Creed II is a terrific movie, a boxing picture full of inspired sweetness and shrewd science that honors the cherished traditions of the genre while feeling like something new and exciting in the world.

There’s a delicate intimacy between the characters that feels raw and authentic and like Coogler, Caple Jr’s indie beginnings seem to steer him toward filling a big film with small moments.

The Movie is amazing, so emotional, acting is brilliant, just such a great follow up to the original.

If the sequel is a notch less than its astounding predecessor, that’s because — like Adonis Creed does during moments of doubt — the filmmakers are overcomplicating things.

Creed II is very much a Rocky sequel. It’s bigger, louder, and more over the top than its predecessor, with a more formulaic story and more absurd boxing matches. It’s satisfying as a pop confection, but it’s not as special or as rich as its predecessor.

Rocky has always lived and died on its direct, unsubtle sincerity. It’s in these heartfelt moments where Creed II flies, underpinning its thoughtful climax and one of the series’ most surprisingly moving endings.

It’s certainly fair that Creed II would be about fathers and legacies and trying to avenge the family name, but without political context, the big fight is no longer a clash of ideas.

There’s barely an original thought or novel theme in Creed II, a movie that wrings more bloody-nose money from the original “Rocky” sequels in recycling characters, themes, fights and situations and putting Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson instead of Stallone and Talia Shire in them this time.

This movie was nicely paced and the fighting was superb. Adonis continues to struggle with his manhood but takes deep strides in his life and relationships. I will see this again for sure. Not sure why I didn’t see any white people in the theater though. Weird.

I like the 1st Creed alot. This one though is trying to be to much like the old rocky movie. He said he wants to be his own fighter. Yet the stories are just like the rocky movies.

Não é tão bom como o primeiro, é mais obvio o que acontece mas mesmo assim mais uma vez Michael B Jordan brilha no papel e só isso faz o filme ser melhor.

Redundant, repetitive, vacuous, shallow nonsense. Like most boxing movies, but this one is even less interesting. The genre conventions have all been run into the ground. Boxing movies have nothing to say anymore. Retread the same ol same ol year after year. We'll get a bunch more next year I imagine. The first Creed was wildly over rated, but it did have some flourish. The performances were interesting. The cinematic style was freshish. This is just a cash grab feeling film.

Shadow boxing excuse for a movie; it's a soulless, unnecessary, sheer bore that like its affirmative action insanely over-rated predecessor features a no charisma lead character played by an utterly lackluster actor who's in great shape physically but that's it. Points for a semi-clever plot digging back into the Rocky canon as Stallone did so cleverly throughout his series and no doubt had a hand in here (He should have called it quits though after the last one!), but the actual antagonist is nearly non-present. The tone on this spinoff series is wrong and this thing drags badly, one thing Rocky movies never did.
