Normally I don't participate in rating a game a 0 out of 10, nor do I particularly care that much for Warcraft, but a statement just has to be made here. Blizzard, this is unacceptable. Seriously, you had ONE JOB! Revive a much-beloved game entry to the modern era, and THIS is how you treat your fans with your spite? Utterly detestable. This game is a complete waste of your time, don't buy it. If you want a good RTS remaster, play Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. If you want a good fantasy strategy game, play Fire Emblem. Hell, play ANYTHING that isn't this garbage. Don't let Blizzard con you out of your money!
Conquest is a game that I think a lot of people give too little credit over. Everybody knows by now that the story is a mess, but I'd go as so far as to say that's the only bad thing about the game proper. Everything else, I'd say, is superb; the graphics are gorgeous, the characters are lovable, the gameplay is - hands down - the best in the franchise, and I even enjoyed bits and pieces of Fates' extremely flawed narrative. If you want to pick up this game, I recommend you do so gauging it by its own merits and not paying the story too much heed. Even if it's not a good FE game (which I disagree with, but understand the mentality), it's still a good game overall that I strongly recommend.
