SuperMansion

SuperMansion excels at superhero send-ups, but it also delivers a compelling storyline in each episode. Some are more comic book-y than others.

It features lots of erections, absurd couplings and R-rated language. But it’s also smart and deliriously unpredictable. Even the throwaway lines are gems.

A ridiculously enjoyable but mighty raunchy stop-motion animated series.

In the end, what’s most disappointing about SuperMansion’s first episodes is how underdeveloped its superhero milieu is.

The show takes viewers right up to the cliff’s-edge of outrage before gently reneging. It’s all bad taste in good fun and the tonal whiplash that results tends to neutralize the humor.

Mysteriously, [Bryan Cranston] chose to help produce this stop-animation cartoon about aging superheroes that's about as tired as its protagonists.
