WWE All Stars is one of the greatest wrestling games we've played in years, thanks to a gameplay system that's well balanced, a smorgasbord of wrestlers, a variety of options (again, Fantasy Warfare is a must) and a solid presentation.

Low on modes but astronomically high on fun, it's a great debut for THQ San Diego. [May 2011, p.73]

This is one of the best WWE games of all time. With the arcade like mechanics and great moves compared to how 2K Battlegrounds turned out. Though 2K's WWE BattleGrounds was entertaining, it didn't have a much replay value like THQ's WWE All Stars was.

If you've found yourself underwhelmed by the lack of grandeur in other wrestling games, WWE All Stars is where you belong. Like NBA Jam, the game will not send you into another world for hours at a time or offer a profound single-player experience. It will, however, let you toss your friend twenty feet in the air and then stomp on his balls.

WWE All Stars is a solid attempt to renew THQ's formula. A solid gameplay, a lot of WWF Superstars and a smooth graphics are going to enjoy every wrestling fan.

The arcade style gameplay -as well as the few available modes- may alienate some of the franchise's old fans, but that doesn't mean WWE All Stars lacks the quality and enjoyment that define THQ's games.

That said, overall WWE All Stars is a fine package and will give you a good few hours of fun in the single player, but stick with the offline multiplayer action to get the most of the game. The over the top action of professional wrestling is superbly recreated and is only let down by awful load times.

WWE All Stars contains arcade-style wrestling that borrows freely from regular fighting games, introducing concepts such as juggling to a genre that doesn't quite benefit from it. The inprecise controls are frustrating, and overall the game offers a decisively average gameplay experience.

WWE All Stars is a great game, its good to look at and plays great, the controls are simple and combos are easy to do.
I would highly reccomend to any fighting game fan or wrestling fan.

Of all of the wrestling games I have played, this is by far the best. It's over the top fun that you can play with your children and friends. It's not complex and easy to pick up and learn. The different modes give it some life and replayability. Well done.

WWE All Stars A Shallow Arcade WWE all stars is an arade wrestling game featuring a5 different superstars and 15 different legends However there isn’t much here to do In my opinion wrestling games are the best when theyre at their most ridiculous, it’s the reason here comes the pain and shut your mouth are some of my favorite wrestling games of all time so I had a lot of hopes with the one.. The models look crazy.. the finishers are insane… But theres no ooprtunity to have fun here beyond an hr or 2 The best part of the game is the path of champions mode… There are 3 different story lines with 10 matches each, for the undertaker, randy orton, and dx, Complete with fully animated and fulyl voice acted cutscenes… Why are these not part of every wwe game? they were hilarious at times and saved this game from being just a mediocre arcade wrestling game… They gave the game some personality… and theres also a fantasy warfare mode that pits legend vs superstar in a dream match.. Such as the mz and mr perfect… sure they stretched a little for these dream matches.. but this mode uses every last character in the roster.. so ill let it slide… It’s a pretty cool mode with a well edited promo before each match… You pick a side and play it out… But the good of this game ends there…. Match modes are limited…. the only specialty matches here are exture rules and a steel cage… and neither of the 2 are interesting or fun… and this game features hands down the least intuitive control scheme in a wrestling game period… I get they wanted it to feel like a different game than the smackdown series.. the now 2k series… But that’s no excuse for THQ to not just straight up copy themselves or at the very least put the option there to use that perfect scheme they’ve had since the 90s I felt like I was bashing the shoulder pads more than the face buttons… the button to pin and run are right next to eachother… you can imagine how many annoying moments that creates.. as well as the button for checking under the mat and climbing back in the ring are the same…. Running and irish whip are the same button… I never got an irish whip.. the most common move for me in any other game other than by accident… It really ruined the gameplay experience as I felt I was button mashing rather than picking and choosing my attacks… Which brings me to the matches themselves.. This game is more about the ko than it is the pinfal… and you can only ko with a finisher… You can pin but the computer kciks out 90% of the time no matter how hurt you have them… And that’s if you can even get them to stay down… again this is more of an arcade fighter inside of a ring than it is your typical wrestling game… everything is fast paced and the match can turn on a dime… I like the concept of WWE Allstars, all the craziest superstars with over the top ridiculous moves… make them look crazy… make them fly through the air from the simplest things like punches…. It sounds like the perfect party game… But the unnecessary over complication of commands and lack of any fun modes hurt the game the most… Its an arcade game.. if there was any time to experiment with crazy match ideas.. this was it.. and you missed your opportuniuty… I give WWE All Stars A 6.5/10

This game is like a medicine it needs to be taken in small amounts. Otherwise if you did what I did (sat there and played for 5 hours) It will be boring as hell afterward. There are 2 modes there is story mode where they all lead you to wrestlemania. You can play 3 different story's, the undertaker story (and in all of these you have to pick a wrestler to go against that person in the story) the DX story and the Randy Ortan story and when you done with that you can do a mode where you can play matches in 2 different generation picking which generation character to go against the other generation (confusing I know) But this dose complete its goal of being over the top crazy but it has limited replay value.

I can see why other people like this game, but it’s just not for me. Everything moves way too quickly for me to keep up well, the controls are odd at best (and cheaper than the original NBA Jam at worst), and there isn’t that much to do other than just play matches and create people. Speaking of the creation suite, it’s the best part of this game, yet it still is very bad. If you only make original characters, then maybe you can do what you want to do and make someone who looks good. However, if you want to recreate actual people, you’re out of luck. There’s minimal clothing parts, the hairstyles aren’t very good, and the entrance creator is nearly nonexistent, with only a few generic motions and theme songs to choose from, though the entrances of the wrestlers in the game can be unlocked. The roster is paper thin, only featuring maybe 30 total men and 0 women. The campaign modes are both just playing matches, with nothing much in between. All in all, if you want an arcade-style WWE game, go for WWE 2K Battlegrounds. That game has a much bigger roster, smoother and less janky gameplay, and is overall a better experience.
