Speed Demon

All Concept, No Conductor I expected a fun, popcorn-munching ride when I saw the premise: The Exorcist meets Speed. Unfortunately, this film belied even my low expectations. While the production quality remains surprisingly decent, the screenplay and direction fail to support the high-concept hook. The characters feel hollow and completely unreal, making it impossible to care about the chaos unfolding on that train. As the story progresses, the plot holes grow wider, and the pacing drags significantly. The film is painfully predictable, leaving me impatient for the inevitable conclusion rather than building any genuine suspense. Poor editing does absolutely nothing to retain interest, and by the midway point, the entire experience feels like a total chore. It is a massively wasted opportunity that squanders a solid premise on sloppy, uninspired execution. Every character decision seems designed to test my patience. Overall, a frustrating 5/10. I hope they don't bother with a sequel which they dangled in the last 10 min.
