Excellent psychological thriller. Great score and cinematography, with (I suspect intentional) homages to Kubrick. Very unique and worth seeing!

Watched the entire thing cringing, and hoping it would improve. It doesn't. Not to go all Simpsons, but seriously - Worst. Episode. Ever. Do yourself a favor and remember the Matrix how it was - don't waste your time with this monstrosity of a movie.

Absolutely brilliant. Creative and thought-provoking, but with compelling characters and a fascinating alt-history story.

I love 2001: A Space Odyssey and thought-provoking science fiction movies, but this is one sadly fell tremendously short. This is Hollywood A-liters spouting nonsensical scientific gibberish, while inhabiting a ridiculous and predictable plot, overacting, and accompanied by the worst music "score" (if you can call it that) ever created. Interstellar runs about 2 hours 45 minutes too long. If time is relative, could I have mine back, please?

This is an entertaining movie. It's not great, and lacks some nuance and sophistication. However, it's solidly acted, scripted, and provides entertainment. It takes place in 1954, in (an authentic looking) post-WW2 Japan , so there's no fancy special effects or green screens needed. If you need wiz-bang non-stop action, this might not be the right movie. If you can get into a slow-moving but intense action flick, I would say give it a go. I enjoyed it.

Oh my god - this movie is a bloated, nonsensical monstrosity. This may be the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. The plot was laughable - a bizarre slow -speaking villain with a random (and unexplained) preference for 1950's themed decor. "It's nostalgia" she quips at one point - while speaking to robot-dogs with laser eyes who also have meat grinders in them (that's what you want in a robot-dog, obviously). The action is lousy and obviously green-screened - so badly that it's clear the creators had a "we want to slap-you-in-the-face with our fondness for cheesy special-effects" attitude. None of the characters make sense. I'm all for levity and non-sequiturs in film or TV - but this is a movie is one giant non-sequitur masquerading as an action-movie starring Elton John.. no seriously. Elton John.

This movie "checks all the boxes". Protagonist, check. Authority figure, check. Love story, check. Action, check. All star cast, check. I can see why the Hollywood execs pounced. It's not bad, it's not good, it's just alright, and nearly instantly forgettable. What's sad is that the bar is set so low that an "alright" movie comes out and it gets 86 on Metacritic and people go nuts. Meh.

Terrible. Just terrible. What's worse is people think this is what thoughtful storytelling looks like. Sad. I've seen the play also. It's not this particular movie production - let me absolutely clear. It's the story overall. It was obviously written by a Junior High School girl who thinks she knows what drama is.

Outstanding. Inside Llewyn Davis is an intellectual, heartfelt look into a period of time long lost. One man's timeless struggles, frustrations and demons.

Let me start by saying I am from Philly, and I like Robert DeNiro a lot. That being said, this has to have been the worst movie I've seen in years. This is a shallow, predictable and uninteresting tale about highly unbelievable and implausible characters. The dialogue is contrived, the plot unrealistic and ridiculous, and the acting over-the-top. The creators of this movie tried to do too much. It could have been a serious story about a man recovering from mental illness and family strife, much like the excellent movie "The Fighter", or an excellent comedy about a dysfunctional and extreme family, much like "Meet the Parents." By attempting to combine both, the creators assured neither plot line was adequately developed, plausible or interesting. It was intellectually nauseating for me to watch this movie.
