Marathon is hard and confusing but that is where it gets its charm. I've been playing since launch and I'm still learning so many things. It's also challenging. Both AI and human alike pose threats but that adds to the excitement. I've been playing a as a solo and have found so many friendly people. The fact teammates benefit from contracts really goes a long way to comraderie. I look forward to playing it every night.
I'm writing this for anyone that wants to read a reasonable review. Beautiful, fun, great sound, it's faithful to the spirit of Star Wars without being so stodgy you can't have Rey vs. Darth Maul. The multiplayer Star Card unlocking system is wonky and should not be done randomly. The story is designed for variety and to give a slightly alternate point of view and fill some of the gap between RotJ and TFA. A 0 is ridiculous and punishes hundreds of artists and engineers for the sins of a few executives.
