May the Pkunkian enlightenment guide us all home, through the dark, cold depths of space. Ur-Quan Masters HD is a glorious remake of Star Control 2, which was The Game back in the day. I played through the original one few times about 15 years ago. Today, even after more than two decades of enthusiastic pc gaming SC2 is still the best gaming experience I have had. SC2 is an unforgettable adventure among the sea of stars - a classic masterpiece. And now it's available for the more modern audience in the form of Ur-Quan Masters HD. Heed the call of the Galaxy, seek out its mysteries, but beware, for this journey will change you forever.

I generally like MMOs, but I've seen the traditional ones too many times already. I really wanted this MMO to be something new and fresh and immersive, but it's the same old, same old. It lacks depth and intelligent story content. The game feels and seems cold and shallow when you start it up.. and it also is. The colors, world, interface.. everything seems to be a bit more repulsive than inviting in the game. There isn't anything really new there MMO wise. Even the sci-fi setting fails... you start in a space-ship and end up hunting rhinos on a savannah. Nothing interesting there for sci-fi lovers. I played it regularly with friends and even the co-op action didn't help. Maybe it's an MMO for action junkies and for Hardcore people. The dynamic action part is fluent and okay, but everything else is boring. Eventually I guess that the game works and that it has all the pieces a game needs but it's totally boring and disappointing nevertheless.
