LeBlanc is brilliant; the writing and direction are brilliant; the show is brilliant.

Episodes is great--the sharpest sitcom debut this year. Among other excellent qualities, it's actively funny, with none of the dramedy lumpiness that spoils other half-hour offerings (bad camp, faux-energy badinage, heavy-handed sentimentality).

Really funny show. I didn't realize that Matt LeBlanc could do any other character than Joey, but he is fantastic. Everyone on this show is great, the arc of the show is just so perfect.

Great show that unfortunately flew under the radar (most people have never heard of it). I was lukewarm to it the first season but it really started falling in place by the second season and wish it went beyond 5. Matt LeBlanc's character is much deeper and overall much better than Joey in Friends. Although it's obviously exaggerated for comedic effect, I like the premise of the show, basically behind the scenes of how things work with TV networks, shows, actors, and agents. I also like that each episode is split between Matt, Beverly and Sean, and Carol and they intersect (though they intersect less in the last season). The main characters were good overall though always borderline a bit too much whatever traits they were giving them, though they most varied from exaggerated to more normal/realistic (aside from a few side characters).

If you find the premiere poky, stick with it: Episodes gets funnier with each succeeding episode, and the acting is superb. Yes: Matt LeBlanc = superb.

After three seasons, a satisfyingly dense layering of history and tension has been built into the relationships between the main characters.

A satirical and quite funny comedy about two British television writers, a husband- and wife team, Sean and Beverly Lincoln (Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig) who are lured to Hollywood to adapt their hit sitcom for an American network.

The new season thus showcases both the program’s strengths and inherent weaknesses, alternating between feeling clever (the promise of a trip to a Golden Globes gifting suite represents an effective bribe) and tired (seriously, aren’t we done with the agent-doing-business-on-the-treadmill gag yet?).

Episodes isn't even as funny as Crane and Klarik's last collaboration, the exceedingly mediocre short-lived CBS comedy "The Class" - and that's even considering that the new show features Crane's old "Friends" star Matt LeBlanc delivering a terrific performance as an exaggerated version of himself.

Started off good in first two seasons then went downhill very quickly just didn’t find it funny or interesting any more.
