The character can be his own worst enemy at times, but he sure is fun to watch, and when you throw in the kind of pathos that a comparable show like Entourage never really had, it's a recipe for something special.

In Season 3, “Dave” is basking in the confidence earned from its exceptional prior entry, but it’s not resting on its laurels.

An exceptional show, that transcends the hiphop roots of it's creator. Funny, charming, challenging, engaging, human and frequently magnificent. I liked Lil ****, but I LOVE Dave.

The best dramedy on television. I had no idea what to expect, and had never heard of Lil' **** before seeing this show. But the show is funny and emotional and nearly perfect. Way, way, way better than Hacks. And maybe a slight edge over The Great. Seriously, this is a criminally underrated and underappreciated show. It's simply fantastic.

“Dave,” season three, is as raunchy as you remember but also a bit telling. As he makes his way around the country, look for his world view to change. Sometimes, the more you see, the less you know.

I wasn’t individually blown away by any one single episode like I was with “Hype Man.” Instead, I was collectively impressed with how well the new season maintains its creative momentum. No, Dave isn’t quite on the level of Atlanta, but some of the tonal swings that creators Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer are taking are comparably ambitious, even if they’re frequently buried in that aforementioned onslaught of penis jokes.

While remaining properly, deeply funny throughout - Dave does feel like we are past the peak of manbaby comedy.

Watching “Dave,” though, feels somewhat like being trapped with a terrible party companion, one who both fails to meet the energy of the occasion and is an oversharer besides. It comes bearing at once too much information and too little else of what makes television work.

Lil **** is an extraordinary rapper, and apparently he’s also got a knack for cinema. I think we all wonder what being a famous rapper would be like, and this show is like living vicariously as Lil **** for a brief moment.

Funny and more nuanced than I expected. Something you can watch at different levels. Has all the college humour and brash **** jokes but also some interesting aspects of inter-personal relationships and self-realisation.

One of the best shows to come out in a long time. Unpredictably hilarious and real, this show hits home.

Not into the "white guy is too silly to have any street smarts" premise. "Dave" is kind of a vulgar offshoot of "The Neighborhood". So funny how these guys portrayed without jobs, don't comb their hair, and have back-ne get models cast for their girlfriends. Guess if you can pick anyone to have touchy girlfriend scenes it makes sense. In that regard, a lot of Dave's world seems very "cast" and unnatural. The guy seems genuine but I can't watch ultra-pathetic dude lays down neurosis each week. It's played.

Ooh !! it's a terrible show with a very weird and unconvincing premise. Low Brow humor at its worst. He should stick to just the music and not try to imitate the likes of Donald Glover.
