Looks and feels amazing to play, a must have for fans of bullet hell shoot 'em ups. The roguelite spin makes it very very fun. The music and art are top notch too, it has got a fantastic vibe going. Already one of the best indies of the year.
All in all a decent action, if you had no interest in the dragon agesaga you might as well enjoy this. But from the perspective of a fan, this is horrendous. Everything that fans loved about DA has been ripped away and replaced with Marvel-tier writing, flat characters, simplistic map design and gameplay and overall it feels like a mobile game. EA truly turns to **** everything it touches
A labor of love towards one of the best JRPGs ever made. Xenoblade Chronicles already featured an incredible soundtrack, art direction, story and gameplay also featuring a massive amount of sidequests. Now, with definitive edition, the graphics pushes the switch to its limits and it's a pleasure to look at. But the most impressive work has been done with a ton of UI and UX fixes and enhancements that make the game better than we could ever have hoped. Furthermore, it's now present a challenge mode and an original epilogue (future connected), very refreshing and fun to play after the original game.
"Hard to love, even harder to hate". This game is a massive and gorgeous JRPG, and it's biggest problems are definitely its complex systems badly explained by tutorials and its excessive leaning into anime tropes (excessive clichès, filler arcs in the central part of the game). I understand the choice to introduce a totally singleplayer and non-monetised gacha system to get characters in game in order to create differences and uniqueness between different runs, but again, it suffers from bad tutorials. Other than that the music, art direction, graphics, combat (once you understand it) and general gameplay loop, story, characters and voice acting in both languages are top notch and without a doubt superior to the first game (Xenoblade Definitive Edition). Just like Xenoblade 1, the closer you are to the finale, the better it gets.
Extremely fun, especially with friends. I didn't think I would get into it since it's not really my genre, but it's just genuinely fun. It looks like it's also got some good complexity with the fact that the restaurant's arrangement is on you and you have furniture pieces to automate processes. Definitely recommended
Created this account after finishing the game. The amount of content, quality and care put into this game is nothing short of incredible. This must be the best RPG of all times as of now. No microtransactions and no shady practices. And like all good games, it's a lot of fun too. If you're into this genre you can't miss it.
