A movie of staggering virtuosity and raw lyric power, a masterpiece of terror, chaos, blood, and courage.

One of the best war movies of all time! It really demostrates the things these men had to go through, had to endure, and face during some of the worst parts of war. The acting was superb and you really truly felt every emotion. It truly makes you appreciate life so much more because of these men, all military, and what they fought so hard for! My appreciation runs so deep and this movie, and movies like it, allow me to see why! To see what they had to live everyday and experience just so we can be free and live the lives we do now. Must see 1000%!

Easily the best war movie I have ever seen. The story is incredible and every performance is top tier. This is a must see film.

No Hollywood film within recent memory has achieved such richness and originality of texture, such a compelling amalgam of passionate human drama and awesome technique.

Spectacular, wrenching masterpiece that unflinchingly documents the random horror, the grisly spectacle and the ugliness of war.

A magnificent piece of movie-making.

Using the overpowering techniques of modern film, Steven Spielberg has cut through the glory-tinged gauze that shrouds World War II to reveal its brutal reality, creating a phenomenology of violence unsurpassed in the history of cinema.

Nothing that suggests an independent vision, unless you count seeing more limbs blown off than usual.

The title kind of spoiled the movie. But to review this, this is some of the greatest of Steven Spielberg's golden age - by quality, his movies today do not seem as good as previous. Like "Jurassic Park">"Jurassic World". I have so much praise for it like the cinematography. I am always being about the cinematography! I enjoy when the camera gets shaky when the war gets brutal to make us FEEL along with FX where is guns & gory moments. One piece of the filming, which can often be significant, is the reduction of FPS when Tom Hanks goes through his moment. You know, I can notice a slow FPS when I see real life crime stories, which are too upsetting for me. I believe that it was perfect casting choices. Tom Hanks has had a history of WW2 & he has some emotionally nice chemistry with Matt Damon. Ha! I love Matt Damon. Ha! James Cameron had "Titanic" & Steven Spielberg had this. What do they have in common? Tell me!

İlk izlediğimdeki tadı alamadım. Yaşlandık artık sanırım. Gerçeği tatmak, kurgunun tadını kaçırıyor...

It tells a military mission set in the Second World War. The basic plot is quite simple but this, combined with well-made action scenes, not excessive throughout the film and a linear and functional development, makes the film really enjoyable and above the average of the genre.

This is a typical Hollywood movie with lots of flash but no substance. The story is a joke and the characters are as one-dimensional as you can get. There's lots of big explosions, blood, and body parts, so if that's your thing, this is for you, but if you're looking for something more, you'd best look elsewhere. Try Platoon, Thin Red Line, the Dirty Dozen, or even Patton for a more worthwhile experience.
