I am completely agree with "TheNoobPolice". Watching Lara's sorry face all the time makes me irritating. She is an emo in her twenties who is so oversensitive that the "suffering" of the tribal dude makes her cry, while constantly stealing them and ruthlessly killing others through the whole game. The first reboot was amazing and Lara was beautiful and sexy. This is now the politically correct version. The game also has too much pointless walking, no-fun killings and a dumb story. What is outrageous is that there are even socialist agendas in the game, like conversations such as: -"They don’t paying us a living wage!!!!!!!!!" - we should have Commie Sanders to do something! - "...and they sell the relics for PROFIT" - oh, because profit is so EVIL kiddos! - "They are after money, not history!" - because money is so BAD kiddos, and the two can't go together at all. -"The oil company left us when the oil price went down!" - because they should have stayed there and working for losses, right? Oh those greedy ****, they wanted to keep their company! Outrageous, and you even paying for the propaganda! This game is definitely for 12-year olds, and not above. They can jump and run and swim all the way. But again, her sad looking face is the most irritating. Her partner's face is also mostly sad-looking.

Only if you can accept the fact that every shooting is gonna hit. You can use against the enemies of course, but for me this is completely ruins the game. Nothing really have to do with X-COM, don't expect anything from it. The AI is dumb, they shoot you if they see you, if they lost sight, they not gonna follow you. UI is over complicated, graphics is gray and boring. This game has the worst of the tactical-turn based systems. Very amateur job. I also wanted to mention how obvious that some of the "8-10" pointers (if not all of them) are paid reviews. If they starting the review with introducing the company, you can bet that it is fake as hell.

The average score rate of this game is a joke. This is really an awesome game with interesting mechanics, however, it has its flaws. The biggest problem is that the game is extremely short. Stories are uninteresting, the map is relatively small, characters are soulless, V8 cars seem to have the horse power of a bicycle and consume as much as a Tiger tank. But apart from that, this game is pretty awesome, that's why its shortness is so painful. Lots of things are missing and you just can't understand why they didn't fill it with 10x more content. I mean, what does it take to write about 50 more missions? Why they could not make a much bigger map? It doesn't sound like a big deal, especially because the main mechanics is already done and working pretty awesomely. So despite of these, this game is still a strong 7/10. With the flaws corrected, this would be 9/10. For comparison, Dying Light is 10/10.

This game is huge and insanely empty. The map designer done its job for sure. Big and probably accurate places. DO NOT EXPECT any story, ANY NPC at all. This game is ridiculously NOT about that. It is insane that they could done this in 2019; releasing a game without actual story-line. The objects, consumables are dull, the graphic besides the map is ugly, dull, low-grade. You don't have too much weapons at all. I played this alone (nobody wanted to play this game with me) so I am not sure if more player brings more enemy, but the enemies are definitely NOT ENOUGH for even a single player. It just makes the game even more empty. I don't know about this engine, but definitely has something to do with the half-life / F.E.A.R. engine. Similar colors and the spider-like mini-robot is entirely the same as the face-attacker in half-life. The AI feels also very similar, and here is the good part: the action, the fights in the game are extremely good. The AI is unbelievably good (in most cases). It gives real fight feeling into the game. It is painfully missing from other games. The designer of the enemies has done an awesome job, the robots looks evil and complex, the damage system hits the nail, the usage of weapons are actually good. This is that awesome that you eventually forgive the lack of everything else. The rpg elements are also not bad, but just when your character leveled to be a real match to the machines, the game ends (of course, it never ends technically). So in summary: a very unique fighting fps experience, beautiful map, and seriously, nothing else.

The problem with this game is that it is called DOOM for a reason which is beyond me, because it is nothing, but Quake 5 arena which pretend to have a story and gameplay. If you familiar with the original Doom series, you know that most of the fun came from exploring the levels, because level design was a separated profession back then, whereas nowadays they ask the cleaner lady to do the job. The mechanics is the following: you go in a perfectly linear level, and time to time you enter arena fights, exactly and precisely like in Quake 3 Arena. It is fun at first because of the game mechanics which is entirely optimized for this, but it gets old very fast. Even the design is entirely Quake. Some pickups, monsters and weapons are like in the original, but they couldn't capture the essence of the design, so it is like that and not like that at the same time. They have reduced every classic thing to a mediocre one. Just why? They had the original, how the "hell" they could mess it up? It is not as if they had to reinvent the wheel. Adding lots of Super Mario-like platform elements is also devastating. You are the Doom guy, Super Mario and Lara Croft at the same time. It is anything but funny. The other thing is that the gore is missing. They use weird colors and schemes which makes the gore not bloody at all. It is not scary, not disgusting, not realistic, nothing, like a cartoon or something. You explore the hell and the entire hell itself isn't scary at all. In the big soui-harvester you find about 8 souls which is tortured COVERED BY BLANKETS. I suspect this is because of the huge censor, so it is Disney-Quake, targeted the younger age group, which is completely unnecessary, since the true fans of Doom are 30-40 year old guys, and there is no reason to think that youngsters would not jump into it. According to the original Doom, it is mandatory to build the entire game on horror elements. And the typical "realistic" color scheme: everything is brown, gray, brown, gray, and brown. Congratulation. We have to mention the absolutely, devastatingly bad sound-schemes. This applies to the 2016 Doom too. In the original Doom you cold recognize every monster, every pickup, every event, every weapon by their unique and absolutely amazing sound (which was made from free sounds). Now you have a mediocre sound-soup, in which you can't recognize nothing. It is one of the biggest disappointment in the game. I simply can't imagine how they could NOT make real sounds. They would just have to copy the original, upgrade it and that's all. Same with the soundtrack. They asked the cleaner lady to make this too. The monster design is also mediocre. You going to find hard time to make differences between them, in most cases. Hilarious. The story is also boring and technically non-existent. It is just a cliche-war. I was so badly expected something like the original "Hell On Earth", where you can explore huge cities with tons of explorable areas and huge, open-ground fights. What a complete disappointment, compared to that. Even the original developers realized that they have to make bigger areas instead of tunnels. The only thing which is left is to give the game to the modders and let them to make something meaningful out of it. I gave it 0 points because this is not a 7.7 point game, but a 6 arcade whatever. UPDATE: after 20+ hours, if you learn all the trick finally, such as quick weapon change, quick aim, and get used to the game mechanics, the game going to be more enjoyable. However, there are times when you quiet boringly killing monsters at nightmare difficulty. While I stand for everything I say, if you master the game, it is going to be better eventually, so I gave it a 6 point instead of 0. It is true that the game itself rocks. It really has some unique characteristic, which makes it one of the best in the genre, but this is because the competition is so LOW. So regardless of everything said, I recommend this game.

Many people talking about great graphics while all they can see is the blur effect of the water. You going to realize it once you approach actual land, and you find yourself in Far Cry 1. The engine can't even handle distances. Everything which is farther than 500m got a basic overall texture which repeats itself about every 5 m2, and nothing shows up besides the raw surface. This is especially helpful when you looking for some material from above, and it is there but not there, so you going to miss it. There is nothing else in the game than widely spread materials what you constantly need, and you either found them or not and looking Youtube videos for help (that's why it is the most discussed PC game of '18). If not, you can spend infinite time to find what you need, by luck. The entire "excitement" is based on that. After you learned from videos what to do, you become totally bored. The game also channeling constant desperation and loneliness. If you thought that Generation-Z is a lonely game without additional players, that is nothing, compared to this. But of course this is not necessarily a bad thing, because it's part of the story line. The crafting mechanics is polished and you feel that 90% of the game making time was spent on that (10% on the graphics), but without game mechanics, it worth very little. You can't just put a player into loneliness for 100+ hours and expect positive results (okay, actually you can, since the game got highly positive reviews for a reason which is beyond me). But to be honest, this game is very unique in its own way, so I have to recommend it.

Unique graphics, first class storyline, funny gameplay, absolutely awesome by every standards. If they had released it in 2020, this game would still be very popular, and I say this by being very critical to games myself. Its sequel is essentially ruined everything in which the first was good besides graphics: boring story, messed up gameplay, bad camera angles, etc. Really terrible, not recommending it. Okay, this game is absolutely NOT as bad as the people claim here. Is it as good or better than Dying Light 1? The answer is NO! It is NOT as good, let alone better, but it doesn't mean this is a bad game. The parkour, fights are evolved, maybe even too much, but they are great and in their place. The story is mediocre at best, nothing interesting whatsoever. The level choice is really bad, every part of the city looks exactly the same. "Realism" shouldn't be placed before game experience. Game mechanism is weak, nothing evolved besides fights and parkour, and even part of the zombie / fight physics are downgraded for reasons beyond comprehension. There are rumours circulating about key staff leaving due to whatever reasons, and I'm absolutely sure that this was the main problem of why it failed to achieve the glory of DL1, let alone to evolve beyond it. You'd expect vehicles, base building, travelling in a huge map to different cities, towns, resource management, missions with companions you select, etc., and at least as much genius storytelling as in DL1 (side mission included), but no, nothing sort of that, a huge part of the game is pretty much sank into mediocrity, despite the fact that there is already a brutally good game set as an example you just have to follow (DL1)... To think about the money those developers got who don't even like the game at all... Such a waste. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean that this is a particularly bad game and that you won't enjoy it. You will. This game still good and still rocks, and the best news is that there is a modding community which pretty much fixed every gameplay / game mechanics flaws, for free (think about the game developers again). Years of years of development, tons of wasted money, only to see your utter idiocy (bad physics, weak, few zeds, etc.) getting fixed in a couple of weeks by modders for free... There are 2 things I can't forgive to this game: it is NOT scary anymore. Do you remember yourself screaming during night missions in DL1? Well, here you won't... The second part is the music. I was so excited to get something like in DL1 (which I listening even to this day), that I was almost more excited for the music than for the game, but what we got is next to nothing. Most of the less popular youtubers could have done a better job for free... Man, these guys... I don't know what is with all these game developers (and also movie makers) nowadays but they clearly NOT worthy of their money, they just ripping off the company they working for. Bud just buy the game, install the mods, and you will gonna have a decent experience. Epic zed battles await you which will never get old. Oh, and those complaining about graphics and performance, you guys should really stop using cracked games, quit watching porn, and run an anti-malware software. You ALL gonna be surprised.

I don't know what is with all these naysayers. This game brings the usual Far Cry quality what you'd expect. Maybe there are better sequels, but this doesn't mean that this is bad, at all. I also have no idea what "propaganda" these people are referring to. Maybe they lived too much in games instead of in the real world, so they now confuse the two. Like all the Far Cry games, this game has a message to tell, which is especially needed in our current times, and maybe that means that much of the naysayers are governmental droids (you'd understand why once you play the game). You can buy this game, it is awesome!

This game is like a WASD simulator developed by a single man out of boredom in 3 days. Graphics is outdated but this is the smallest problem. The world is huge and empty, filled with empty buildings and furnitures which are but decorations, locked doors to cover laziness, but since you find nothing, it doesn't matter anyway. Combat feels bad. One fistfight with a zombie and you'll bleed to death. Jumping is worse than nothing. 20 minute and you starve to death, but no worries, there aren't any food (or anything) anywhere anyway. When you character gets sick (a couple of minutes without proper clothing), it sneezes and LAUGHING! Oh, and what zombies are we talking about? Those 3-4 you cross path with time to time? GUI is beyond ridiculous. It is like an alpha version of something. Completely unintuitive and there aren't ANY hints and explanations for what is what. If you ever played Project Zomboid (which is still a beta game), this game offers about 1% of it at best. Avoid it but you won't, because you have no other options to play an online zombie survival game.

Did you dislike the card management in Kingmaker? That's was absolutely cool in comparison. Don't fall for the "amazing" reviews. I bet they got paid for writing them.

This is nothing really like X-Com. Moreover, it is way worse than Phoenix Point (you read it right). It is a decent game, but absolutely mediocre, and adds literally nothing to the genre. Developers keep making the mistake over and over than their "realistic" graphic consist of shades of brown and gray, and here you are, you can't catch the enemy from isometric view on a 32'' monitor. It is also absolutely boring to watch. Games should not be too realistic, but GAMES! Why do you think the people still playing with old-school games like Doom? Enemies are also completely mediocre and totally similar to each other, as if the similar color schemes weren't enough. It is just simply boring. I recently finished Fort Triumph, which I enjoyed a lot more than this, despite that that game is definitely for the younger generations. The game also has an idiotic checkpoint system with no save option, which can make you to loose a hard-core, eight turn progress anytime. This is clearly a refund-trigger. The game also has an idiotic, mobile-like menu system, which is completely unintuitive. There is no base-management part. You just go one mission after another. This would be not a problem if the missions had been not completely repetitive. Don't buy those 10 point reviews, they are all scams. For comparison: X-Com 2 8/10, Phoenix Point 7/10, Fort Triumph 6/10. I keep playing it, so I might update my review, later. UPDATE: so you have three types of basic missions: sabotage (destroy a canister), supply run, and rescue people, and these three missions are repeating over and over. After you finish each multiple times, you get a story mission, which is sometimes an overwhelmingly hard boss fight. This "content" totally can be considered as an unfinished game. Seriously, the Phoenix Point is a 20 times more professional game with 50 times more content. The only advantage of this game is the "better" graphics, better animations, and a somewhat more sophisticated overwatch system. But there is really nothing else besides these. By the way, about overwatch: you can win most of the missions by simply barricading yourself and set up a killzone, and watch how the reptilians run into it one by one, then, you can hunt the rest who had more intelligence to not doing so. The main characters are more or less useless, and you have to chose them for finishing main missions. On the other hand, the 'scout'-class is way better than the rest combined. They have a powerful shotgun, ability to shot twice in a row, they have a predator/crysis cloak, and many great abilities. You can pick two of them in each mission, and you simply cannot loose, not even on hard difficulty. The problem of course, that you can't bring them with you to boss fights, which makes them a lot harder than it should be. Did I mention that if you want to exit from the desktop during missions (mostly out of frustration or boredom), the game either saves the actual progress, even if you about to loose the battle, or make you to completely abandon the mission and start over the whole thing? I mean, there is NO option to exit without save. So you have to be defeated, then restart the checkpoint where you still have a chance, and THEN exit to the desktop. And you calling this as game-"design"? And just imagine that these useless, drone programmers get terrible amount of money for doing this absolutely amateurish job, which never happened even in the beginning of the computer games-era (I was there). It is a 3.5 point game, but I give it a zero, to balance the brutally lying, paid reviews. "X-Com on steroids"? Are you totally **** or WTF??? That's not game journalism, that's lies, lies, lies! Buy ONLY if you REALLY starving for a minimal, smartphone-like X-Com experience.

Nice leftist propaganda game: we have the usual "killing the planet" alarmism, a "machines take our jobs" alarmism, and a BLACK robot who tells us he doesn't want to be a SLAVE anymore, while it was abused by a WHITE owner. Notice the pattern already? It also says that machines are actually can be more HUMAN than HUMANS, which can help you to look down on yourself and your fellow men (pretty much what the left wants always). Oh, those oppressed, living saint, SLAVE robots, really... What is this? Cyber Cultural Marxism??? For those who think that robots can be humans, I suggest to study how much computer had to be connected together to simulate 1 second of human-brain activity. As for the gameplay: your ability to interact is very, very low. You are highly restricted to do anything. However, the quality of the storyiine is not that bad, the atmosphere also above average, the voice acting of the famous actors are good, the others' are pretty average, or below that. This game is enjoyable for those who believe all what the left says, but not so much for those who have actual economical knowledge: every innovation, new machine helps the economy to grow richer. This only can mean one of two things: 1. you going to get more jobs or 2. you can have universal basic income. So the "androids taking our jobs" is just another alarmist lie. "They have caused unprecedented growth of the economy, YET, they also have caused high unemployment rate". Dude, the two LITERALLY excludes each other. It is like saying that cars have caused unemployment. And of course "this is not just a game, this is your future". Oh sure dude. So for us sane people, this game is an extremely over-hyped interactive movie, and nothing else. But, there are many people who loves the Blade Runner movies for reasons beyond me, so I can imagine that they like it.

This is my first Total War game so I can't compare it to the former ones. This game is very interesting and has a lot of mechanics which makes a strategy game a good one. Essentially this is Heroes Of Might And Magic with a decent battlefield and a deeper game mechanics. ONLY, it is completely ruined by bugs / mistakes. 1. The game AI is hard-core, even in normal, except if it has to help you. Then it becomes dumb. 2. The loading screen is unacceptably long, even on SSD. This is a huge disappointment. 3. There is the black-screen bug when start. You can fix this by constantly clicking the right and the left mouse button on the Windows panel while the game is loading (welcome to 2020). 4. There is a black-screen bug coming back to the map from battle. You can fix this by completely disabling shadows. 5. There is a sudden desktop crash during loading the battlefield. You CAN NOT fix this. I lowered the graphics to the lowest level to see if it has something to do with video memory (RX580 4gb), nothing has changed (not even the loading time). This is that frequent that it happening in every three battles. This is literally game breaking, since you have to restart the whole game and enjoy the loading screen. Completely unacceptable. 6. Camera angle bug on the main map. All of a sudden, the camera angle has changed itself to be too vertical from horizontal. Changing options doesn't do anything. Thank you. Are you telling me that I going to play 100+ hours with a bad camera angle? I could forgive anything, except the 5. You can finish the game by auto-resolving every battle, but it can be boring after a while. If these bugs / mistakes were not present, this game will be a steady 8/10. But I literally had to abandon it because of them, and I can't see that these bugs going to be fixed, so I can't see I going to play it again or recommend this game to anyone.

This game is the shining example of how to make something absolutely mediocre. Whoever said that this was from the creators of X-Com, is lied. There is a retextured X-Com game with the missing about 70% of the fun, an added 40% not fun, including unnecessary game mechanics, like AMMO. This game shows the difference between professional game making and amateur game making. You can feel that the creators absolutely not loved the game at all, and they aren't really even players. You get CRABS (???) instead of aliens, a terrifyingly bad MOBILE HUD instead of a clean and professional one, an overtextured, terribly optimized graphics instead of a nice and clean one and the most boring campaign you ever had. The story is just simply idiotic. I really wanted to love it, but I caught myself falling asleep constantly. Why did they even had to make this game? EDIT: After playing 20+ hours, I have to say that this is pretty much a decent game. While I still don't like the art-style, the game mechanics is pretty interesting and contains lots of stuff which was missed from X-Com2. Only, you have to take time to unravel this. But there is still no interesting story-line. The optimization is terrible, including the huge loading time. Therefore I give it a 6 score instead of a 3, after all.

Painfully mediocre and boring, without any single real character or interesting story line.

The game mechanics is far from Fallout. It is a lot more simplistic, which is a bad thing, though, it have interesting elements. They story line isn't interesting, the characters are not interesting at all. Not a bad game though and not so short, but you not going to play it twice, that's for sure. I looking forward to the next sequel. That can hit the nail.

Terrible controls. The walk is unnecessary and slow. Those who made this game are clearly no players themselves. After 1 hour, I gave up. The 10 / 10, 9 / 10 reviews are clearly paid and I really mean it.
