Though it very much feels like it is poised to be an ongoing series, Treason works very well as a compact five-episode story. While Cox’s turn as a deeply flawed MI6 agent is gripping, it’s Chaplin, Kurylenko, and Ifeachor’s constantly-swaying allegiances that’ll keep you locked in.

Treason has more than enough tension and intrigue to span its 5-episode season. As long as it doesn’t get too bogged down with unnecessary side stories, the show should be very entertaining.

What an aggressively dull, uninteresting miniseries Treason is. None of the cast shows any effort in their performances; It's a lazy affair.

Treason is a Netflix miniseries that has a strong start, that gets you involved very quickly, but once the espionage part of the plot is put aside to give way to drama, the series starts to get progressively watered down until it comes to a tremendously unsatisfying conclusion.
I felt that they even squandered the good cast it had. I'm not at all surprised that the series didn't make noise after its release. Better focus on Daredevil, Charlie Cox. That's what we want to see.

The business of making this story look like it belongs in the here and now on the whole plays second fiddle to pace. Nor does the story hang around worrying about drag-anchor stuff like feelings. People look scared or worried or brave as and when required. But never for long.

“Treason” could easily reach higher — John le Carré remains the gold standard for this kind of material — and it’s frustrating when it doesn’t. You can enjoy the ride, even if you wish for a more fulfilling destination.

A very poor attempt at being clever and thrilling. Its a cheese fest of script alongside very poor acting. It's very much a b class series of bland and silly stuff. I wont five spoilers but the whole thing is badly performed cliche after even worse cliche.
