OH, METACRITIC CHANGED MY REVIEW TO 6. INTERESTING. I gave 3 and here is why: 9/10 graphics, 9/10 music, 6/10 dungeons, 3/10 UI, 3/10 very toxic, 0/10 it is pay to win, 0/10 world bosses, 0/10 class balance, 0/10 devs respecting player's time, 0/10 satisfaction (I played as a tank so 0 rewards). ONE MORE THING TO ADD. DON'T KNOW WHAT DEVS DONE, BUT GAME IS UNPLAYABLE.

Every year 2K surprises the market by releasing worse game than previous one. It seems there are no more employees left at the company who understand basketball. Its predatory, clunky, grindy to the point is unplayable. I play myplayer mode, without online element (don't want entertain whales) and it ****. It does not matter if you are open. Your 7.1 player refuses to slam dunk even though he is standing under the basket by himself, misses all and I mean all midrange shots even if your release is perfect untill you "up the number" to at least 70. Graphics are terrible as well. I bet I can make more realistic looking players on most rpgs today. Body shapes are most disgusting. Walking noddles. I gave 3, because the game technically works, otherwise, its 0.

The only thing DD2 did better than DD was graphics. Everything else is dummed down to the ground. The writing is very week, side quests extremely boring. At no point quests lead into some unsuspecting outcome. Weakest part of the game for sure. The fighting is enjoyable, but, again, dummed down - especially fights with world bosses. The most enjoyable feature in DD, climbing the big creature and attacking it's weak points is almost gone, as there is either no need in doing it because you can kill it way faster without doing that by using one of way overpowered classes (I am looking at you thieves) or you try to do that and camera messes up your pathing. It feels really bad. Balancing is another issue. DD2 is a better looking but empty version of DD. It is soulless. By the way, DD is among 5 all time games on my list.

Second best looking souls game after elden ring. Cool idea with umbral world, but not thought through. Cool looking bosses, but poorly executed fight mechanics. They either too easy or too annoying. Story telling - terrible (as all souls games). Level design - there was no reason to overcomplicate things, but a plus for trying. Enemies - annoying, especially range ones who will snipe you from the other side of the map through the walls. The weakest part of the game hands down. You will be fighting same guys you encounter in the first half an hour at the last levels and they will still kill you with three attacks no matter on your armour. You will never feel like you leveling up makes any difference. Very poorly executed. Conclusion - its like playing Dark souls but without enjoyment. The game is more annoying than challenging.

This game is pretty good if you look at it as a single player game and play only story. The story is quite good but has a week ending. Execution is 10/10 though. Cut-scenes and voice overs are amazing. Graphically it looks nice. And that is where the fun stops. The gameplay is quite boring. Players are pushed in these little frames and have to run certain builds otherwise are punished. You are punished if you are playing solo as well, as teams can progress four times faster. The end game is boring as you will be running the same dungeons again and again. Loot, even though is most important part of any build, at the same time is irrelevant. You will dismantle/sell 999 items out of 1000 in end game. Helltide is another end game activity which is, as you might have guessed it - very boring. World bosses, legion, tree of whispers (if I remember correctly) are boring and waste of your time as rewards are meaningless. PVP is least balanced of all the games I have ever played. There can be 40 lvl difference between players and guess which one will be oneshot killed? So, would I recommend this game? Yes, if you are casual and a fan of Diablo franchise. As I said the story is very good and acting is at a different level. Finish the story and be done with it as the rest is not worth your time.

This is the weakest souls game in my opinion. Yes, its the biggest of them **** yes it is...well that is probably all. The size of the game means you will run from place to place longer, but that does not make it any more interesting as game does not reward you for your exploration. You will find hidden dungeons and caves, but the rewards of completing them are meaningless and most of the time useless. Items you receive in early game are superior to items from later areas. Balance is appoling. Spells you get with a starting character are better than 90 percent of all the spells you will find in the game later. Weapon upgrades make no sense as to upgrade regular weapon is more expensive and tedious than boss/exotic weapons. Game is buggy. Lost millions of souls because the game decided to bug out on me. Enemies hitting you through the walls, game favours particular style of playing (bleeding, sorcery etc.). Boss fights are designed poorly by all difficulty being almost non existing windows when you can hit npc. Weapons have combos what you will never gonna use on boss as there won't be window big enough to finish it. However, it is still better game than most of crap that was released in the last few years. That says a lot about gaming industry.

Visuals 10, gameplay 9. Enjoyment 0. Best gear is attached to pvp or hardcore pve, like raids. If you are solo player, unless you are exceptional, you will not enjoy it as you will always be left behind. Best gear and weapons won't be accessible to you. And if you try pvp you will be wiped by hardcore pvp players who have bwst weapons and gear and you will be matched with much higher rating guys all the time. Matchmaking in this game is disgusting.

Wanted to give 7/10 after 1.03 patch, score declined to 5/10 after I have finished the game as i can confirm AI is the worst I have ever seen in my long gaming experience. The story is ok, the side missions are very uninspiring. I am giving 0/10 after patch 1.1 as it broke the game and you can not use weapon any more (you can't aim).

I wanted to write why "0", but it is just too depressing. Nothing in this game is done right. 2k21 is like a patch that broke the game to the point it is unplayable without a hope it will be fixed later. I hope ps5 version will be better, but who am I kidding - it's 2k....

Story 10, graphics 6, technical state 2. Game keeps crashing (a lot), some bugs do not allow you to continue with the quests (even main quests are affected by this). It seems there was no quality control at all. If you wait, for half a year or a year you might have an amazing experience, but at this point - really, really frustrating.

Most enjoyable game I have played in years. Being a big RPG and history fan I can confirm this game ticked most boxes on my list. Story is great. Since it is entangled in the real events of those days, it is very easy to get soaked in it as it feels so real. Acting is great, cut scenes are sometimes long, but never boring (plus you can skip them if you replaying the game). Gameplay is very good. Watching early videos about the game I was afraid I will hate fighting mechanics. All those worries disappear as soon as you start practising and improving your skills. Tried to fight first cuman for maybe twenty times each time dying quicker than the one before. An hour with Sir.Bernar and I was solo assaulting cumans camp. Every fight is breath taking as you are punished for mistakes. Sometimes you have to fight aggressively, sometimes you have to wait for your opponent to make mistakes. Each fight is original. You can defeat same NPC in two-three blows one time and spend few minutes the other. Same goes with lockpicking and any other game mechanics. It's seems very unfair in the beginning, but trust me, developers thought about everything. That is why every time you level up something, you have that proud feeling of achievement. Leveling up in this game means something. AI needs patching, but you can not ignore what WarHorse studio was aiming for. Mechanics such as NPCs get frustrated if you are trespassing and call guards, or come and check why their dogs are barking are amazing. Reputation system works great - if you are well known troublemaker some people will refuse to talk to you and traders will rise their prices etc. Graphics. Since I am playing on PS4Pro I can not expect best performance and texture does look a bit weak in some cases but overall it is a very beautiful game, especially the forest. AI of animals really needs patching. Animals should react more realisticly if you miss your shot, although, I understand why developers did that (a lot of players would complain it is to hard to hunt). Bugs. There are few. Some of them are not funny. Nevertheless, everyday I start the game I see that they are getting patched (like walking the stairs). It's a small studio and with budget they had we are lucky we got that game released at all. The team is working on sorting the remaining problems as we speak and if they had more funds I am pretty sure, they would have not released the game in such state. None game braking bugs in my experience, though. Saving system. Once again, it is a design of the game. This game is not for those who want to sit down, play for 20 min. and go do other business. This is a true RPG. You get so soaked in, that you do not even notice how time passes. Every time I start playing this game I have to put alarm on if I have something planned for that day, because believe me, it is so easy to spend 4 - 6 hours playing this masterpiece without realizing it. And if you spend that time playing the game, you will find beds to sleep, potions or game will autosave. I do appreciate the fact with the games current state, the saving system might be a bit annoying, but it will work. Just give it a time. I give a week 10 (once bugs patched) with potential to be a strong 10.
