Gilbert seems like the one you'd most like the one you'd like to have in your actual mom's group. The others, not so much. [15 Nov 2010, p.43]

If you don't have a support group of pals to compare notes with, you could do worse than The Talk. Let's hope it stays lively.

I can't believe that Marie Osmond had an opinion that Oprah is nice. Then the old lady says it's not so much that she's nice she's is powerful. Okay, she just didn't respect what Maria appreciates about Oprah. It would be awful if Oprah wasn't nice then people wouldn't want to follow her or appreciates what she has to say. The old lady shouldn't just cut someone down especially sine we grew up with Marie Osmond and we love her. Please don't disregard Marie's opinion. It doesn't mean because she is older that she's wiser or treat someone else like you know everything.

I don't mind watching The Talk, But WHY does Amanda wear dresses so short?? She's too old to wear a dress clear up to her crotch!!!!!

This mommy-answer to "The View" is a somewhat dumbed-down version of that show except here the panel--Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, Sara Gilbert and Marissa Jaret Winokur--discuss traditional "women's topics," i.e. kids, cooking and such.
30
A clumsily obvious rip-off of the Barbara Walters sensation "The View."
30
Like "The View," The Talk was an hour of plastic blatherers pretending to be a microcosm of American women.
25
Unlike "The View," there were no topical references--the show could have been filmed five years ago for all its relevance--unless you count the moment Osbourne turned a vague discussion of divorce law reform into a rant against cyberbullying.

The Talk - I liked it in the beginning, but you've let Jerry Oconnel take over the show. I liked him in the beginning but his antics grow old. Why does he need his face before the camera constantly? Today when Natalie was talking about UFOs Jerry completely took over the show and kept saying she was high. I don't care if he doesn't believe in them I do. He should have kept his mouth shut. He just wants to get his face on camera. TONE IT DOWN FOR GODS SAKE JERRY. Sheryl can grind my teeth sometimes. She elaborates way to long. They are all supposed to feel so sorry for her. WHY? She really is jealous of the other women. She got her best friend fired and didn't shed a tear. Simmer Jerry down and quit treating Sheryl like a baby. She is treated like a prima donna and I bet backstage too.

I still watch the Talk but going to stop. I cannot stand Jerry O Connells & his annoying childish behavior. He takes forever to get a point across & then wasn't worth my time. He overtalks others. I enjoy the other 3 hosts. Get rid of Jerry & your rating will go up. He is as annoying as Kelly Ripa on Live with Kelly & Ryan!!

I have watched The Talk since it began. I've gone through the many co-hosts. Some I loved and others not as much. Still, I enjoyed the show. I would tape the show because I work during the time slot the show airs. When all of this went down with Sharon Osbourne I wasn't happy. However, I still "tried" to watch. I went from Sheryl Underwood being one of my favorites to where I can't stand to watch her. She has played the victim with what happened with her and Sharon. I lost all interest in the show and I don't tape it. When Jerry O'Connell started the show I tried to watch. While I think he is doing an amazing job as well as the other cohosts....I couldn't stand to watch Sheryl. She is so fake. Again, I didn't watch. Since Natalie Morales started, I again watched. Again I love all of the cohosts except Sheryl. Sheryl sat so attentive and acted so interested. She'd bounce from looking at which ever cohost was talking and her body language said oh you have such a good point. She is so fake!!!!!! The other cohosts engage each other normally. They aren't trying to impress!!!!! I will not watch until Sheryl Underwood leaves the shows. Your show has dropped so much in **** need to think about Sheryl's contract if you want viewership to remotely return. Thank you.

Cheryl Underwood is the reason I won't watch the show anymore! She got Mrs. O fired and that was dirty. You can tell everyone had better agree with her agenda and that is not the theme of this show at all. When Sara Gilbert ran things everyone could agree to disagree peacefully. I do not like this show now and it used to be a must watch for me. Sad that Marie Osmond got pushed off too.

I used to love the show, but I have reached a point where I wish they would get rid of Sharon. I hate it when she tries to be cute and raises her voice falsetto style to make a point. Most of the time she is superficial and an annoying name dropper. Sheryl is a gem and a great anchor for the show. Retire Osborne and the show will do better in my opinion.
