Noseeums7

Where “Noseeums”, the debut feature from director Raven Carter, excels is in its exploration of college-age relationships in modern America. In the film, we follow Ember, played by Aleigha Burt, in her relatable confusion with the relationships in her life. Unsatisfied by her friendships and past romance, the film explores Ember’s position as a black American in the South by analyzing her history and the nature of her present relationships. “Noseeums” centers Ember’s nightmarish anxieties and makes horror out of them, one of Carter’s many notable strong suits as an emerging filmmaker. Although the film isn’t particularly unpredictable in its scares, it is certainly entertaining and biting as a satire of young adult ignorance. If awkward, revelatory humor is your thing, Raven Carter has crafted the perfect smart and youthful movie for you.

Groundswell8
Oct 14, 2026
Directing duo Joshua and Rebecca Tickell end their regenerative agriculture trilogy with “Groundswell”, an ambitious film that aims to solidify the power of regeneration by documenting how it has impacted a variety of communities around the world. From dehydrated Australia to Columbia’s high demand for coffee, the film shows in real time how regenerative farming practices have benefitted environments in need of change. As celebrated regenerative farmer Gabe Brown says in the film: it “All starts with healthy soil”. Plants need soil with access to carbon to grow big and strong. As shown in the film, regeneration entails integrating more plants and animals around growing plants to allow them to thrive. Woody Harrelson, a longtime activist for regenerative agriculture, returns to “Groundswell” to further muse on its power, and Demi Moore narrates. But the film is proof that celebrities are not the heroes working hard to restore our planet. Rather, the regenerative farmers who are fighting to integrate their practices around the globe.

Common Ground8
Oct 5, 2026
The follow-up film to their 2020 documentary Kiss the Ground, Joshua and Rebecca Tickell’s Common Ground yet again informs viewers that there is hope for the future of our environment. The film sees celebrity voices like Woody Harrelson and Rosario Dawson return to narrate and advocate for regenerative farming, while newcomers such as Jason Momoa and Laura Dern join the cast to do the same. Nevertheless, as Kiss the Ground did before it, Common Ground’s primary focus is on the specialists doing the hard work to make our environment thrive. Where this film differs is in its choices for subjects. The practices of indigenous and marginalized farmers are centered, revealing how their work has spread the word of regenerative agriculture to be what it has become today. Attracted by familiar faces, viewers stay for the duration of Common Ground for what it teaches them about anti-industrial farming and its benefits for the future of our planet.

Kiss the Ground7

Kiss the Ground is the first installment in a trilogy of eco-focused documentary films from directing duo Josh and Rebecca Harrell Tickell. The film's focus is on regenerative agriculture as a sustainable process promising a better future for both our planet and it's inhabitants. Talking head interviews from the likes of American football star Tom Brady and actor-turned-activist Ian Somerhalder entice viewers with familiarity and subsequently educate them on the benefits of regenerative agriculture, a process that can create healthy soil ecosystems for farming (among other things). Kiss the Ground is a modern film in a long line of sustainability documentaries that addresses society's common fear for the future of Planet Earth. Initially acknowledging how easy it is to have little hope for the future (through narrator Woody Harrelson), the film then effectively instills hope within viewers for a better future on Earth. Kiss the Ground is proof of the power of a modern educational documentary just as regenerative agriculture is proof of sustainability in a landscape defined by industrial agriculture.
