This game wasn't what I expected it to be at all. I was excited for the fast-paced combat and the arena battles which it delivered really well. What surprised me was the rest of the game. There's a fair amount of micromanagement in combat which keeps you on your toes and makes you feel very involved in the action. But there's also this really cool relationship dynamic where you have to stay on the other AI challenger's good sides or they can vote you out of the game. Alternately you could go it alone and hope you're good enough to stay on the top. It makes you always really cognizant of your actions, especially as lots of the conversations make you choose between personal gain and better relationships. The game's also ridiculously re-playable. Every new season shuffles the characters and interactions so it plays entirely differently each time. One play-through everyone might love you and the other you might be struggling to make friends because of the interactions you get and the choices you make, which totally changes how you have to play and makes it feel fresh. I'll be playing this one for a long time.
