Lookout

Let's just be real about Lookout. It is a solid 5/10 mixed bag. On one hand, the cinematography and locations are genuinely beautiful, and the production values look way better than your average indie. It actually looks like a real movie. But the script completely falls apart. The plot is so incredibly underdeveloped that halfway through, I was literally asking myself why I was even watching this. The acting is perfectly fine, but nobody does anything great to elevate the material above its massive weaknesses. It looks good on the surface, but it is basically an empty shell. If you just want to stare at some pretty woods, it works. But if you want an actual story that goes somewhere, you are completely out of luck.
