Short, glitchy and uninspiring, Samson offers a solid atmosphere and a few interesting combat moments while being absolutely devastated by its flaws. If you crave a game of punching and driving no matter what, well here it is. Otherwise, it is hard to recommend Samson.
The good news is that a lot of these bugs and issues have been patched, but that doesn’t mean Samson is out of the woods yet. The melee combat still feels awkward, there is still graphical pop-in and jagged edges but the team at Liquid Swords have stated they are in it for the long haul. Samson is built with some excellent bones; its gameplay loop is fun and engaging and its gritty story is good and can be knocked out in 10-12 hours. And it should be stated that Samson is a $25 game which in this economic nightmare is quite the steal even with the game being a bit rough around the edges. Yes, the game has issues, but with the team’s proven dedication in fixing these issues Samson continues to improve but players will have to endure some bumps on the road to ultimate success.
Samson: A Tyndalston Story was clearly pushed to release in a raw state. We rather got a stub that resembles a piece of the first island from GTA IV.

The game is too broken to be playable. It’s clear that a lot is missing for it to be a real game. That said, the game is truly beautiful, and the atmosphere is well captured. A missed opportunity, in a way.

Don't pay much attention to the bad reviews, with all of the recent updates, this game it's now worth of playing.. If you, like me, fancy a open world game, where you can beat the **** out of enemies like a real debt collector, and push out of the road and destroy your enemy cars (not as good as the Burnout game in that sense, but still fun though) look no further... If that sounds good to you, for 25€ you can extract 25h if you explore this game enough. It's like, i don't play hack and slash games or fps because that are not the most fun games for me, try what you like, it's basically my advice.. I decided to add my review for this game, because i think people are being to harsh with the reviews for this game, for a game that is fun, and good effort from the devs...

It looks nice, but the gameplay is very clunky, and the various things you have to do are limited to three different tasks that are always the same and don't really work very well.

SAMSON is an exciting and unique take on its genre, standing out from Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row and delivering a gritty experience inspired by crime-action dramas. While fun to play, some systems could have been handled better, small bugs and performance issues are present, and I found myself wanting more story baked into the side-mission content, where small dialogue or contextual additions or extra environmental storytelling could have gone a long way. However, at the incredibly generous asking price, SAMSON overdelivers, providing a Triple-A experience for a fraction of the cost.

Despite the lack of optimization and official Brazilian Portuguese localization, and the fact that the game feels like it should have been released in Early Access, we must acknowledge — just as the studio admitted its mistakes — that they are being quick with fixes and actively listening to community feedback.

Jogo legal!

From ramming enemies in car chases and beating up rival criminals to hiding and fleeing to clear a "Wanted" state, there are several moments that remind you of Samson's inspirations and aspirations. Unfortunately, the end product amounts to a buggy and lackluster approximation of the open-world crime action genre.

Samson could have been a beautiful story, but unfortunately it lacks a happy ending. The gameplay ideas it introduces are interesting, and the game world is fascinating. Unfortunately, numerous technical issues and the repetitiveness of the missions prevent the game from truly shining.

Samson: A Tyndalston Story unfortunately turned out to be a weak game. It has a structure that seems impressive at first glance but is quickly overwhelmed by its own serious tone. I would say it is a production with potential, but one that fails to capitalise on it. When I first watched the game’s trailers, I thought it would be a run-of-the-mill action game rather than a classic GTA clone, but that it would still manage to entertain me. Unfortunately, not only is it a run-of-the-mill action game, but it also fails to offer much in the way of entertainment.

A failed attempt to make a lower budget GTA clone, that squanders a promising set-up with repetitive, poorly orchestrated action and an embarrassing script.

Ótimo jogo. Barato, pelo preço vale a pena. Faz lembrar do Driver que a Ubisoft matou

For a 25$ game it's not a bad game, game lacks a manual saving option and lack of optimization...

SummarySamson returns to Tyndalston, a city that shaped him hard, where every fight is close and every escape is earned. He owes dangerous people more than he can pay, and they’re using his sister to force his hand. The clock is running. The only way out is through anyone who stands in his way. Your debt grows by the hour, and the people... Read More
