I actually liked this game even more than *Aria of Sorrow*—and even *Dawn of Sorrow*, for some reason. I really appreciated the level of detail; the music is perhaps slightly inferior to *Aria* or *Dawn*, but still good—especially the "Successor of Fate" theme. It lacks variety in terms of whips, but I really enjoyed the diversity of Julius's magic. Another downside is that the game is very easy—it’s probably the easiest *Castlevania* title—so I don't think it will appeal to everyone, but for me, it's a 10/10.

This is one of my all-time favorite games—a masterpiece, a work of art in every sense of the word. To me, the music is a modern classic. The voice acting and the dramatic storyline are simply masterful. Absolute gaming—a must-play.

An excellent game overall; the Castlevania titles on the GBA are fantastic and rank among the best on the console. It’s a really great game that pushes the GBA to its absolute limits. I hardly know what else to say—except that the story is non-existent, just total rubbish. A must-play.

An excellent game with a solid story, great pacing, and fantastic music—truly one of the best Metroidvanias ever made. As for downsides, the pacing—which I previously praised—can sometimes be tricky; there are moments where it’s hard to tell exactly which character is landing the hit because both heroes are standing in the same spot, so you just mash the button and see what happens. Still, it’s an excellent game that is a must-play.

For me, this is the best installment on the NDS—the longest, the best in terms of story, and the most varied. I’d actually rank it second among all the *Castlevania* games in the Metroidvania genre (though it’s pretty clear which game takes the top spot). Crucially, the story avoids the kind of silly humor found in *Dawn of Sorrow* and *Portrait of Ruin*—it’s definitely a must-play.

This is one of the best Metroidvanias ever, though personally, I prefer *Aria of Sorrow* for its music and overall style. Some argue that*Dawn of Sorrow* improved upon the gameplay and story, but I don't agree; while it's true there are more items and soul types, but the castle in *Aria of Sorrow* feels more alive and better crafted in terms of detail and location variety. The story in *Dawn of Sorrow* didn't improve at all—in fact, the anime-style character designs and occasional silly humor actually detract from it. Still, it is undoubtedly a great game and a must-play for anyone who enjoys Metroidvanias.
