammount of them, about 20 I'd say, each of them with their own moveset (even though some might be worse than others).
The most prominent aspect of Mohrta are the weapons, each world you will explore has at least 3 different weapons which range from normal shotguns, to molten gauntlets to time tarot cards, all of which are viable to beat enemies and make the game fun to replay, unlocking different weapon before others depending on which world you start from.
Although the later worlds (5/3) are harder that the others, the possibility of exploring the game in every order you desire is a good addition to the game pros.
Lastly I'd like to say that the worldbuilding is astonishing, yes the graphics are quite lacking even for games with this style, but the way the worlds and their stories are represented, through the world alone and occasional npcs is exceptional. To close it off i gotta say this game is NOT for everyone, but for fps fans who'd like a game which doesn't challenge you to the extreme and have great worldbuilding/combat, this is a must play.
Absoulutely peak, definetly harder than hk,and it does have some problems, mainly the fact that lots of enemies deal 2 masks when in hk it was just a bunch here it's quite the lot, and some areas are utterly irritating, but it mantains the same storytelling, worldbuilding, secrets, of the first game, the combat is far more complicated but is beautifully coreographic once u get used to it and the battles mixed with the peak osts are just perfect
DarkSouls II is a game with a strangely high rating, considering how much it is despised by the community, which, even though isn't completely wrong, definetly overhates ds2.
Honestly being the oldest game now that ds1 got a remaster and demon souls got a remake, it still kinda holds up, there are many bosses (even though they are kinda worse than the average ds1 boss), lots of weapons to try, since ds2 is probably the most diverse game in terms of loadouts, and the lore (like always) is great.
But that's about it for the good things, since the worldbuilding is kinda bad and probably its biggest flaw, that and the hitboxes, since Fromsoft thought for some reason that putting a stat to decide your Iframes was a good idea.
The Worldbuilding is Great and the story is decently funny.
The game doesn't take itself too seriously but it also tackles some heavy topics like overworking and corruption which (even if very much exagerated in the game) do resemble the real world in certain aspects.
The gameplay kinda holds it down a little since it may be very unfair and unbalanced, but at the same time it makes it so that you have to strategize the use of your money to heal and be ready for the next battles while still having funds for new equipments.
Overall for a 1$ game this is a must have, I gave it an 8 because I wasn't a big fan of the combat, but this is one of those games where you can see the developer had fun making easter eggs and "curious" designs for characters and enemies.
I am your beast is a fast paced shooter game, even though there are many more options other than shooting in it, it has a decent story with barely any character, the mc, the villain, and a side character.
The story is as I said not it's greatest strength, but the voice acting is top notch and funny, the mc is well written, and the many additional levels the developers gave us give us some insight on how terrifying Harding really is.
The gameplay is this game's biggest strength, it is fast, relies on level knowledge and quick reflexes, it is not too punishing and the movement is great.
Overall the reason why I am giving this game only a 7 / 7.5 is that the story isn't all that much, and although the gameplay is fun, it does have its flaws, the biggest being that it becomes quite repetitive quickly (and the game is less than 5 hours in length 2 or less counting only the story), so much so that you might lose interest in the game before doing every extra level, but I definetly recommend this game to anybody searching for a enjoyable game that doesn't necessarily need you to think too much.
Eldest Souls is a boss rush game that takes about 5-7 hours to complete depending on how strong you are, it's not too hard or complicated to understand but the clunkiness of the movement and attacks hold it back quite a bit.
The bosses are quite diverse and enjoyable to fight, each one needing a different playstile, either much more aggressive needing good timing to dodge and counter their attacks, or precise and dangerous, requiring positioning and strategy to assure the win.
Overall due to the shortness and problems withing the combat, I cannot give it more than a 7, it'd be a 7+ at best, but for 2$(on sale) it's definetly worth it, ESPECIALLY if you like a challenge when getting platinums, since this one is quite hard and tough, I myself didn't get it, but you if u like unfairly hard souls-like games, this might just be the perfect game for you.
Bought this for 3$ on steam during the spring sale, took me 4 hours and a half to get the platinum.
The gameplay loop although limited by the few options you have, is still good overall, where you have enough weapons to need 3 or so cicles of the game in order to try them all out.
I'd definetly recommend this as a quick game to play after finishing a long one to cool down a little, but paying it full price might not be worth it.
Awesome game, coming from p3p, the pacing got an enormous upgrade; The characters have improved pretty much as well, even thought the characters stories are less interesting than p3p; There is way more viability in fights both in terms of personas and of friends you can use, and the exploration is more fun; The story also got a BIG upgrade from the previous game, 10/10 story fr, not 1 but 2 plot twist even if i spoiled it to myself (sadly) i would've never expected it at least; an annoying thing is that unless you want a **** ending you gotta look up how to continue the game Soundtracks are W
This game was really good, i don't get why people are having problems with it. The story is very good at least a 8,5 out of 10, the characters are also very human and you can easily relate to a lot of them; all of the side stories are very good (even if 90% of them are depressing as hell). The battles aren't too hard and the only really boring thing is that you have to farm a lot especially, at the end of the game, but except that it has a pretty decent pacing. i finished it in about 50 hours and i really enjoyed the game even if its very old (also the soundtracks are all bangers).
