It took all of 3 minutes to have to restart the game as I got stuck on a loading screen in MUT. The menu design is absolutely abysmal. You constantly bounce from loading screen to loading screen slowly. It's 2025, user interfaces have come a long way, how EA cannot get this part right still is mind boggling. Unfortunately the gameplay isn't any better. The game feels absolutely sluggish. Having taken a year off I hoped to see big improvement but it still isn't there. The only reason to buy this is if you absolutely cannot live without a new NFL game. Having hoped CFB 25 would lead the way from last year it seems the lessons learned from last year's return to CFB have been completely ignored.
Madden 21 is just another sad wasted year for simulation football fans. Look, maybe you haven't played a football game in a decade, it might be ok for you then, or maybe you just play MUT, it might be ok for you then, but for the simulation faithful that have been buying this game as the only simulation football option for 16 years it simply isn't ok. Do yourself a favor, even if you hate baseball go try the Show 20. Its opened my eyes and blown my mind on just how good a sports videogame can be.
